We had the BBQ nachos, July burger, caesar salad, and carrot cake. The wait staff were always stopping by and the food was DELICIOUS. The July burger was the size of two hamburgers; the picture on the menu didn't do it justice. I'd totally stop in for nachos and beer if there was one of these near where I live.
Review Source:So sad to hear that RiRa will be leaving this great Bethesda location (this September) and moving to Georgetown, near the corner of Wisconsin & M. Â We had a birthday/Father's Day/summer event in the party room off to the side, and it was a rippin' good time! Â Food was good, and the service was exceptional. Â We opened up the floor for our Irish dancers, who wowed the gathering. Â Overall, a great time. Â Thank you RiRa/Bethesda -- we'll miss ya!
Review Source:The burgers - great. Sweet potato tots - great. According to everyone else at my table - their meals were at a similar standard. So as far as food goes, no problems.
The standout portion of our meal though, were the "Whiskey Tours," which offer four different kinds of whiskey from around the world. I hardly have a fine pallet when it comes to tasting whiskey (I'm no Ron Swanson, to say the least), I can appreciate a bargain. The four shots are poured small, so you probably get around 3 shots of good whiskey for only $12, compared to $8 for a single shot of certain brands.
However, aside from that great deal, the prices are my main complaint. Everything is pricey, especially for bar food. Granted, it's in a neighborhood (which is a great area, by the way) where it's probably impossible to get a decent meal for under $20, so it's to be expected in the area.
But overall, good food and good waitstaff. If you don't mind pricey bar food, Ri Ra is a great choice.
