Big Daddy's

I thought this place was great.  The staff was great, and the food was delicious.  6 people eating for 60 bucks, is pretty awesome too. loved it.

Draft octoberfest Samuel Adams was pretty good, and our take-out order came very quick.

But the Ribs weren't quite what I expected. A little too dry and could have definitely been softer.

Baked sweet potato was ok-ish. Mashed mass, not the whole one, but decent taste -- with a hint of cinnamon.

Chicken wings were the best of all the order. Nothing spectacular though.

I was very excited to try the new Big Daddys now that they are specializing in BBQ.  Please whatever you do - don't get the pulled pork!  It was the most unappetizing plate of slop I have seen in a long time.  I could almost picture the surley lunch lady with a hairnet and plastic baggies on her hands slopping a big ladle full on a metal tray while wiping her nose on her sleeve.  It was swimming in BBQ sauce so you can't even taste the meat and chopped so fine I'm not sure it was even pork.  Nasty.  On the good side the cornbread is excellent, the beans and cole slaw are good, service is friendly and good.  The acoustics of the dining room are terrible and you can hear everyone's conversations.  Since it is not far from Great Wolf Lodge, there are a lot of large vacationing groups of people.  I don't think I would come back.
