oyster shooter was perfectly made with a good size oyster and the right amount of vodka and cocktail sauce. Â Oysters on the half shell were a little small but good and the clan chowder was great with more clams than potatos. Â Had the soft fish tacos which were just OK - I expected more. Â The patio was a great place to sit on a summer night - not a crowded as the bar and dinning areas. Â The good service kept this to a 4 star rating.
Review Source:Stopped in with friends on a busy Friday night to address my oyster craving. Â Three dozen raw took care of the craving, while others at the table had a couple of dozen fried, some coconut shrimp, calamari, hush puppies, peanut butter pie, and key lime pie. Â Everything was great, and the service was perfect. Â Not an open table in the place while we were there, and still able to provide top notch service. Â I will definitely be back!
Review Source:I ate here while apartment hunting in Greenville. Â My dad is a big fan of oysters and was super excited to try this place. Â We got there around 7:30pm on a Saturday night and the place was super busy, plenty of people waiting and standing at the bar. Â We had a reasonable 40 minute wait before being sat.
The oysters rockefeller were very good, as well as the crab legs, monterey stuffed shrimp, and seafood kabobs. Â Our waitress was very nice and efficient. Â Since I'm moving to the area for work I have no doubt I'll be here again.
I had to go back and edit this review because Donnie from Bimini's went ABOVE and BEYOND. After posting my review he contacted me regarding my experience and asked how they could improve and invited me and my husband back. At first I was skeptical but we went back tonight and I am really glad we did. First, our service was fantastic - even though the place was packed our waitress was completely attentive and we never had to wait on refills. Our food was great. A complete 180 from what it was in our last visit.
And finally, I just want to say that I can truly appreciate Donnie reaching out. To me that shows how much they do strive to provide great customer service.
In fact, we are going to make plans to go back with some friends another weekend because this place just has a cool, hang out vibe.
By the way, I got the seafood kabobs (and seriously whatever they put in the rice is awesome) and my husband got crab legs and it was perfect. Â
My first review: 2 starts
I really wanted to give this a better review. The service was extremely lacking and my steampot was completely over cooked. My husband's plate was much better so I can't say everything was bad. The decor is really cute and it looks like it was a local hangout but if I want seafood I'll probably head somewhere else first.
Sitting on their cute little deck ALMOST feels like you're at the beach, and the sound of the fan behind me sounded a little like the ocean. The only thing that was missing was the smell of sea air! The food is fresh and delicious and the service is friendly. We tried the steamed oysters, fried coconut shrimp, and the hushpuppies - oh, the hushpuppies - so yummy. It's a bit off the beaten path between Pelham and Pleasantburg but worth finding for the fresh seafood and beachy ambiance.
Review Source:My sister and I had a birthday dinner here and had 15 guests. We had reservations, but when the first guests arrived they had given our table to another group of 15 that did not have reservations. It was a mistake, so they scrambled to get our group a table which ended up being outside on the patio. It was so nice out there! Our server, John (i think), was AWESOME! He did such a great job and ran all over the place getting everything for everyone. My husband and I shared a steam pot and everything was so good, besides the mussels. I was just recently spoiled with the best mussels ever at another restaurant, so that's why I wasn't too impressed with theirs. The crab legs were easy to open and the meat came out nicely. Overall everything was great. All the other guests said their food was yummy too. Will definitely return when I need a good seafood fix and feel the need for the beach!
