been there a few time before. Â went out with a couple we haven't seen in 10 years, and they suggested it. Â I made a reservation for 7pm. Â the couple came to our house, and we ran 10 minutes late to the restaurant. Â Rick Dissel, the pompous owner, greeted up with half a smile, and proceeded to tell us he was ready to give our table away because we were 10 min late. Â Thanks for caring Rick and making us feel unwelcome from the get-go!
We sat down, and ordered a bottle of red wine, which was corked. Â This happens, so I let this go. Â I ordered the new york strip with broccoli and their special brussel sprouts. Â I ordered my steak medium, medium rare.
The steak arrived almost well done, and I didn't make a stink because we had company of whom I hadn't seen in 10 years. Â The steak had a good seasoning though....but big difference between medium-RARE and well done. Â The brussel sprouts tasted great, but they were charred black and crisp from too much grilling.
Overall, the food is good, but well overpriced. Â The owner should spend his time in the office and stay away from his clients. Â The wait staff was wonderful and knowledgeable. Â Caveat--The average age on friday night was about 70--that is the average. Â Nothing wrong with that, it just felt like I was in Boca Raton South Florida.
It's alright. I've been twice for lunch. The service was wonderful. The food was o.k. The small steaks were nothing special. The bread tasted like the pre-made frozen stuff. Wish there was something special to the food.
The crowd was a bit older. My school age children would definitely not blend in here; nor would they like it.
After attending the Grand Re-opening of Prospect Jewelers, my wife and I strolled to the opposite end of the Prospect Point shopping center for what proved to be one fine dine! Â Unusual for Gale and myself to eat identical meals but we did this time. We had the Brown Sugar Salmon, the risotto, and fresh asparagus with a delicious light bread dinner roll. Â Wow! It was wonderful and the service was outstanding. Â We'll be headed that way again soon.
