Hidden gem in Sonoma!

We went on Sunday night for jazz night...I have never seen anything like it! People just brought their instruments and rotated in to play with other people. We probably saw at least 20 different musicians and they were all fantastic!

This seemed to be a place for mostly Locals, so it was fun to enjoy the atmosphere. Everyone was so nice, drinks were cheap, and the music was great...can't get much better than that.

We got there early (9:30 or so) which allowed us to grab a table...the place really filled up around 10:30-11.

I love dive bars.  Especially when I'm out of town. It gives you a good feel of the locals.  Well, my girls and I were in Sonoma & thought to come to this bar despite some people giving us the stick eye when we told them that we were coming here.  I love nice things, but I also love places with character.  
Bottom line the bartender was nice, but the locals were rude and uninviting.  I suppose it's how they must like their bar...local & non-touristy.
