Haven't been here for a couple years but I used to be a regular. I don't understand why this place doesn't have a higher rating? Danbury has such limited options. Come on let's keep this place alive. (No, I don't work for them, lol).
They have a uniqueness and a menu u won't find elsewhere. Sure it's not the best food I've had in my life but everything I've ordered on the menu is great. Blue chips, come on, that is awesome. I can't speak for the sushi, I don't eat that. Service has always been top notch.
Night life is hit or miss. I have gone in on dead nights and walked right out. I've had a couple really fun and lively nights here. Good drinks. I can only imagine after all these years there will be wear and tear on a space that is dual purpose so I hope they are maintaining it. It would be nicer if the place was bigger and had a separate dancefloor area.
I think Bluu deserves a higher rating - especially higher than some of the 1-star reviews it has gotten! I remember when it first opened and it  literally was the coolest place in Danbury...which isn't really saying a lot...however; the Danbury restaurant scene has vastly improved and Bluu hasn't really done anything to keep up with the competition.
That said, everything I've ever ordered on the handful of times I've visited has been great! The burgers (and fries) are my favorite in the area - and I've been to most "good" burger places - including The Little Pub in Ridgefield. The entrees have also been well-received by my friends and family. I've only had the Pear Pizza, pizza-wise, Â but it was very, very, good. The crust is not of the same class as Stanziatos, but toppings wise - it's superb. I have not tried the sushi from what I've seen, they have a skilled sushi chef.
My only wish is that they would have draft beer. The bottle selection is decent, but this is definitely not a place to go if your a craft beer lover. I signed up for their email list and they offer specials on Friday and Saturday, Â but not during the week. They also just announced they are closed on Sundays for events (not sure if that will last).
