This food is just OK. Right below Steak 'n Shake quality.
Fries and sandwiches MUST have been frozen prior to cooking -- they lacked freshness and flavor. I had the tenderloin -- would not order it again. Dry and tasteless.
We also got a small ice cream -- found it to be runny and have a strange aftertaste.
Over priced for what you get...
Sweet potato fries! Â Â Outstanding! Â There, I got that piece of business out of the way. Â Well, Boondogglers, I was pretty impressed with your food and friendly service. Â And if you have read other reviews, one may have picked up that I am quite friendly to local establishments, so I am happy to provide some positive feedback. Â As mentioned above, I ordered what is known as the "Bubba Joe Burger." Â Now, I've never met Bubba Joe, but I do wish to compliment him on his burger. Â It includes Angus beef, bacon, American cheese and BBQ sauce. Â Just what I needed on a grey Indiana day. Â Now those fries. Â Delicious - just sweet enough and a big pile - seriously, enough to share, but I did some damage to them. Â
Oh, and I happened to be there on "free frozen custard day," so I was able to sample some of their frozen treats, too. Â
All in all, a very positive experience and I hope to make it back there soon!
I took my 4 yo here the other night. It was 12.50, for a hot dog meal (kids' menu) and grilled cheese sandwich meal. Â I sprang for the sweet potato fries upgrade, for a 1.50 more, seriously I got half a handful of fries. Â I thought the food was over-priced. Also, I didn't like the fact that a drink is automatically added to the meal, I felt like I had to get a soda, usually I am a water girl. Â Also, the kids meal only comes with soda, no milk option, my son doesn't drink soda, so a waste of money, as well. Â The food itself was average. I didn't try the frozen yogurt, so that might be worth a trip. Otherwise, I won't be going back. Five Guys does it much better.
