This is my favorite venue. Â They book some really good musicians who play in a semi-small space which is cool, the tickets are in the $10 to $15 range, and there's free street parking or $3 lot parking at a church across the street. Â Bootleg is separated into two spaces. Â You first enter into Bootleg Bar where they tend to have solo musicians. Â The capacity is 150. Â There are a few small round tables, but expect to stand. Â Moving through Bootleg Bar, you enter Bootleg Theater, where they tend to have bands. Â It's a multi-use room, so there's a stage at the far side and by the entrance there are maybe 10 rows, 15 seats across, of stadium theater seating. Â Enough people choose to stand by the stage that there's plenty of seating. Â The capacity is 450, I think, for the theater side.
Review Source:DON'T GO TO THIS VENUE...
I waited over 30min to get into this place. When I got inside it was only half full. Why on earth they make people wait outside when people could be spending money at the bar is beyond reason. If I would have gotten there 20min early to see a band I would have missed their set. Needless to say I did not tip the bartenders. And I did not buy any band merch. There are a million things to do in LA at any given moment. Why would anyone stand in line when the place is half empty...
