We loved the Box Seat in Smithfield so we tried the one in North Attleboro tonight. What a sad disappointment. Can I say thank god for the 15% check-in coupon. It made the night a bit less sour.

Food was okay. Between a plate of fries with whole belly clams (see what I did there?) And a steak tips n chicken combo ( 1,50$ for a sorry excuse as a salad which isn't considered a side so they can stick the extra fee)

I was disappointed, food was okay, atmosphere was eh, ac was on too cold, service was alright but I didn't feel the love. Doubtful we will return.

Somehow I keep coming back here and each time I'm not entirely sure why.  Thee food is ok, the atmosphere is ok (though for a sports bar it's not terribly 'sporty'), and the service is perfectly acceptable.  But when all is said and done nothing stands out and I leave feeling like I could have had a better dining experience just across the street at Quan's, or Red Stone, or pretty much anywhere in town.

Sports bars should, in my opinion, feel like sports bars. Box seats feels more like a TGI Friday's knock off with more TVs and extra sports memorabilia on the walls.Only the food isn't quite as good.

Prices are reasonable, and as I said the food and service are ok. I just can't get excited about any of it. Except for the occasions when I stumbled upon Karaoke night. Then it was entertaining.

My wife and I stopped in here tor a quick bite last night .  With the fiinal four and the Bruins playing we looked and were able to get a seat at the bar.  We ordered a couple of beers and looked over the menu.  During this time we had to listen to the bartender, Helen's less than friendly customer and co- worker interaction.  We were surprised at how she spoke to the servers coming to get their drinks for their customers and also how she  spoke with some of the people at the bar.  It definetly seemed like she didn't want to be there. Rather than ordering a full meal, we decided to go with just an order of the Grand Slam Nachos.  They boasted that they were covered with their "Award Winning Chili".
When they came out from the kitchen the presentation wasn't bad. It was a good sized portion that incorporated tri-color chips, cheese, lettuce, tomato and their chili.  The taste of these were terrible.  The award winning chili seemed to be nothing more than canned chili with beans added to it.  This chili itself was flavorless.  We picked at the dish for a little bit but couldn't eat them.  We also noticed a couple at the other end of the bar seemed to have the same reaction and barely touched theirs as well.

This place might work for locals to go in for a drink and watch a game as long as this bartender isn't on.
Stay away from the nachos.... If you want good nachos head north on Rte. 1 for about a mile and hit the Mexican place.

Leave us in the grandstands..... We will not be returning to Box Seats.

We went on Sunday afternoon, around 1pm, and were seated right away. The place was dead but did fill in quickly behind us. I think the wait staff became overwhelmed. I had to wait about 10 mins for refill on coffee and people who were sat quite a few mins after us received their food well before us. Pizza was unevenly cooked and fairly tasteless. Used to really enjoy this place but don't think I'll be back anytime soon.

Went to Box Seats last night and as a resident of North Attleboro, I've frequented this restaurant many, many times.  The food is usually very very good and the service is outstanding.  The waitresses always have a smile and make themselves available to you where you can find them easily - not hiding in the back!
Last night, I had the complimentary soup & bread, which were just blah...veg & rice soup...not bad but boring...
I ordered the Cowboy Cheeseburger - well done with fries and my partner had the clam cakes and chowder.
The cheeseburger arrive, I put on my ketchup and cut it in half to eat it.  It looked delish until I cut it.  The bloody meat and wet bread completely grossed me out.  I know a lot of people eat their meat medium or medium rare but I simply cannot, which is why I ordered it WELL DONE!  I called over the waitress and sent the burger back.  At that point, unfortunately, my appetite was ruined so I ended up with a beer, some blah soup and some bread.
The chowder (chowda as the locals call it) was not brothy at all but thick and full of dill.  TOO MUCH DILL and hardly any potatoes.  The clam cakes (1/2 dozen) were so greasy they couldn't be eaten.   We sent 4 1/2 out of 6 back without being eaten, as well as most of the chowder.
All in all - our waitress was a peach.  She removed the burger from our check so basically, we paid $26 for a Blue Moon Beer, a Mountain Dew, 1 & 1/2 clam cakes, a couple bites of chowder and some complimentary soup & bread.
Overall, not a happy experience and I never did eat a dinner.
Very disappointed in this visit.  It seems like the quality of the food or the food preparation has decreased.  They seemed to be more concerned with getting people in and out than what the people were getting for food!
I'll be looking for something else locally rather than this spot from now on.  Too bad because I can walk there from my house!

I would say this place is as middle-of-the-road as it gets. Nothing terrible, but nothing outstanding. Unfortunately, that pretty much sums up the entire experience. I was there with my fiance' and some of her family and the general consensus was the nothing was great. The food was decent. Not great, not bad. Maybe it was just the gluten-free, but it seemed like everything was kindof bland. On that note, the complimentary onion soup wasn't good. it was basically just beef broth with barely-cooked cut onions in it.

That said, with so many other sports bar type restaurants out there, I probably won't be back.

Felt unwelcome.  Food was average, at best.

Wife and I tried this place because it was a sports bar that serves pizza which seems to be a tough combo to come by.  We definitely felt like we were making the bartender's life harder by sitting at the bar, is was overall adequate service, but she definitely did not seem happy to have our business. My wife's burger was par and the pizza was just good enough.  My wife ordered a soda water and was charged for a $4.50 beer that I didn't catch until after I paid, so my fault for not seeing it, but still stuck in my craw.  I guess I would give this place a "kind of" recommendation.  If I lived around the corner I would go there again, but wouldn't drive over 9 minutes to get there.  I really want to give it 2.5 stars, it really was an average experience.

Solid joint.  Soup and bread bar with dinner.  Food ranges from good to great.  Service is usually very good.  The owner is a character!

This is one of our absolute favorite local spots and here's why: consistency, dependable customer service, a menu that suits everyone's needs, and convenience. We often end up here on Sunday nights when we don't have other dinner plans.

A major plus, you get free bread and soup with every meal and the prices are definitely affordable. Their pasta salad (comes with most sandwiches) is out of this world; I have been trying to figure out their secret for over a year. I also adore the Spa Haddock.

The bar is a cozy local spot. They offer NFL Sunday ticket but note that their TVs are really small.

Like others said it didn't have the WOW factor I was looking for. Food was ok service was good and the sports pictures inside we're great.

This place isn't bad, but there's really no "wow factor".  I'd stick with the American classics and skip the seafood.  It's not bad, but a seafood restaurant around here will do a better job.  Free soup and bread makes everything better, though!

This place is good... not great. Free soup & bread, service is usually prompt. The food  is much better than the chain restaurants just South on Rt 1, but not as good as some of the smaller restaurants on Rt 1A in downtown N. Attleboro.

Staff is "out to lunch" and rude. Food is not the real problem.

My daughter and I recently had a late lunch here after finding that our 1st choice was closed until four. I chose the three cheese ravioli and my daughter got the chicken pene. I thought the service was fabulous! The waitress, a blonde women, im not great with names, was very polite and accomodating to our requests. The decor was homey but not over the top. Its a great place to stop by after work for drinks with the ladies, or a family dinner on a sunday. A top ten of my fams!

My husband & I ate at Box Seats on Friday night. Walk in & we were greeted by the hostess immediately & seated. Our waitress came right over & took our drink order & gave us our menus. I had the baked haddock with mashed potatoes
& butternut squash. Everything was wonderful. We also had the free bread & soup. The homemade chicken orzo was delicious!  Overall we had a great experience  & will go back again soon. I will upload a pic of my meal & hubby's lasagna!

Came here for years and loved the unlimited soup and bread bar til we learned that its not unlimited when the bill came and we were charged per cup til we complained. Was told its supposed to be one cup of soup. I called the owner and he implied that we abused the soup by taking to much. My husband and I didn't even have soup. Our sons did and one didnt really have much the other did since he had a bad cold. We won't be back how insultive!

Box seats was a solid eating establishment.  Both my wife and I had the chicken parm and it was very tasty.  We ate in the main dining room that looked as if when it would be full it still would not feel like you were a sardine.  I would go back.

I live very close to Box Seats - so we have had many a meal here.  Of all the meals we've had, none of them have been memorable and almost all of them have been a hassle, but, options are limited in this town.  Even the times I've ordered take out have been terrible!  I show up at the time they quote me, and I end up waiting around for 10-15 minutes more.

I gave it one more shot last night after the local Mexican restaurant was too packed for my liking - never again!  I should have just gotten fast food or something.

Our waitress was nice, but absent most of the visit.  I ordered chicken marsala, and my man-friend got the baked haddock.  We were there for nearly 40 minutes before our food arrived. The meals of  everyone in our section arrived before ours, and, might I add, it was not very busy at all!

The waitress never refilled our drinks, nor did she check back to see how our food was.  Annoyingly, she was cleaning up and walking around in front of our table practically the entire time.  If she had come back, I would have politely requested at least some parmesan to give the bland marsala some life!  It had almost no mushrooms, and the chicken was pre-cut into gross-looking cube shapes (with some hard bits in them, which was disgusting). The haddock was overcooked, as well as the "fresh steamed vegetables" that accompanied it.   Completely a waste of money!  My marsala was $13, and the haddock was $12.  Imagine what I could have gotten at the grocery store for that much money...

Such a disappointment!  North Attleboro could really use some great locally-owned and operated restaurants.  This one just falls so short.

not too bad.  I had the Cuban sandwich with sweet potato fries.   The sandwich had good flavor, with a nice hint of spicy heat.  The fries were a nice alternative to regular potato fries.  Only downside was the price.. a tad on the pricey side at $11.50.

Wife had the MVP burger.  She said it was pretty good.  Kids got a cheeseburger and  tenders/mozzarella stick meals..   The kids burger was a good sized burger, while the other meal consisted of a few good sized tenders and a couple of cheese sticks.   Both had a good helping of fries.

decor is all sports... walls are loaded  with tons of sports pics.  Service was ok.  Waitress could've been a bit more attentive, but not the worst I've seen.  She was cute, so I'll cut her some slack.

I went out for dinner with my family. As a waitress, I am rather picky about service and food, but tonight was not an instance of me being simply picky.

I can't speak for anyone else at the table (though my boyfriend said his steak tips were undercooked), but my food was awful. I had the seasonal veggie wrap with pasta salad on the side. The menu described the wrap as seasonal veggies with balsamic vinaigrette in a white wrap. Now: I have had wraps like this at many different restaurants because it is often the only vegetarian option on the menu. This one tasted like Chinese mixed vegetables, in soy sauce, on a wrap. Carrots, snap peas, and broccoli. In a wrap. And they weren't even good vegetables. They weren't cooked, the "dressing" was WAY too salty, and the wrap itself was bland. The pasta salad wasn't any better: the dressing on it overpowered everything and it's all I could taste. I ate a few bites of everything, put it back down on the plate, and watched everyone else eat. Our waiter never came to check on us; had he come, I would have complained and asked for something else. Instead, I paid full price (which, I might add, was OVER priced for a wrap made with three of the most boring vegetables) for a meal I didn't even eat.

On top of this, our waiter had no manners. Never introduced himself, didn't ask how we were, never once said "you're welcome" to me (only to my mother!), never said "have a nice night" or even "thank you." Well then, you know what? You're welcome, for the 15% tip you earned. It was more than you should have gotten but my waitress guilt got in the way.

I won't be returning and I won't recommend Box Seats to anyone.

Stopped in the other day. No one to seat us. The waitress was rude and ignored us most of the time. We were never informed of the soup and bread that was available to us. The waitress even attempted to correct my dates ENGLISH!  I called to speak with someone many times, but no manager was in nor did I ever get a call back.. Go elsewhere to spend your money!

We found box seats by accident hungry with no direction we stopped in. We ordered the grand slam nachos 8.99 they were completely loaded with everything from salsa to chili. I ordered the blue burger 8.99. And jay ordered the Philly cheese steak 8.99. Huge portions and qualify food nothing overly processed and real angus beef.  Two free refil drinks and free fresh home made bread and soup$35 beautiful!!

A solid 3, meaning OK, and as with all 3s for me, I would go back, but it is not fantastic.

The fact that every meal comes with free homemade soup and bread is a definite plus.  The day we went it was chicken and rice, not bad.

Everything our party ordered was OK:  salmon steak, Cowboy burger, combo platter.  Mine was Chicken scampi.  It was a little thin on chicken, and the wine and butter sauce was not up to the standards of let's say a DiNero's in Cohasset, but it was allright.

Easy parking.  Interesting funky former mill.

Last night i was running late and me and my brother-in-law  were on are way to Tweeter for the Lynard Skynard concert and wanted to grab something to eat. We opted for Box seats thinking since there was just two of us we could get one of those tables over by the bar.Walking in and it being almost 6 i was surprised to be seated right away with maybe 3 other groups there. My bro-in-law got the fish and chips that was ok but kind of burnt and had to be picked at but it wasn't like not eatable (by  the way i can not spell ) I got the cornbeef rueben and when asking for extra thousand islands on the side did not get it but as soon as the waitress who was very nice by the way said oh i forgot your extra thousand islands let me go grab that. She was back in less than a minute. The serves was fast and friendly. I had not been there in a while and new it was under new ownership but it was still the same menu and such which was great. They also have soup and bread you can help yourself to. The prices are not bad i just wish the menu had a little bit more to it. The menu has grown a bit since they first opened. Its not my first choice but when everything else starts to get old i will go there.

Interesting sports pub resnt. with a cool memorabilia decor of the boston flair! The unlimited soup and bread is really a value and actually pretty good...the food is average with sizeable portions...but needs more flavor n zest...Tuesdays are a good deal with a buy one get one free....The wooded bar is a cozy casual hang out to watch a game..!!!

we went with another couple, on their recommendation, and i enjoyed it.  My favorite part was the soup and bread bar...you can just go up and help yourself.  And being a carb-o-holic  i loved the bread.  it was great.  the rest of the food was ok...not amazing but not overall dissappointing.  the onion rings are very good.  I got a fajita chicken salad that came in a giant taco shell.  the chicken tasted a little funny and wasnt really "fajita" style.  but the shell was good :)  the others all got burgers...the fav was the Backyard BBQ burger.

Its definitely a quick, cheap eat in a fun enivrontment!

Nice little sports pub off of Rt. 1.  The place was lively, and waitstaff friendly.  Typical sports pub fare, but they had a bread/soup bar to enjoy before your meal arrives.  Can't wait to try this place again.
