I came here for brunch the other day and the area around the restaurant is quite cozy. The same can be said about the decor and it wasn't too crowded.
I ordered the Salmon BTL and while it was quite filling, I felt like it needed a bit more seasoning. Service and wait staff was also quite friendly and informed my party of the daily specials. I must say though, I did enjoy their tollhouse cookie pie. That was delicious.
OK so let's start by saying that I really was excited to try this place. Â The service was very attentive even though our server was the only person waiting tables. Â I ordered a black and tan which barely had a spoonful of guiness! When I ordered a second one it came the same way. Â Ridiculous!! Â My dining partner ordered a glass of wine which was suffice it to day ridiculously small. Â We ordered the hanger steak for one of our entrees which again was insanely small for the price. Â We also ordered a burger which was well done even though it was supposed to be medium rare. Â When the check arrived there was not one mention of how they could make "our experience" right. Â We will not be coming back given the other options available
Review Source:LOVE this place... it's an upscale pub and great "pub grub"... sometimes a bit noisy, but it's a bar... and to be expected. Â LOVE their mussels in white wine... some funky crazy "Irish type" dishes that are NEVER served in Ireland, but that doesn't phase me. Â GREAT Sunday brunch... fun pub and we always love to go there.
Review Source:This is a pretty good burger joint. Â We had a group of 14 at lunch and they were able to accommodate us with no problems. Â I opted for the Blackened Blue Cheese Angus Burger. Â It was your pretty standard blackened blue cheese burger. Â It was not bad at all. Â Our waitstaff were very attentive and kept our drinks filled. Â I will probably be back the next time I'm in town.
Review Source:First visit after living nearby for a few years. Didnt have burger but seems like a great burger and beer joint. I had the reuben which was piled high witb corned beef and swiss. Very good sandwich. Service was great and place has nice irish pub atmosphere. Only negative was they were out of guinness!! Unacceptable for an irish pub. Otherwise they would have received the fourth star.
Review Source:Good pub menu, good bar and friendly neighborhood service makes this a great local spot to grab a casual lunch or dinner. The food is standard pub fare but it's fresh, well prepared, and served by a staff that is atypical of similar spots. ie. They are more mature, not the typical HS or college kid looking to make a decent buck off tips, who could care less about your experience.
On the weekends, expect a wait, but if they tell you its 15 minutes, its 15 minutes. They have an upstairs dining area which can get pretty noisy with the spirited crowd that comes there on a Saturday night.
Prices a re reasonable, foods good, beer selection is VERY good and you'll have a good time here. Who can ask for more?
I've only drank here so that's what I'm reviewing. On weekends the upstairs sounds like a club. Unless I'm playing with glow sticks and there are raver chicks lost in space around me, clubs really aren't my thing. So I don't go up there.
Downstairs you will find everyone who doesn't dig on Rihanna and David Guetta. This being the only real bar in Ramsey means you can find the old dudes who like to sit at a bar alone and the business suit type. The bartenders here make a hell of a Long Island. Also if you ask for something like an AMF or a Buttery Nipple they are just going to stare at you. "r u srs rit now?" is what their expression looks like, I like that.
This place is the only game in town for nightlife. It's not bad but I wouldn't travel out of my way to go here.
Went there to watch Sunday night football....walked into bar and they had the Simpsons on all of the TVs...asked the bartender if they were going to show the Football game and he said "yeah we watch all the games" and proceeded to turn the channels on the tvs to the football game...He then walked away and we stood there and stood there and stood there and he never asked if we wanted a drink so we left....will never go back.
Apparently he did not need to make any more money for himself or the establishment.
A bars bar. Â outdoor seating, weather permitting. Â Very nice "old bar" feel, quaint. Â Plenty of room here and every game imaginable available to watch. Â Decent crowd seated and standing downstairs. Â Upstairs is big as well, had a live band playing. Â Bartenders were attentive. Â They had a few unique beers on tap. Â Menu seems a bit extensive for a bar, the food was pretty much what you would expect at a bar. Â I guess it is part restaurant too, but predominantly bar.
Review Source:Standard pub food. Â They have a roof deck where you can watch the streets of Ramsey. Â Nothing to really write home about but they do have some tasty soups in bread bowls that are worth mentioning. Â I'd recommend the chili or french onion soup. Â
More of a local spot for nearby residents it looks like.
This is a good bar to catch a late night drink. The food to me is ok...the decor and layout is pretty cool. They have a bar downstairs, typical irish pub feel, upstairs is i would say the main seating area with another bar. They have a balcony as well, which sits over main st in ramsey. Parking is iffy, small. You will probably end up parking across the street.
It's worth a try if in ramsey.
I went there for a birthday dinner with my parents and a few friends. We ordered 2 appetizers for the table to start, fried calamari and wings. Both were fantastic. The calamari were crisp, and not a lot of tentacles, and the wings were cooked to perfection. The selection of beer they have on tap is fantastic, including their own micro-brew, Brady's Ale, and PBR. I ended up getting their version of the Sliders, called Cho-Cho Burgers as my entree, and they were delicious. Will definitely go back.
Review Source:What is this? Â The "Brady's At The Station" employee social hour? Â Why was I invited? Â Oh wait...
I'm a stickler for service, as anyone who reads my reviews knows. Â The service at this place was pret-ty bad (the slow, inefficient, getting slower, did he just mess up my order?, this-kid-thinks-he's-charming-and-can-therefore-Âget-away-with-this-kind-of-service-but-he's-Âsorely-mistaken kind of bad). Â
That being said, this place isn't all terrible. Â The food is decent to good and reasonably priced, they have a dart board upstairs (if you can get to it) and the atmosphere is nice. Â Word to the wise: if you're from the area you may want to stay away from Brady's on the weekends...unless you like impromptu middle school/high school reunions.
I only go here for a drink, and the location of this place is convenient since i live close by. Â Otherwise, i probably wouldn't drive more than 15 minutes to get this place. Â The food stinks, except for their french onion soup. Â It's the only thing i'll eat there. Â It's a pretty nice place if you're just looking to meet up with a few friends and grab a beer locally - that's about it.
Review Source:A couple of friends and I went here for drinks/dinner Friday night after work. The place was packed so I figured the food was going to be good. I was sorely mistaken. I just got a spinach salad with pears, cheese, cranberries and walnuts and it was not good. I mean come on how can you really screw up a salad?!?! There was a ton of spinach on the plate with 3/4 pieces of pears and 2 slices of cheese. There was a handful of walnuts and the cranberries were super hard and chewy. The dressing was disgusting.
Now, I should have stopped at the salad, but we were in the mood for dessert so I shared one with my friend. We order a cookie pie with ice cream and walnuts. The pie was over cooked and there were more walnuts in the pie then chocolate chips. There was only one little bit of ice cream and they for some reason put strawberry sauce all over the whipped cream (which was on a different plate). Very strange.
I think I will have to stick to drinks only when coming here.
Brady's itself is a very nice looking place and has a great looking bar on each of its two levels. During the warmer months the upstairs balcony is a nice change since you are over the traffic. My biggest complaint is the uneven service. The menu is good but nothing special. Â For me it's a nice place to have a drink but there are better choices in the area for lunch or dinner.
