Stopped in here for a quick libation yesterday evening around 6 PM (St. Patrick's Day.) Â There seemed to be a lot of activity, with a grill set up outside and a guy was shucking oysters. Â Inside there was live music and plenty of TVs to let you catch up on March Madness (it was also selection Sunday for the NCAA men's tournament.) Â I had a Fat Tire on draft which was only $3.50. Â Most place charge between $4 and $5. Â Didn't try any of the food, but based upon the general level of activity, I'll try this place again.
Review Source:This is a tiny hole in the wall place. Go with a group of friends--I've never tried to meet people here but not sure if it would be easy, it's such a random group. Karaoke is awesome with a group of friends beacuse no one's that great and you can totally goof off.
Awesome drink prices and the bar tenders are great. I would go back for fun anytime!
So, the food wasn't great...bar food at best. But the atmosphere was fun. I first drove up to the bar and there were a bunch of bikes outside, and people just smoking in the parking lot...I was a little, shall we say, hesitant. But I went inside, found my friends, and sat down. I wound up having an awesome time! The live band was great!! The drinks were reasonable. I'll just eat dinner before going next time that band is playing there.
Review Source:If you're tired of the Glenwood South or Franklin street scenes where you have to buy a new wardrobe to walk in the door or take out a second mortage to buy a few drinks, Bralie's is ready to provide sweet relief. This bar is what many would call a 'dive,' but in the best sense of the word. The drinks are cheap, the drink specials are even better, and you'll always find a friendly face both behind and in front of the bar.
During the week, the crowd is usually smaller and subdued. You'll find a few regulars at the bar, usually a handful of RTPers heading in for a couple of after-work drinks, and on occasion some unusually-dressed revelers (for the Thursday Theme nights).
Bralie's has a rather unique dance party/karaoke setup on Thursdays which fits the bar's character very well. On Saturdays there is often a live band, and always no cover! These are usually the nights when Bralie's is busiest - everyone loves good music, it seems.
If you want to watch NFL, college sports, or NASCAR, Bralie's has a few plasma TVs that provide all the action, and Sundays are "Buck Em" days, with domestics for $1.50 a bottle all day...so you can put on a good buzz on the cheap while watching your favorite event.
One final note: as of now, Bralie's does NOT offer food, so you will have to pay a $1 membership fee if you plan to come often.
