Great beer, great food, and great people.   Easily the best neighborhood bar in Lancaster.

Awesome corner bar/pub. Excellent selection of beers. Ahhh, this is what was like going to a bar in the 'good old days'!

Very cool dive bar, great beer selection at decent prices & not bad pub fare food too. Always an eclectic & diverse crowd of customers to keep the jukebox fresh and atmosphere fun. My only complaint is the smoking. This is one of the few bars left in Lancaster where customers can still smoke inside and the majority do. Combine that with the horrible ventilation and it can make for a very unpleasant experience. Easily a 4-star bar without the smoke.

Really angry bartender, she never even smiles even when thanked.  Friendliness is everything, you should at least feel welcomed and here I did not.

I've been going into Brendee's (Town Tavern) since I was a neighborhood kid looking to score underage beer. Those days are long ago since gone, but it remains my neighborhood bar even though I bought my own house and moved out of the neighborhood 2.5 years ago. I am a regular on Wednesday nights for trivia and the 9-11 micro pitcher Happy Hour is a double-plus bonus. I agree about the smoking being a concern/problem for non-smokers, but I figure that for a few hours once a week, I can put up with it. They have an outstanding draft selection, the kitchen puts out some massive portions, the take-out beer is constantly rotating and improving and I know just about everybody in the joint, some going waayyy back. I am definitely a fan.

If only it were nonsmoking! Otherwise terrific pub with great food (and sizeable portions) complemented by a decent beer selection and exceptionally good service. Come on a Wednesday or Friday night and you might get to meet a Dutchland Roller Derby girl!

Ah my favorite pub in Lancaster.  Not enough vegetarian fare, but the portobello sarnie is delish.  Lots of good english/irish booze which is always welcomed.  Often have good live music - good luck trying to find a seat on a fri/sat night - but worth the wait.  Grab a drink, get saucy and lean somewhere.

The perfect eptitome of a nice dive bar. Yes, they exist! And I'm only calling Brendees a dive bar because it's slightly "off the beaten track" and serves up cheap food and drinks in a non pretentious environment.

The whole bar has a very friendly mom and pop feel. It's very clean and well kept up, actually I believe from looking at their facebook page they just underwent some major renovations!

The have great specials every night like 25 cent wings and $2.00 well drinks.  They have entertainment some nights of the week and you are treated like an old friend upon entering and ordering. The menu is large and full of classic American bar food with some classic Irish delicacys and snacks thrown in the mix.

Great place to just chill on any day of the week. My only complaint? that they had a REAL dart board instead of the electronic one...haha.
