Ill give it 3stars because it was ok.  Liked the decor and the beer.  Food was ok, I had thd fish and chips just because i was told that it was served wiyh the fullsize potatoes fries.  Wrong...regular fries, I felt like the pirtion was very small and with no taste.  I have been to england anf ireland several times and I must say a they should be ashame fir serving such plate.  My girl friend had a mash and sauces meal...fir the price I felt that I got mugged for $14.95.

If I came back it would be fir the good selection of beer not the food.

really enjoyed this place and can't wait to go back! they call themselves the only authentic irish pub in lancaster and while this may be a jab to the others, it really is true. the bar is a magnificent structure that looks like it was imported straight from ireland. ornate, carved dark wood with what seems like millions of bottles. plenty of beers on tap, speciality local and imports. the food was great too. i had a salad - i think it was southwestern chicken salad and it was honestly one of the best salads i've ever had. perfectly grilled chicken. DH had the shepherds pie and it was actually made with lamb unlike other local places. he loved their beer selection. the outdoor patio was hot midday but i can imagine it would oh-so-awesome in the evening.

can't wait for grandma to babysit again so we can come back here!

We were recently on a vacation back East.  Philly, then onto Lancaster County, PA, where we met up with my two of my siblings, one from Western New York State and one from Pittsburgh.  We are definitely a motley crew, and I am the "baby".  The first night we had dinner (all senior citizens, all of us, and as I said, I'm the "baby") we chose the easy way out and ate at Olive Garden.  You can't go wrong there.  The second night, I really wanted local flavor, and my brother was pushing for Red Lobster, again, the easy way out.  Well, I was just not having it, so out came Yelp.  (I'm sure sometimes they just hate how I get on the 'net and navigate some of these sites).

The very first restaurant listed was Annie Bailey's.  I then went to the menu, and it looked like a perfectly diverse menu, and the restaurant was easy to find.  So in we marched, all 6 of us.  Not a flinch at our advanced age, we were promptly seated and attended to by Anne.  And I actually got acknowledgements from both brother and sister as to the good choice!  We started off with fried pickles - can you imagine?!  They brought 6, so we could each have one.  The salads were good.  I had the tomato vinaigrette dressing, some had the white balsamic vinaigrette dressing.  Both dressings were excellent with just a slight bite to them.  Three of us at the table ordered Fish and Chips (normal for an Irish Pub and a family with an Irish background).  Can I say DELICIOUS in how many ways?  Scrumptious.  Finger-licking (except eaten with a fork), Amazing.  And the list goes on.  The others all had "small plates" and shared, and that made this a really great experience.  Something for little appetites, something for everyone.

Thank you, Yelp, for having this recommendation at the top of your listings, and thank you, Annie Bailey's, for keeping me on the good side of my siblings.  I can guarantee if it had been a failure, I would never again have been allowed to choose a restaurant, and would forevermore be destined to eat at Olive Gardens and Red Lobsters.  Not that there's anything wrong with that - but when you're in a new city, choose new things!
