This place is no longer open for business... yet the promo for groupon is still active???

It finally CLOSED. Apparently, when you have enough stabbings and bar fights the city will eventually shut you down. Couldn't be happier.

Just came home from a wedding reception.  The DJ was good thank goodness.  The rest was downhill from there.  The service was beyond slow.  The father of the bride had to go and find out why the food was not being served as we had been there for a long time.  When we got the meal it wasn't hot, not even warm.  More like room temp.  The "gravy" or sauce that was on the chicken was like paste. My table all agreed the potatoes were left over from the day before, and cold carrots. Mmmmm.  The vegetarian meal was suppose to be vegetable lasagna.  Two Vegetarian meals out of the twelve were at our table.  When the waitress was told they had the vegetarian meal, you could see the shocked look on her face.  They FORGOT to make the lasagna.  25 Min's later (you know the amount of time it take to cook penne) the guests were given a plate of penne with chopped up carrots on it.  Carrots that they had on hand from the reg. meal. Just carrots.  No other vegetables.  A vegetarian had to wait additional time, as they DIDN'T cook ENOUGH and had to make more for that dish.  I heard that the mother of the bride asked a waitress a question or something, and when the mother turned to walk back to her table, the waitress basically rolled her eyes and made a "whatever" face.  That's a waitress that needs to find a new job.  While they are looking for new waitress's they might also want to hire a cook.

Great place to go with a larger group of people -- there's a ton of space, and pool tables, food, plenty of space to walk around, so it is ideal for not usually having to worry about cramming a ton of people in a small space.

Turn off / down the horrible music!  Food is "ok" - but we couldn't make it thru the drinks cuz of that noise - so we left.

This place use to be the place to be on Saturdays back then few yrs ago for me.

I wasn't going to R&R this place but EFF THAT! My last bar experience was so terrible that Im just gonna let it out..
The worst bar experience EVER! U wonder why ppl don't wanna go there anymore.. Just saying.. I will NOT be going there anymore, sry.. I spent abt 150$ @ the bar hoping the next rounds wld be better but to only be disappointed over n over. Smh, terrible..

The redbull and greygoose drink taste like just redbull and u can clearly notice that it was just redbull by the color of the drink. When I confronted the bartender she stated that, it is automatically measured for the liquor to come out @ a certain amount, YEAH, what like 2 drops of liquor!? I am not an arguer so I just let it ride. She cld of @ least spoke to management abt it and see if she can fix it. As for the waitress that was serving my drinks, she was NO HELP @ all either.
The good waitresses Im sure all quit and are now working in DownTownLowell haha..

Oh and the shots of patron, are u kidding me????? It was like a lick lol.. Yea Im exaggerating a bit but it sure was not no shot.

It's just too damn bad the service and liquor suck ass because this place has potential to come back up like the good old days.
The venue is BIG, plenty of seating, pool tables, big screens and Mechanical bull and other games. Of course drinks are cheap, shld be even cheaper lol...
Trust me, I dont mean to diss my local bars but C'MON!!
Just correct your BAR SERVICE and customer service and this place will be good...

    Good Luck Brew!

Ok, maybe maybe just MAYBE ONE DAY I will go back and then ill update my review but as for now and for awhile this review stands.

Gosh, I need a drink after writing this!

    -Happy drinking =.)

The good: cheap beer, mechanical bull, lots of people for the singles out there.

The bad: pool cues not having tips for the longest time, missing pool balls, the smell, the weird convention vibe going on with the tables and chairs between the dance floor and bar, the mostly terrible music, and finally, some of the, shall we say, thuggish clientele.

The place is definitely showing its age and could use a makeover.  I haven't been out there since maybe May or June, but I doubt much has happened that could put this place in the awesome category.  It also got a little tedious getting the occasional stare-down from people while waiting for drinks at the bar or while on line for the bathroom.

My company took 100 employees here for a spring event.  The Brewery Exchange is showing its age.  Yes, it is housed in an old factory in Lowell; however, while some updating has been done, the place needs a serious makeover.  First, the smell: it is dank and old. upstairs location (where larger group events are held) is hot.  Swamp hot.  The video games are old and many are on their last leg.  The mechanical bull is literally being held together with duct-tape.  Duct tape!

The food: Sub-standard pub fare at best.  At worst, frozen menu items reheated for mass consumption.  One item was chicken served on a stick bathed in a cream sauce.  How on earth can you eat chicken on a stick bathed in sauce?  Either you get your hands covered in sauce trying to eat with the stick or you miss the stick and choke on the stick.

Service:  It was spotty.  Naturally, there was a team of blonde waitresses dressed in shorts hiked north and just barely south of respectable.  Some were more attentive than others.  Obviously, in a large group, their goal is to sell as much liquor as possible.  As the event organizer, I arrived early and was barely acknowledged by anyone. In fact, it took me several days to get the restaurant's event planner to return my calls to confirm our final number.

I don't know that I would take a large group here again.  There are other venues that have similar atmospheres that do this much better.

I went here on Friday with my date to play pool.  I remember this place used to be a packed club years ago.  Fortunately, it was just the right atmosphere.  We got in a few games of pool and air hockey.  The cocktail waitresses were quick.  The place was lively enough for a Friday but no overly packed.  I think this place is a good spot to hang out with some friends in the game room.  There is a dance floor and electronic bull, but I didn't check those out.

Me and my buddy had a good-time here i was in the area because of a meeting i had in the area... The atmosphere was excellent the bartender was attentive and food came out quick!  What more can you ask for?  I ordered a burger and we had some nachos with chix.. We also tried a few of the micro-brews and they were tasty.. Still consistent thanx fellas..

I used to come here when I was six to eat french fries and play indoor mini golf and skeeball. That was awesome. As an adult, I am not too impressed. The crowd is obnoxious, the dance floor is obnoxious and the mechanical bull is a mechanical bull. I have to wait in line forever to get a drink and if they have unique beer, it does not stand out.

I saw some friends play here for the Mighty Mighty Bosstones Dropkick Murphys post show and that was really nice. It is a great set up for a band. Typically though they have a "top 40" DJ who plays obnoxious house music and not one top 40 hit I recognize.

I took my non drinking friend here for her 21rst birthday and the waitress was an absolute doll. She was very patient about bringing out every beer they offer until we discovered my friend does like beer and ordered her a pina colada instead. Gee...wonder where all them beers ended up...

Pretty nice place but I wouldn't compare it to places in Boston. Nice atmosphere and friendly waitstaff. But the drinks were served in cheap plastic cups, I thought I was at sporting event. Invest some cash in a nice pint glasses, they have 2 giant TVs but no glassware's for drinks. And please do something about 4 inch ice that is covering the walkway, for second I thought about going back to my car to grab my ice skates. But overall not a bad place to grab a drink considering it's in Lowell.

One of my favorites in Lowell. The downstairs which is now a Boston Beer Works is a great place. Same food you would expect from a Boston Beer Works and the downstairs is nice if you are looking to find a bar where you can hear your friends.

The upstairs is nice for a party atmosphere. Lots of games, dance floor, darts, drinks. All in all is a great place.

My sister recently moved to Lowell, and ironically I will be in the next few months, so she wants to check out the restaurant scene as do I. Today we went to the Brewery Exchance, which is now Lowell Beer Works. I have to say, I really liked it!

I started off my visit with a deliciously refreshing watermelon ale, which was served with a HUGE slice of watermelon on the rim. After that we order our meals. I got the El Paso Chicken Salad which was a hearty salad (served in a punch bowl!) stocked full of grapes, pecans, apples, avocado and grilled chicken with a spicy rub. It was excellent. My family members got: A burger (huge), Chicken Chow Mein Salad, Flat Iron Steak, and blueberry stuffed sausages.

After our meals we got a sampler of beer which consisted of  Pumpkin Ale, Victory Red, Nut Brown Ale, And IPA. They were all excellent. I wanted to take home a growler of the pumpkin ale but unfortunately they were not set up for it yet.

Everyone in my party left very giddy and satisfied. I am excited to move to Lowell by this restaurant alone!

The only reason I'm giving this place 5 stars is because they are finally making my dream come true and turning this place into Lowell Beerworks...in just a few short weeks I will be only a couple hundred yards from their delicious, mouth-watering watermelon beer! I'm eager to find out what unique, local names they are going to give all of their beers...

Don't get me wrong, I'm truly disappointed that they will no longer serve Concord Brewery's Rapscallion Premier (literally one of the best beers I've ever tasted - and quite high in alcohol percentage) but I will NOT miss their horrible food and service. I once had a server spill an entire beer on me while I was eating outside with a party of 6. I was so wet that I simply walked home without eating my meal. I told the others not to worry and to finish eating without me. When they returned to my condo after eating, they informed me that the server brought my meal over to the table (even though I was long gone at this time), had it wrapped up and still charged everyone for it!

I'm giving this most mediocre of all places 5 stars because apparently it is being demolished! 5 Stars for new beginnings!
We can only hope for better everything.
But I kind of liked the older European man who was the maitre d'.  He was always very kind and friendly.  Maybe the new ownership will keep him on.

I've gone to the Brewery a few times to hang out with some friends who live up north, and most of the time I've come, they've been packed. I was lucky enough to have a nice and competent waitress each time, since trying to get the bartender's attention at either of the bars was pretty near impossible when the music was blasting. The food is okay - your typical bar food of french fries and other stuff to absorb the tons of alcohol that comes rather cheaply (compared to Boston). There was one Saturday night when they brought out the mechanical bull and it seemed to be a hit with the scantily clad girls and guys who wanted to be pimp.

There's a bunch of pool tables in the side room, so if you bring a larger group, you can be entertained for a few hours (and it's relatively cheap pool). There are enough big screen TVs to watch a football game or two while downing some cheap beers as well.

It's an okay hangout with tons of cheap drinks. If you're a student, you can show them your ID and get in without paying the $5 cover charge.

I went there for dinner on a Saturday night. I was hoping to try some of the beer they brew locally. I opened the beer menu and saw a great looking oatmeal stout. Our waitress came over and I ordered my oatmeal stout. She looked at me blankly and then realized that I was actually ordering off the beer menu. "Oh we don't have anything on the beer menu, we are in the process of switching to the Boston Beer company." She then rattled off a list of beers that to my amazement included Pabst Blue Ribbon- classy. I ordered a burger and fries. The burger was okay but the fries were soggy like this wasn't their first time being heated.

Overall, I was incredibly disappointed. I was expecting a restaurant with great beer and I was left with poor food and beers that can be had anywhere. If my mission was to skip food and head upstairs to play games and drink Bud Lite all night I might have had a better experience.

I have to agree with the consensus of the rest of the reviewers... I didnt like atmosphere of teh place to the point where I just stumbled my drunk ass home instead of waiting til my friends wanted to leave.

Yesterday this place sucked.  The Killers were at the Tsongas Arena and the whole place was packed before the show.  They were so understaffed that they had to stop serving food and ran out of beer!  It's a BREWERY!!!
What a joke.  Anyway, we bought about 30 beers at once rather than waiting in line over and over.  Luckily we did this before the drought.

We reached the proper level of drunk before the show.  It made it bearable.

It's good for a non-offensive evening out with coworkers.  Big place, easy access and parking, has lots of pool tables.  On the other hand, food is extrememly standard pub food, nothing beyond burgers, chicken fingers and nachos, and the beers are OK but the cocktails suck.  People also bring their kids too, a little strange in a bar but it tells you how tame it is.  I think it's good that people with families have an option to socialize wit friends in a bar setting too... but not that exciting if you are looking for night life.  If you want to play pool for hours though, this is a good place.

Great place to go with co-workers after hours. Easily accessible with a nice big parking lot. The food is standard pub grub and they do brew their own beers, which are okay. It's a nice place to go and play some pool or sit around and down a couple before going home.

This place has great beer, great food and great times. My friends and I like to go on Saturday nights to play pool. We go earlier in the evening (personally, it's too loud in there for me later when the DJ gets going) and there is usually a line at the door when we leave.
