Affordable drinks, friendliest girl bartenders ever, and FREE arcade games!

This is like a poor mans Dave and Busters - but everything is FREE here.

FREE pool, FREE ice hockey, FREE entrance.

My favs include pinball, Daytona, Street Fighter 2, NFL Blitz.

Next door to Goldfinger's if that's your thing.

This is a great little place that i hope will never go away. The drinks are priced right and not too expensive. Actually, the happy hour drinks/specials are very cheap. The food here is alright but for all the other entertainment you get here (arcade games and pool) it makes up for every flaw about this place. The bartenders are really nice too and pretty hot.

This bar is a DD's dream!

The bar has free arcade games (including classics like pinball, Tetris, and PacMan) and pool (there are 3 pool tables).  The servers are all really nice and are very quick to bring your order.

The location is very shady--it is in the same center as Goldfinger, towards the end of the parking lot.  I have to admit that when we first came up to the bar, I thought it was going to be very sleazy.  However, I changed my mind as soon as I saw that the employees were nice, as were the patrons, and the bar and the bathroom were very clean.

My new go-to bar in San Diego.

Ever since I was a young boy, I played the silver ball.

I love arcades and miss them. These days they don't make much sense as a customer. Between my PC and my phone I can play all my favorite classic games but there is something lacking. That thing is getting drunk in a public place.
This is where Brewski's reigns supreme. Mix in super sexy and flirty bartenders with cheap drinks and unlimited silent scope and you have a full grown boy's dream. I'll admit if they gave out free drinks and charged for games I'd end up spending more so god bless the system they have. The only thing that's missing is police trainer and I'd have to buy a dialysis machine for the liver failure that hanging out here so much would give me.
It's also tucked away a bit so parking tends to be fine and there's food on my way home.
PROTIP: If you need a place to party and have a DD. They can have just as much fun here, treat your DDs right!

Brewski's is my go to San Diego bar. I would be there all the time but living in the IE kinda puts the brakes on that. I only found out about this little slice of heaven from fellow Yelper Shannon M. THANK YOU GURL!!! I made this my last stop outta town and met up with my friend J and her husband S, to celebrate J graduating her masters program. Brewski's is a little hard to find. If you imagine the building structure is in the shape of the letter H, you need to cut through the middle of the H and drive down to find Brewski's; you'll see Goldfingers first. I was surprised how busy it was for a Thursday evening, granted the ongoing 2013 draft had something to do with that.
I absolute love the fact that everyday has a drink special and it isn't any of that girlie garbage. When I come to drink, I come to DRINK! The Vegas Bomb wasn't my thing but I did enjoy sucking down my Bloody Mary. I was doing some recon for Sundays duh. The fried bar food came out fast, wasn't over done and gave your a good sized portion so thumbs up there. The free classic arcade games are what sold me on coming here F-O-R-E-V-E-R. Area 51, the OG Pacman, House of the Dead 2, Ivan Stewart's Super Off Road are well worn into my memories of my middle/high school years and will always carry a special place in my little black heart. They were all in good working order but House of the Dead 2 only had one gun and the second gun on Area 51 needs adjusting but all in all ok. I would like to recommend to Brewski's on perhaps purchasing The Simpsons or TMNT to add to their arcade harem.
If retro gaming isn't your thing Brewski's also has three huge flat screen  TVs playing nothing but sports, sports and more sports. When we went it was the NFL draft, MMA and an NHL game. Plus with discount admission to Goldfingers next door why are you still reading my review and not on your way over there right now ?!

    Pros:
Daily drink specials, TV with sports games playing, and FREE ARCADE GAMES AND POOL! Fun place that can easily occupy you for a whole night. And if you suck at pool, like me, this is the place to go to practice!

    Cons:
Slightly hidden and looks very very very very very extremely shady, but once you get inside it's not too bad. Total sausage fest, there were only a few girls besides the ones in my group, and most looked like the gamer type.

Hell yeah! this will be my new go to bar!

I first came here on a scouting mission for a new hangout spot and I have to say this bar is equipped with plenty of entertainment for just about anybody. They have daily drink specials, $10 domestics pitcher, play all the UFC fights and FREE arcade games!
Not to mention they also have some of the hottest bar tenders in town. My favorite ones are Samantha, Leslie, and Courtney they've always made me feel welcomed by greeting me and taking my order with a smile. These ladies sure know how to please a man, in a customer service sort of way... you pervs.

All in all an awesome bar with great customer service, cool people and a super fun atmosphere! I think I've found my bar.

Brewski's! All around pretty cool! Food good, staff friendly, free pool, free old school games, free soda and I liked the hip hop music that was on.  I usually don't like new hip hop but it was good! Had me feeling nostalgic.  Already made plans to return and battle a friend a round in Galaga!

Yeah! I have found a new local hang out!

I sent Mario G. here on a mission to scout the place out for me while I was having a girls dinner date. I called to get the scoop and decided to meet him there for a nightcap.

The bar is a bit hidden, but you can't miss the sign for Goldfingers. Turn in to the parking lot and head all the way to the back right hand side. Brewskis is sandwiched between a car repair place, Goldfingers, and the Moose Lodge. Parking is plentiful, and the lot is pretty well lit in most areas.

Security is posted at the door and inside. They will verify your ID, so don't come without it. They don't play around here, so get off your machismo high horse, calm the fuck down, and have a beer. Security just wants to make sure the girls are safe and that everyone is having a good time.

As a female who often goes to the bar alone, I appreciate the extra muscle around here. I've never felt unsafe, and I was told that if I'd like them to escort me to my car, they would be happy to do so. +2 stars!

The ladies room is a single bathroom, and is kept well stock and reasonably clean. Any issue brought to their attention is addressed immediately.

The girls pour quickly and efficiently, Samantha does a great job with the floor serving up drinks and taking food orders. Shady, Courtney, and Leslie are all very personable and pour a good drink with a cheerful attitude. Customer service is really amazing here.

The food is a limited menu with standard fried bar food. There are a couple of different options like a Boca Burger, Pizza, and Chicken Tacos.  If you hang out at the bar they have free pub mix available in the back for you to snack on while you sip some suds.

If shots are your thing, Brewskis has both a Jagermeister tap and a Fireball tap, keeping your liquor frosty cold until you are ready. Domestic Pitchers are only $10 and have one of those neat ice coolers inside of them to keep your beer cold.

Brewski's offers extensive drink specials every day of the week. The specials are super cheap and posted on their menu.

    Monday-$1 off all pints
    Tuesday-$2 Margaritas
    Wednesday-$3 Jack and Cokes ($3!!!!!)
    Thursday-$3 Jager Bombs
    Friday-$3 Fireball shots
    Saturday-$4 Long Islands
    Sunday-$2 Wells (my personal fave!)

I'm not sure about the other drinks, but their well Vodka is Gordons - not too bad! $3 Jack and cokes? Are you kidding me? Where in the area can you get a Jack and Coke for only $3?

If the friendly girls, cheap food, and insane drink specials weren't enough, Brewski's has several pool tables and arcade games FOR FREE like Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter 2, Virtual Cop, Pinball, and Daytona USA. They even have Pac Man for the love of god.

If all of this still isn't enough for you, you can get a $5 off pass for your admission to Goldfingers next door when you pay your tab.

If that's still not enough for you, go back to bed, you must be in a cranky mood.

I come here after work with friends and co-workers sometimes because it's only a mile or two down the street. Definitely a chill laid back place to hangout, play free pool, free arcade games, and get cheap drinks. We always have a great time!

They serve food here but I have only tried the chicken wings. They are actually pretty good! And I like the music!

Also had my pre-birthday celebration here, had around 30 people show up (took up half the joint lol) it was a lot of fun!! I was a little worried that my friends might think it was a bad bday choice because its not that appealing of a place... but everyone had such a good time that people have been asking me to do round two at brewskis!

Deff would reccomend coming here for a laid back time, drink, or even to just shoot some free pool.

Free. Admit it, that is your favorite number.

My friend invited me to come hang out at this place and said there was pool and a bunch of video games for free. I had to ask her what the catch was.

Nevertheless, I came and sure enough, all the games were free! There were a few pool tables, but they were on the small side and the table we got a ball was missing. All the arcade game machines were pretty old and outdated, but they all still worked. My favorites was the racing games and how you can race against your friends and air hockey. I played plenty of games that I would normally not pay for like the shooting games and pinball.

Apparently the drinks are cheap and sodas are free! I'm still confused on what the deal is with this place, but cant really complain when everything is free/cheap.

I'm usually not the one to play arcade games, but just watch but I had fun playing them. Overall, I think this is a cool place to grab some cheap drinks, chill and play a few games.

Who can compete with FREE? Who needs Dave n Busters when you can play games, chill, and get super cheap drinks here. The games are a little outdated but they have all the classics. An old pinball machine, pacman, some gun games like house of dead II, sports games, racing games, air hockey!, and a few pool tables. And yes all for free! no cover either. The great thing is that there were a decent amount of people here, but somehow we were always able to find a game to play and without waiting in lines most of the time.

Their drinks are an amazing price too. For example, $4 long islands on Saturday.

If you want to get drunk before going to the strip club, goldfingers next door, or vice versa, then this is perfect. They have a shared private lot too so parkings not a problem.

If you're going here to pick up chicks, you might be able to pick up guys that look like chicks? I mean.. there's like 80% guys, and I feel like most of the girls that come are probably just going with their boyfriends, with a couple rare singles. What do you expect with a strip club next door? Nevertheless, would still come back!

I love this place.  The owner and the staff are all really really cool.  The best part is the free pool and free arcade games.  They have about 20 arcade games spread out all around the pool area.  The first time I went to the bartender and asked for change for the arcade games and she was like "They're all free"... my jaw hit the ground.  Me and my friends like to get  a few pitchers of beer and played unlimited pool, along with Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Deer Hunter, Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat 2, Off Road....  yeah pretty much an epic time.  I was also pretty surprised to hear some really good music being played like The Naked and Famous and Metric spliced in with the typical party music like LMFAO and stuff.

Just a great San Diego vibe at a hole in the wall kinda joint.

Cheap drinks, friendly bartenders, cozy, great atmosphere, free pool and classic arcade games -what more do you need? Take it from someone who rarely drinks; happy to finally say I have a bar I like. The jalapeño poppers are also pretty good. Daily drink specials are insane. $2 margaritas on Tuesdays? Sold. One of my new favorite hangouts with friends, though why they never went with the obvious name Barcade is beyond me.

I would have given this place a 5 stars IF I had not encountered the blonde bartender who may very well have the worst pair of eyes in San Diego. I was trying to order a round of drinks for my coworkers, but this bartender gave me a hard time because she did not think I was the person in my driver's license photo. I told her I didn't have another photo ID and to just look at my eyes, because no other Asian chick has smaller eyes than me.

After much skepticism, she asked another bartender. The second bartender took a QUICK GLANCE at me and nodded that I was indeed the person in the photo. Oh, but Ms. Blondie did not want to believe her because she was reluctant to let it slide. Just as she was about to hand my ID back, she quickly pulled it back and asked another bartender for her opinion. And guess what? Third bartender had no doubts about my identity either.

I couldn't believe she gave another patron a bullcr*p reason why she was all paranoid, saying she previously committed a violation! Now if that were true, she should have been carding every person she served...which she, in fact, didn't.

Putting her aside, all the other bartenders were very friendly and the drink specials were pretty decent. It's nice this place has free arcade games and pool tables; felt very laid back. I'd come back, but would find a different BT.

After discovering this place my boyfriend and I came back 3 or 4 times that week. It's the best hole in the wall I've discovered yet.

FREE games, CHEAP drinks and AWESOME bartenders/servers. And they serve food late!

It's definitely a guys place, but one that girls would enjoy too. I can't get enough of the air hockey, pool tables and mortal combat.

I found it, went there and went again and again and ......
Cool laid back place with so much to offer including an all day long happy hour, free game arcade and free pool tables. And I guess that is pretty much that can fetch the crowd. Food is good, prices are reasonable but not as good as could be in 'happy hours'. Its a huge place, seating area is sufficient.
Its located right next to a strip club, and employees from there are also seen at Brewski's sometimes. Its kinda behind couple of buildings but it's there, so just look carefully.

A little on the divey, sticky side. Dark and dingy. But totally fun with a friend.

There appear to be two Brewski bars in the Miramar area, and they need two different Yelps - the on on Hibert (by Trader Joe's) is different than the one by the base...

What a hidden gem! Came here for the first time for a happy hour last night after work and it will not be my last!

Located across the Miramar military base and next door to a strip club; the assortment of people in this bar shouldnt be surprising. But i didnt run into any creeps so this place could have been in PB for all i know.

    Pros:
    1. STRONG drinks, i didn't pay for any of these drink so i cant speak on price but---my jack and coke was definitely all jack, no coke. Greatness.
    2. FREEEEEEEE GAMES. Such an assortment too! We're not talking broken pinball machine and peeling felt pool table. These games are quality and definitely add to the good time.
    3. Good assortment of music blasting from the juke box, keeping the good times going.
    4. Theres food! We got mozzarella sticks, fries, and a pizza. Mozzarella sticks were good pass on the rest---but being inebriated i didnt notice how these things tasted.

    Cons:
    1. n/a

    this place is great!

Convenient place for those who live around the Miramar/Mira Mesa area, but there are no other bars to hop to once you get tired of the place. However, there is a strip club next door (Goldfingers), so this is the place to predrink at beforehand.

Love that all the games here are free, including, air hockey, billiards, and plenty of old school video games. The hockey table's scoring system is broken and the billiard tables may be missing some balls, but hey, they're free so I can't complain.

Their mozzarella sticks didn't come with mozzarella sauce last time we ordered it, but they gave us some once we asked.

$10-$20 pitchers and other daily specials. Also, super hot lady bartenders.

    Specials:
    MON -$1 off all pints
    TUE - $2 Margaritas
    WED - $3 Jack & Coke
    THU - $3 Jager Bombs
    FRI - $3 Fireball Shots
    SAT - $4 Long Islands
    SUN - $2 Well Drinks

Found this place by chance, as it's about a block north of my work's San Diego office.  Ended up going there 4 times in the span of two days, sometimes to eat, and sometimes to snag a quick beer to relieve the work stress.  Because this place has such an amazing array of beers to try, only one of which being your grocery-store crap (Coors Light, more on this later...), I was able to sample a different bit of SoCal's finest Micro-Brewery offerings on each trip.

If a hearty choice of craft beers is what you're looking for, give this place a shot.  Their food is also pretty good; I had both the Fish & Chips, and the Nachos (which they call chips, cheese & jalapenos), and both were satisfying.

Service is fantastic, friendly, quick, and best of all informative when it comes to the beer selection.

As for the Coors Light: ordering a glass of the cheap stuff will result in a bell ringing, seemingly in honor of your lack of adventurous beer trying spirit.

    What a great dive bar!

A coworker of mine wanted to have happy hour here. All I got was ...something something... next to Goldfinger. Isn't that a strip club? Interesting... kinda sketchy part of town for a "good bar". But I'm glad I gave it a try!

FREE GAMES!!! Happy hour specials ALL DAY LONG! They also have a fun juke box. Not much people, looks like regulars and some dudes that wanted cheap drinks before going to the strip club. Bartenders were pretty friendly, bouncers were pretty cool as well. Also they serve bar food (haven't tried it, but next time!)

A really good dive bar! It's better than all the other happy hours around UTC area.

What makes a good bar a good bar?  Well how divey it is thats what!  This place is great!  They got really nice people behind the bar, they always have some kind of a good special, and they have free NBA Jam and Mortal Kombat II!!  That's worth the price of admission alone!  and don't let any other review fool you,

THIS IS A FULL BAR WITH A FULL LIQUER LICENSE!

Not only that, they have really awesome craft beers on tap if that's your type of thing.  Plus, Goldfingers is like right there if you require that type of entertainment!  This place really is a good time and you should all check it out at least for the friendly atmosphere and free bar games.

The new owner now has maybe a dozen full size arcade games (free) from shooting, fighting, driving, and my favorite nfl blitz.  They also upgraded their liquor license to full bar. .... Well u call it's are $2 all day sunday!!!

Beside the beer breweries on miramar rd this is by far the best dive bar in the area.

Now this is my type of hole in the wall bar. Right next to the Miramar Base and less than 10 minutes away from home. They don't have happy hour here, but all beers (both taps and bottles) are pretty cheap anyway at either $3 or $4.

And the taps are super cold. Plus they chill the glasses too so it's even colder. For whatever reason, the sign outside says "Brewski's Bar" and that's the real name, not Fatty's. I asked the bartender about why the different name, but she was brand new to this bar so she didn't have a clue. But whatever...so the actual name is Brewski's Bar.

It's kinda hidden off of Miramar Blvd, but look for the "Animal Hospital" sign and turn into that driveway; keep driving past the titty club and it will be on your left. They don't have too much liquor, just vodka and maybe a few others, but it's mostly beers on taps and bottles including Stella and Sierra Nevada.

They have an electronic jukebox, a couple of pool tables, dart game and an ATM. 3 or 4 tv's as well. There is a variety of people who visit here and they range from the super old to the newly-just-got-out-of-boot-camp-marine.

Anyways, this place is pretty laid back and I would foresee future visits in this establishment. Hopefully they can get more liquor eventually.
