I've been hesitant to write this review since I'm not necessarily a fan of the faux irish pub invasion of Miami. Â
In addition if you are not careful you can certainly rack up a monstrous tab here since some drinks are $15 each and there is an auto gratuity and service charge you need to be mindful of. Â
However, due to recent events I must give BIP it's props. Â Last year the wife and I came here to watch Game 6 of the NBA finals and had a great time watching the place explode for the Heat championship. Â Not one to mess with the sports gods, my wife and I came here again for the pivotal Game 7 of this year's NBA finals.
Well I can say that good luck worked and we all know the result. Â So, as long as this place keeps providing positive Juju to our CHAMPION Miami Heat I am more than happy getting raped by the $15 drinks. Â It's a fun place too and a great place to catch a big game.
Just watch that tab....
It saddens me to say it, but Brickell Irish Pub really doesn't feel Irish... or Pub-like. Thankfully, it is located in Brickell, otherwise it's name would be completely superfluous. It might be safer for them to rename it Brickell Bar and move on with life. Just because some women wear tartan skirts doesn't make it Irish. It's always loud and usually pretty crowded, making me wonder why I visit at all. It now seems like they have live bands perform on their stage.. wait a pub with a stage?? Hmmph. Seems out of place to be honest, almost an afterthought. Last time I went, the bar was out of stock of my favorite scotch; mind you it was overpriced by several dollars from what I can get just up the street at another Irish-themed Pub. An overhaul is needed stat!
Bottom Line: If the drinks are on special, I might come back, but no reason to go out of my way.
