If you go here put this in your mouth: Â Olive Burger Deluxe.
That thing rocked.
It rocked so hard I just took my wife back in there to make sure it did. Â It's like a blissful mix of Whopper and regular restaurant burger. Â Hot damn. Â
And usually I'm not a burger guy. Â I mean, I eat as many burgers as the next guy, but, a burger is a burger. Â But this one; damn.
Other than that it's a bar in West GR. Â I've only been during daylight hours for food. Â I'm sure they have normal booze. Â They have normal tobacco stained roof panelling. Â They have tons of Notre Dame paraphenalia. Â The staff is uber friendly. Â
And they have fucking fantastic olive burgers.
Hit em up.
1996....that's how long I have lived here. Â I have never heard of The Broadway Bar. Â Yesterday I overheard a conversation regarding this place and I decided to go. Â You need to know I love "joints". Â You cant build a "joint"...it can only happen over time. Â This place is the real deal. Â
To begin with, this is a family owned and run business. Â The big deal is the Broadway Burger which is about a pound of food dressed as you wish. Â The food is great...as a matter of fact, last night in honor of Polish Days they featured the best cheese and potato pirogies I have EVER had. Â Â
When we left we got hugged by Cynthia the waitress! Â Just a matter of fact thank you for coming. Â We were officially now part of the Broadway family. Â It is a fabulous place where Halloween is the featured decor at the moment. Â Like pulled pork? Â They smoke it out back and only serve it from time to time. Â Last week they featured smoked chicken. Â You hear the expression "homemade" all the time. Â This is the definition of home made. Â
If you like great burgers, and by the way the rest of the menu was just as tempting...and you love a great joint, this is by far the best I have found. Â If you want fancy don't go....if you want real and authentic history and love and food and ambiance....go there tonight. Â BTW it is very small...you may have to wait...trust me....you will be glad you did. Â Hope you get a hug too!
We went to the Broadway Bar on the recommendation that they had really great burgers. Turns out they're just regular burgers. BUT I'm really glad we checked the place out. The place is tiny, with a flat top grill built right in to the back bar. I haven't really seen that set-up before. The walls were covered in different stuff- including an impressive collection of back-lit winter country scenes, which I love. The music was unbearable, but I don't blame them. There was one girl working the internet juke box and she was 100% responsible. The bar tender was great- friendly and quick. All in all it was a great west side field trip!
