only place to eat baffalo wings.. why?

I have to echo the review by Karl S. on July 1st- I've experienced the same thing twice now. I normally get wings to go from this location and this is the third time they got my order wrong. The first time they got my order wrong, I called and ended up getting a free order the next time- but was told that first I would need to talk to a manager and another manager or something..  The second time they got my order wrong, the incorrect wings they gave us were pretty good, so we figured why go to all the trouble from before? This third time, I'd say the staff was at their most boisterous around the hostess stand and cash registers; my order was wrong again.

After my last experience of having to thoroughly substantiate my claim that the order was wrong, I'm just not going to bother with this location. There are plenty of wing joints that can deep fry your wings and throw them in some sauces while glaring at you.. at least they'll get your order right.

Great waiter with great service. The Burger/hot dog/pretzel sandwich was awesome! Smoking hot mango sause on the wings! mmmmm

By far the lowest reviewed restuarant I have ever done. Everythig was horrible. The waiters were all just hanging out using foul language around the host stand making it feel more like a dangerous street corner rather than a family friendly restuarant. That is of course when my waiter wasn't sitting at an unoccupied table text sombody on his cell phone. My waiter was rather inept in that we didn't get any drink refills and he held onto my credit card and I had to interupt some other customers who were ordering so that I could get it back.

But hey maybe you want to know about the food? Maybe you want to know that the Nachos were cold and had very little in the way of anything other than stale tortilla chips? Or that I paid $8 for mediocre boneless wings.

Just not a good experience. The only way I will ever go back is if somebody else is paying.... Nah, I am never going back.

Absolutely love this place. The service and staff are awesome and the food is good. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is that it has a Durham address. #GoHeels

Had my first visit to this location of BWW this weekend.  Although I've been to one of their locations in Virginia and in Colorado, this was a first visit to the chain for my wife. We had their flatbread, beverages & their brat special....everything was very good.  The flatbread could become addictive!  The service was quick and friendly, and the location is great for us.  We'll definitely return!

Lunch, one server assigned to a party of 15 and she was obviously overwhelmed, whether she was new, they were short staffed or the manager chose not to assign another person, anyway you look at it, a poor management decision. Most of the people's orders were in someway incorrect, two had to be resubmitted so came out late, several of us ordered from the lunch menu and were given and charged for dinner portions, which we had no idea until we got the checks. The dinner portions were not even an option on the SEPARATE LUNCH MENU. The server did not want to change the bill so we asked for a manager who came over with an obvious attitude, made a smart comment when we explained what happened, "But you ate all the food?" Which I believe none of us did. I called him a jackass and then he threw me out for "cursing" at him "in his restaurant." That was far from cursing and an extreme reaction regardless. None of us will go back to that location and if you go and there is a bald manager on duty who looks like he's having a bad day, I would find somewhere else to eat. I will not stop going to BBW but I will not visit that location again unless I find out the manager has been dismissed, not because of what happened to our party but to how he has and probably will treat other customers in the future, because I am sure we are not the first and will not be the last. He's obviously in the wrong line of work.

I am not a big fan of buffalo wings at all anywhere.  However, I did enjoy my meal and the service was wonderful.

I love BWW ESPECIALLY when I can get the discount wings. The Asian Zing are probably my favorites, but I'd love to try EVERY flavor if I could get endless wings again! I always go for the Mango Habenero...but forget how spicy it actually is. Either way, ask your waiter/waitress to give you a sample of the flavor and ALWAYS go for the wings.

I'll make this review short and sweet!

    1.  Great location - Very convenient to lots of shopping and the mall
    2.  Typical BW3 feel.
    3.  Service was surprisingly very good compared to some of the other locations I have visited.
    4.  Food was as usual - Corn dogs were a little on the sweet side, the Jap Poppers are some of the best I have had, the sliders are just Ehhh, and the boneless wings can be hit and miss (Some were very wet and some were very dry)

If you need to go watch some sports and grab some bar food then visit BW3.

What's not to love?  Great wings, okay beer selection but more TVs than you could possibly watch.  The only downside in getting a table during game day.  Also - PS the parking sucks.

My friend K and I dined in here quickly before rushing off to a movie. Thankfully the parking situation was much better than last time, but I know that's only because we arrived at 5:00.

The hostess was nice, but hilarious. "Are you eating?" Yes, grabbing a quick bite. "Dining in?" Yes. "Just two?" YES, OMG SEAT US.

We were both pretty excited when we noticed the grilled chicken tenders on the menu. We asked our server, Julie, which would be the best option for a full meal: 4 or 6? The answer is 6. Definitely 6. It's filling, but those tenders are pretty tiny. As in, stick out your pointer finger. That's the size of each one. We both subbed the fries (ew) for salads, which were pretty good. Sadly, my carrots were lacking, while K's was full of their bright orange goodness.

So... 6 grilled chicken tenders and a side salad for $11 is a little steep, but it was good (dipped in medium buffalo sauce and ranch, mmm). The manager came over to ask how our dinner was, which I always like.

I'll definitely be back here more now that I found something on the menu I like!

Dear manager; please change your cleaning operations.  It is gross to have all this sweeping while we are eating. Brooms and dust on a rug makes us lose our appetite.

The mango habanero sauce is the best. We always have good service at this store and my son loves their Mac and cheese.

Hey for a sports bar and you want to eat junk food and have plenty of tv choices this places is quite good.  The tailgater they have is perfect if you can't decide on apps.  The dry rub wings....quite good.  Can't ask for me for a sports bar.

I expected nothing less but it is generic and fried. However If I come here I know that is what I am getting--so I cannot complain.

Another visit to BW3 and still 3 stars. The wings are good, and I like their outdoor seating option. The beer is decent priced also. I think I paid 4.50 for a tall bud light. Plenty of tv's for sports viewing so not complaints there.

Still don't think they allowed for enough parking around the restaurant, and they need to invest in some real plates and not just those paper boats they call plates. I know it's low overhead and maintenance, but come on!

Meh. That's the only way I can describe this place. On a busy night, good luck with parking! Service was just ok. I ordered a pepperoni flatbread which looked AWESMAZING on the menu, but when it came out, the only thing that was the same was the fact that it was flat. My boneless wings were boring and tough. The water I ordered was nice and cold though! And that's all I have to say about that.

I totally love Bdubs, and now that I live 5 minutes from one, I love the extra convenience!

Tonight was a bit disappointing.  We ordered some new sauces, but we got regular wings after ordering boneless wings - so we sent them back and it took a VERY long time to replace them.  I understand that mistakes happen, but we were there early and it was really not that busy, so the wait to correct the mistake was annoying.

Another odd point ... tall blue moon's were $5.50 and instead of ordering a second tall beer, my husband got a pint of blue moon that was $6.  So, the special was on the tall beer -- but in my opinion, they really should tell you that!  Am I wrong here?  At least let you know the difference.

Of course we'll go back...but here's hoping for a smoother experience next time!

I didn't expect anything greater than 2 stars, and that's exactly what they are getting.

The food was overpriced and fast food worthy. The beers were WAY OVERPRICED. $5.50 for a blue moon? No thanks. I'd rather get a case.

Our server was really nice and easy going.  Looked like the service was decent all around. The TV's everywhere were great for someone like me with ADD.

Bottom line: I was being a good wife tonight and took my husband here....I would much rather have spent those 2 million calories elsewhere.

From dates to chilling with friends to catching up with Dad, great place for a sports' girl. Free wi-fi for those midday March Madness games and a great variety of seating arrangements (bar, high tables with chairs and cushions, dining tables, booths, and patio). At least 30 screens though not annoying if you're just there for the wings and no major game is on. The later it gets, the worse the service gets though.

Most Bdubs I've been to have horrible service so I don't know why I would think this new location would be different.  Alas, service is slow but the wings are good, the atmosphere is fun during games, and I just skip the drinks because they are watered down anyway.  If you are in the mood for wings and it's either Tuesday or Thursday (wing days at Bdubs) then go ahead, but if its any other day of the week just get the wings to-go and save yourself.

This place is rock-star status....for game watching. The place is littered with TV's and has excellent visability no matter what seat you plop down in.

The food is....disappointing. I ordered what I thought would be a slam-dunk hamburger, described as 2 patties with shaved beef and onion rings in the middle- sounds delicious, right? It was truly pathetic with the patties being similar to McDonald's size (thin, measly), and the 'shaved meat' being chunks of nameless beef, all shoved between two factory buns. Bleh. The fries were cold and the coleslaw was straight out of a bag with thin dressing.

So...yes, this place is convenient, yes I would go back to watch a game...but there are truly better sportsbars in Durham (Tobacco Road- my fav) that I'll keep as my "go-to" joints.

I'm updating my review because of the bartender "Jazz," who offered to correct the wrongs of my last visit with a free app. I didn't take her up on the offer, telling her that I'd drink there, but will never eat there again, because once I'm done eating at your establishment, I'm done - but I did appreciate her trying to fix and wanted to acknowledge the excellent service she provided that night.

It is about time we got a decent sports bar in Durham.  I love the food and the atmosphere.  It isn't somewhere you want to go to celebrate a special occasion but rather a place to relax, get some wings, watch a game and drink a beer.  The service has been good and mediocre the times that I have been there.  I am sure they are still working out the kinks as they just opened up.

They mess up orders a lot.  If you pick up take out - MAKE SURE you check EVERYTHING before leaving the parking lot.   Don't be fooled by them reading your order back to you perfectly when you get there.  CHECK THE BAG!   They have forgotten entire items in our order before, they have given us normal wings instead of boneless (even though boneless on the receipt and everything, etc....  Such a huge pain to drive back.

Their parking lot is about half the size it should be.   The place it always totally packed, and there is never any parking.

That said -- they do have good food.

Bdubs in general has some pretty poor reviews on Yelp...although not too sure why.  I can't get enough of the wing sauces here.  They are just freaking amazing - and I've found NO other place that comes close to them, honestly.

I've been to this location once, but I'm impressed by it.  The service was great (and during march madness none-the-less).  The wings came out in a decent amount of time, were hot, and smothered in sauce.  The order was correct the first time it came out - and we had refills coming our way non stop.  Props to the waitress.

    I'll be back!

We ordered take out  a few weeks ago, and they messed up our order. Last night, I again went to get some take out, and again, when I came home, we found the sauces were missing. I understand this is a new restaurant, with some growing pains, but by now they should have their act together.

I don't think we will be back. The atmosphere inside is also terrible, very loud music, and with all the TV screens you could easily develop vertigo.

    Friendly staff, though.

    Pros:
Food was amazing: I had the spicy garlic; my friends ordered sweet barbecue, and another one that was seasoned instead of sauced.
Staff is friendly and knowledgable. It's a madhouse in there but the staff does a great job of making you feel welcome and giving you a good idea what the menu is all about.
Tons of HDTVs everywhere so you can watch just about any sporting event you want

    Cons:
Very pricey for wings (especially when places like Wingstop et al are nearby)
Pretty long wait (Saturday night at 9pm)
Forgot to bring us part of our order (cheese fries; still charged us for them even though they didn't bring out the fries until 10 minutes after we were done with our wings)
Drinks were pretty expensive and nothing special in terms of beer selection

You should know what to expect at BW3.

Yes, the parking at this location is a disaster if the place is jammed. But the array of TVs is really good. The wing sauces are plentiful. We recently had spicy garlic, Caribbean jerk, medium, and the special jalapeno flavor. All were good.

Not the best wings ever, but pretty consistent. Our server was very friendly and did a pretty good job keeping up with us even though it was packed.

Alright. Been back since my first initial attempts to give this place a try, but again disappointed so I'm going to find another place to get my wings and beer fix.

Service has improved. That's about it.

Our order was right, but the wings were really small and honestly kind of slimy. Even our dry rub wings had a kind of slimy texture to them. I could not believe they have no lemon pepper wings. I could have sworn I've eaten them at other BWWs, but oh well.

The honey bbq wings were slathered with sauce and lacked the flavor I was hoping for. The Caribbean jerk chicken wings were the best, but again just average. Their buffalo wings were lacking that buffalo flavor I wanted and I think I could find better tasting wings if I bought them frozen from the grocery store. Their cheese fries were good, but some fries were dominated with garlic and a little over powering. The beer was honestly the best part of my whole meal.

If for some reason I come back again, it won't be for the food. I'll stick to beer.

Gave it another try with a take out order.  Was inundated with the blaring volume of the sound system again.  It is Soooo annyoying!!

I will say that the staff is friendly and my order was ready when I arrived.

The thing is the wings are really small and still weren't very good.  Got the sweet BBQ and the Garlic Parm.  I really, really want it to be better, but if this is the kind of consistency they have I really doubt that we'll return again.  I know other places that I give 4-5 stars so that's where I'll be spending my dollars.

    * Gag!
Who eats these wings?  Seriously.  They are probably the worst I've ever had.  I'm guessing they fry at 350° or possibly 325°.  There's no way they're frying at 375° for 15 minutes.  If so, they have the fattiest, worst quality wings I've ever had.  The texture was horrible; the skin was like rubber and the fat layer was congealed jelly.
Parmesan Garlic: butter, cheap parm, garlic powder.
    Spicy Garlic: not spicy, forgettable.
    Thai Curry: sigh...
Mango Habenero: not hot like a habenero should be, sweetened with corn syrup, gross.

Service was friendly.  Beer selection was decent for a chain.  That's all I can say.  This is one place I will not give a 2nd chance.  There's no reason to eat here, ever.

This place is new but its your typical BWW. We went on a Sunday so it was packed but our wait was only about 5 minutes. The waitress was helpful and the food came out very fast. I like all flaps and that didn't change the speed of service. Our order was correct, hot, and tasty.

A new BWW just opened close to my house and I've been a fan in the past so I gave it a try. The first thing you notice right away is that parking is a real problem. Not enough spots and the size of the spaces are way too small. The place is nice outdoor seating and tv's, Flatscreens and projection tv's every where. The whole place is way too loud, suggestion turn down the music. Also, What is going on in here, why are there two armed Durham County sheriffs guarding the kitchen?

Food is average to poor. I had a chicken wing drumstick that was half the size of my pinki If I had a better camera on my phone I would post photos.Celery is just plain week, limp and nasty.

Service - I will wait a few months to review because everyone is new and they are trying. I do have a problem with the hostess who wrote down the wrong # on our pager and forgot about us and did not really seem to care. I will try this place again but it will be hard to convince my wife to go.

After getting over the disappointment that they dozed a perfectly good Johnny Carino's for BWW and an outparcel building (retail maybe?)  I thought I'd give BWW a try.  Took awhile to find a parking space at 2pm on a Sunday, a definite sign of things to come...the wait!  I've heard of a ridiculous 70 minute wait during peak times and when we left around 3pm on a Sunday there was already a wait.  The place is big, but there isn't a lot of parking.  Atmosphere is lively, and when I say lively I mean loud.  Loud, thumping music blaring, combined with the collective conversations of everyone make this the wrong place to go to have a chat.  Sit back and enjoy a nearly 360 deg. view of TVs playing whatever sporting event they can show.  The selection of TVs could be a downfall during big game days - not sure which game's audio they'll actually play...if any.

Food was just okay.  The wings are small, but they have a great variety of sauces and seasonings (dry rubbed wings).  However, I didn't expect it to be so pricey (for a sports bar).  6 Wings are around $5, not bad except that a basket of bland fries is $3.50, and if you want to wash that down with a drink that'll be $2.29.  Thankfully they don't get you with up sells of sauce, ranch and blue cheese come with wings, but if you want to get a decent sized meal it's going to run you at least $12-15.  Maybe check them out when they have their wings specials on Thursday, but good luck getting a table.

Love wings, but had never ventured to Buffalo Wild Wings, so went last night with my family which included 2 small children, 2 adults and 2 seniors.  It was also Valentine's Day, which probably wasn't the best time to go.  So we had a 20 minute wait to be seated, then, after our order was taken it took over 30 minutes for our food to be delivered.  The place was very loud (a sports bar, after all) but liked the tvs and sports shows.  Since we had small children we had our order boxed up so the kids could get to bed on time.  The wings, when we finally ate them, were delicious.  I love the variety of sauces and rubs available.  Fries were good, crisp and warm.  Beer selection could be better.  Overall, a so-so experience, but I'll give it another try.

Went Friday night to play some Buzztime Trivia and eat and have a few drinks. There used to be a Wild Wings in Chapel Hill, so I was really looking forward to a buffalito like the old days.

Food was OK, and perhaps better than the one that used to be in Chapel Hill. Drinks were OK as well.

It was really crowded and the music volume was very loud. I couldn't hear the servers or my friends.

We'll give it another try after all the fuss has died down and see how it is.

Love the wings! Great place to watch a game and hang out with your peeps. I wish they had more of a beer selection with more microbrews.
