    Good for late night grub.
The menu is a bit overpriced but not terrible.
I love the egg soup thing!

-2 I went here previously with my friend. We sat down and I asked for a mojito and the server replied back verifying the order. Later he gives me a margarita. When we went to the bartender and said they gave us the wrong drink, she asked the server, in which he changed his answer to 'margarita' Bartender questioned us, can't believe it. I know what I ordered and the server had the audacity to change his answer to cover his own ass.

But aside from that I've been here 2-3 other times and it was fine, just ordered rails and yogurt soju since I wasn't going to try that again.

I do like coming here cause I have this weird fascination of watching other people do shots upon shots upon shots.

I've started coming here a lot. I usually don't go to bars that are all asians. because there no good deals or good HH specials. BUT that said, We got a good deal on Jameson. The foods not bad, the fried rice with omellete is good. the pork neck soup is very spicy. Most of the soups are pretty spicy. the soju is standard price, some drinks are a bit overpriced. Awesome bartenders here.
When you sit at the tables its a little different, the servers come take care of you, sometimes they are a bit busy.

    THE KITCHEN CLOSES LATE!!!!!

We called in advance and were told the kitchen closed at 1:30am and that it would be fine for us to order if we got to the restaurant by that time. We told them we had a group of 12 on the way. We got there at 1:20am and they apologized saying the kitchen was closed and they made a mistake. Thanks a lot.

I never venture into Maryland so I don't know too much of what is on the other side. I have recently made friends in Maryland now so there are reasons to go over that bridge. One of my friends took me to 20/20 because it was late and he usually hangs out there a few times a month. This place is open late and serves Korean dishes. What I like about this place is that it is very relaxed. There is no rush and the both times I have been here it wasn't super crowded. My friend did inform me that it gets packed during the weekends but I have not yet experienced that. The first night I was there I got some yummy strawberry soju and my friend and I ordered the spicy rice cakes and spicy sausage. Both of them were not bad. The only thing is that the rice cakes were really big, which I'm not use to at all. The portions were pretty nice and the waiter was super honest about what he liked on the menu and what he personally thought wasn't the best choices. The second time I came, I was with a group and service was still good and this time we tried the spicy chicken and it was really good. Over all this place is a cool place but it's not over the top wonderful and somewhere I would really rave about. It's great for a late night snack and some strawberry soju.

Cafe 20/20 is a friendly and nice bar & restaurants. Owner Liz is super nice and friendly. Check her fb, there are daily discounts updating everyday.(<a href="mailto:cafetwentytwenty.liz@yahoo.com">cafetwentytwenty.liz@yah…</a>)
If you like Korean music, Korean people, this is the place. Alcohols, foods are cheap, people are friendly. Ask waiters & Liz for food recommandations!

This place is a prime example of why Korean people have a bad rep. I'm Korean and I went with my three non-Korean friends for dinner on a Friday night. The place was pretty empty. I took my friends here because of a recommendation from my colleague who said the food was pretty good. That was true, the food was good and the portions were good. They got one star for that. I gave them a second star just because the place wasn't filthy with roaches running around. I figure that deserves a star (call me Generous). Now let's get down to the fun part.

    1) I have NEVER been to a Korean place that makes you pay for the rice. There was four of us and 2 of the rice was free but if we each wanted a bowl of rice, we'd have to pay extra. I'm betting if we asked for our ban chan to be replenished, they would've charged us extra.

    2) They never came by after they dropped off our food. They would only come if we flagged them down while they were busy doing nothing or flat ironing their hair. The only table getting any attention from their all-male waitstaff was a table of 4 Asian girls, where the Asian Jared Leto wanna-be kept bouncing over to them to make them giggle and clap a lot.

    3) Turns out Friday night is Ladies Night, which means 50% off drinks. Included are margaritas. My friend decided to get the margarita which arrived in a small glass usually used to serve whiskey/scotch on the rocks. But whatever, if it's half off, not a big deal. WRONG. Apparently, at Cafe2020, a rail margarita 50% off is $7.50, meaning a full-priced rail margarita costs $15.00.

    4) They also INCLUDED GRATUITY on our bill when, as I mentioned before, there were FOUR of us. The gratuity they included was well over 15% and there was no mention of this, whatsoever. Which makes me assume they thought we wouldn't look at the bill and would double tip.

You can tell the atmosphere of Cafe2020 as soon as you walk in. We knew what we were getting ourselves into but we really enjoy Korean food a lot. Also, we didn't think we'd get this royally fucked over. I was with some really nice people and they didn't realize they were being ripped off but I felt really bad for bringing them here. It's too bad because we would've been coming here every week if it wasn't for the general assholery and sneakiness. Way to exemplify the stereotype, guys!

I absolutely love this place. My friends and I frequently come to this place that it has literally become the spot we hangout or a place that we start the night with. The owner Liz is super nice and treats customers with good services and respect. It has great food and the prices for drinks aren't that expensive. We usually like to chill at the bar, but once in awhile if we have a lot of people, we would get a table. The servers are all laid back and have become friends with us over the past year. I would come back here again and again and again!

This is one of my go-to spots whenever I want to have a casual night out with friends.  I'm in love!

Around the DMV, if you're trying to go to a bar/lounge/club, parking is usually a nightmare, but you can invite 50 people here and there'll still be enough parking so it's a great place to hold a gettogether.

I love the environment here: the waitresses/waiters/bartender/owner are all really nice and friendly.  I usually chill around the bar, and I've come to conclude that they know how to make their drinks!  The drinks are always made really tasty, and the food is really good here as well. Try the soondubu or the spicy bulgogi (as Raj mentioned). YUM.

Oh, and by the way, on Fridays, ladies' cocktails and shooters are 50% off, woohooo!

Just got off work, tired, and looking for a chill place to kick back with friends and have a few drinks? BAM! You found it! This is literally the place my friends and I always go to on Fridays 90% of the time. After work, go home, shower, call everyone up, and meet at Cafe 2020. The owner Liz is awesome. She's generally a very nice person and she treats her regulars with respect. The rest of the bartenders and waiters know us very well too. They're very easy to get along with. I love this place.

The only thing I would like different from Cafe 2020 is that they should put Ja Jang Myun as a dish. I love me some Ja Jang Myun....

Like everyone else keeps saying: It's a Korean Bar/Lounge. So, yes, you will see A LOT of Koreans....and they will all look at you when you enter. So don't be intimidated; just work it!

I love their Yogurt Soju! Yeah, it's girly, but it's still Soju! I ususally don't order the food, but my friends end up doing so and they all seem to like it. So that's what I'll go by. I did get to try their fries and those were pretty tasty and crunchy! I wish, though, that they would bring back the complimentary popcorn.

They always have loud K-Pop blaring from the speakers, but what irks me is that the song on the speakers is a completely different song from the music video on the TV in the back. Also, the random other TVs around usually have news, which can be depressing sometimes.

If you go to the bar, be prepared to be incredibly social. The bartenders are always really friendly and fun to have convos with. Even the stranger sitting next to you will also start talking to you. Everyone here just wants to have a good, relaxing time.

But be warned, lots of "drama" goes down here. So try to avoid those. Overall, it's an okay place to really relax with some friends if you don't feel like going out to DC.

    This Korean "lounge"

is a great place to bring friends after a long hard day of work and sit back and have a couple of drinks and grab some food.  Honestly a little pricey, BUT that depends on what you order.  The food is good, and the quality shows as well as the price ;) The spicy bulgoghi is really good buuutttttt a little expensive.  (I pay for it BECAUSE it is good, and like I mentioned earlier its the quality of the food that makes it worth it)

The drinks are always good and the atmosphere is even better. I have never been to Korea (yet) but the majority of my Korean friends who I go with say this is what a typical bar/lounge is like in Seoul.

The service is actually really good, compared to other Korean restaurants that I have been to in the DMV.  Usually the language barrier is a bit of a problem, but a smile is internationally understood and the server comes immediately to take your next request.

I gave this place 4 stars because of the price. (NOT COMPLAINING at all as I have a wonderful time every time I go, it just adds up the more you get) (thats to be said with wherever you go, but I always feel that it leaves a little dent in my pockets)
FUN and GOOD TIMES were ALWAYS had though :D

I love this place. It's our group's hangout spot. Therefore, this review will be a little biased. The drinks are normal bar price and but the food is surprisingly pretty good. There is usually load Korean or top 40s music playing and sports playing on the TV. The crowd is usually young / young adults. Mostly Koreans. There isn't much lighting so you know how those places are. Go here on a Friday or Saturday night if you like your bars crowded. Enjoy.

It's a Korean bar. The first I've ever been to. We came after dinner with a group of people for a friend's birthday. The shots and drinks are good. The atmosphere is good.

Think I'd visit again if I was in the area.

My friends and I frequent this place all the time -- it's almost become some sort of unspoken tradition for us. It's a great place to just sit back, relax with good friends, eat, and drink. The food is delicious, but can be a little bit pricey depending on what you get. The alcohol prices are reasonable.

Service is pretty good, unlike those other Korean owned places you can go where service is iffy. They're all really nice and willing to inconveniently split the checks however many times you want (lol).

It's also great since this place is in Rockville, conveniently located and never obnoxiously packed like bars in D.C. and Bethesda. It's definitely a great place to start off the night or just kick it with friends.

I highly recommend this place if you and your friends just need a location to chill.

A Korean restaurant/ lounge at night. Chill place if you wanna eat and drink. Can sit at the bar or table. The bench seats at the table are pretty low so the food is close to your face, you'll feel short sitting there and your friends sitting on normal chairs. They play popular korean and american music with korean pop videos on tv.

Food: Fried rice was pretty good. Just like any other fried rice, but a bit sweeter, kind of a tomato taste to it. Had the ox tail stew, that was pretty good, kinda spicy. Noodles were good. Chicken gizzard were also good. They're tougher so don't get it if you don't wanna chew. A bit bland so dip it in the sauce. Tofu soup was ok, the tofu was in tiny pieces and broken up rather than the more firm tofu that I'm used to. Majority of food isn't spicy. Everything is pretty good, food takes a while for it to get out.

Service is pretty good, pretty empty when I go (early dinner time). Gets more crowded at night when people come in to drink.

Some people dress up to impress people by the bar, others don't care and are just there to have a good time and eat with friends. Gets noisier as more people come in at night.

I'm a regular here, not because they have great food, or the service blows the competition away.   It's just one of those chill places that a lot of the locals come to - you walk in, can sit at the bar and have a few beers.  There are those who just come by themselves, but I see them having a good time chattin' it up with the bartenders, or the owner herself.

It's usually packed on Friday and Saturday night (starting around 11pm).   It is more of  "drink hole," rather than a restaurant, I wouldn't dismiss the fact that they actually have some good Korean dishes.  I would have to say all of their 20/20 dishes are pretty good, so I don't think you could go wrong with any of the choices.  Some of the locals' favorites are the pork neck soup / gamja tang / , the fried rice with egg on top/ omurice /  , and the spicy conch with noodles/ golbengee with noodles / .

The place is kind of hidden (look for the round Kosher Mart sign) and you can't really tell by the exterior.  Some have thought it was a closed down business because it looked dark from the outside, but it's just their dark interior and dim lighting.  Just like the other Yelpers mentioned, they have plenty of parking space.  They are closed on Mondays though.  They have happy hour specials too, so ask your waiter/waitress.

christ this place has been around forever.  When i was a wee child it was nul bum, then it was options when i was in college, now as an ahjushee it's 20/20.  The clientele is still the same too.  Young and Korean, skewing towards the fobby.

Someone else said it best, this is not a place you're going to eat, this is where you go to drink.  It handles that part pretty well, although i would prefer if they had some beer on tap.  But, you can get soju and some of the food is pretty decent.  I had a dhuk bhuk kee type dish w/ noodles and monstrous pieces of dhuk in a sweet and spicy sauce that was decent.  Also the old standby from the option days, squid and vegetables in the same spicy sweet sauce (ohjingho bokum). Fair warning, being a drinking place it gets pretty damn gross the later the night gets.  As in floor being constantly mopped and all kinds of unspeakable horror going on in the bathroom.  The waitresses and bartenders are all attractive and young, making me feel a bit like a dirty old man for even mentioning it.

Just as an aside Koreans really need to standardize the romanization of their writing like the Japanese do... just saying.

I'm not korean but I always seem to enjoy myself here.  Thats cause it's ALWAYS more fun to be eating and drinking than to do either alone. It's a hot spot since there really aren't enough bar/cafe hybrids around. On top of that, this place is chill...wear jeans and a tee or wear a dress and knee high boots. Whatever.

I also don't mind that it's korean cause I prefer to pair my carbombs with kimchi jigae and seafood pancake over chili cheese fries anyway.  That being said, I always go with koreans so that might make things a bit more comfortable.  So korean aside, it's got a decent menu of late night food, including your usual appetizers like onion rings, fries, etc. Prices are really fair. Bar is fully stocked plus some extra goodies like yogurt soju.  Match that with a round of carbombs and you can't go wrong.

This lounge reminds you of a typical Korean lounge that you find in Annandale minus the large crowds.  The decor is quite nice (not spectacular) and you wouldnt' quite expect a place in this part of Rockville.  I have gone to this place at least 3X now and I have never seen many groups here.  Of course, I never go here on Fri and Sat nights b/c I'm always in DC and that may explain some things.

The menu here is typical "Korean pub grub".  My top recommendation is the Korean style fried chicken.  It seasoned with a bit of flavoring (a bit peppery is how I would describe it) and it's a style that you probably won't find anywhere else. (warning: MSG heavy)

The do have drink specials (5 beers for $20 and food specials).  And if you order a decent amount, they start giving one or two food dishes for free as a "service" (typical of many drinking places at Korean establishments).  Last night we drank several bottles of soju, 10ish beers, and ordered two dishes of food and we got a fruit platter for free.  Props to them :)

Because I never saw large gatherings here..I can only go based on what I heard and it's that the crowds that come here are like the Annandale crowd (the super-"Koreanized" crowd).

This place is worth checking out at some point, but I would probably go with a Korean speaker as your experience will be much better than if you didn't go with one (at least for ordering the proper dishes).

It's hard to find a chill asian lounge around here, and 20/20 is open late, ridiculously ample parking, offers american appetizers (onion rings, fries, popcorn shrimp), yummy korean dishes, awesome flavored soju cocktail (comes in a big pitcher with shots to share), comfy seating, and cozy atmosphere (dark, mostly empty). They also have a full bar, and karaoke. Service is friendly and polite.

On the downside, my experiences there have varied from blah to great due to factors like the menu and cost. Don't expect them to have everything on the menu, but you can always depend on the appetizers and alcohol. Portion size here is average, one order will probably feed two people tops.

Business is often slow for them, but this place has good potential being one of the few of its kind around moco. They should really step up on their menu, decrease the prices, and do something about the weird table-chair balance (most tables come with chairs and these cushiony-sofa-type chairs..problem is, sofa is comfy but kinda low, and chairs are less comfy but right size with the table. Had to mention this cuz it always bothers the heck out of me.

Friday and sat nights they turn on disco type lights and blast up the music clubbing-style.

anyways it's nice for a quiet night out with a few close friends, and especially if you don't want to go outside of MoCo for nightlife

Most Koreans do not go here to eat.
If you are Korean and go here to eat it is either out of desperation or you do not know the area well enough.

This is where many MoCo Koreans go to drink.

Eating should be the furthest thing from your mind when you come here.

The service, as in the attractive male and female servers and bar tenders, here is pretty good, especially if you are well known.
The drink prices are comparable to every other bar around.
Good place to get drinks, bad place to enjoy a dinner.

I personally like this place a lot.  The food is very good overall.  They have the best Nakji SoMyun I've ever tasted.  And their Gam Ja Tang is great too. They also have a Spicy Chicken BBQ dish that is also very good.  There was only one dish I was really disappointed with and that was the Jjol Myul.  A good choice for late night Korean food since their kitchen closes when they do.

They have a full bar. Prices for drinks are average.  They recently lower their price for Soju to $9.99 due to competition.  They have a wide variety of flavor Soju cocktails if you're into that thing. They also have many specials such as happy hours, lady's nights, and, etc.

Service is great and the staff is friendly.  Weather you choose to get a table or sit at the bar.  I frequently speak with the owner and he is very friendly.  Feel free to strike up a conversation.

Some people complain of the ambiance, but I personally love it.  Yes the Karaoke can get annoying at time with drunken tone deaf performers, but most of the time it is quite entertaining.  Plus, their policy is to give more music time vs Karaoke.  I'd say 15 minutes of Karaoke and then 30 minutes of music.  The table are quite comfy with sofa-esque seats and everything is clean and new looking.

You will not find any non-Koreans at this restaurant. Most of the time, this is supposed to be an indicator of the authenticity of the food, but not necessarily in this case. This restaurant (in its current and previous forms - Nulbom, Options) is like a Korean Bennigans. Bennigans was the coolest place to go in high school, though anyone who has developed a taste in food at all since then wouldn't be caught dead there.

So how's the food? It's okay. A friend of mine swears by their soon dubu, though I've had better (Go to Vit Goel or Arirang just down the street). They have most traditional Korean dishes - stews, rice dishes, etc. - but there really isn't anything special about the food. They've got a full bar, though, which is what does draw people here, I believe.

The atmosphere leaves much to be desired. I do like the many different spaces in this restaurant, though the Korean music videos that blast from the TVs, residual noise from the karaoke rooms in the back, and random pieces of "art" that are scattered throughout fill diners with a sense of uncertainty and discomfort.

The past five times I've been here with other English-speaking Koreans, we've been denied access into the main dining room and shoved into the no-man's-land of this restaurant where service is inevitably bad. I've wasted too much time trying to flag down our server for extra chopsticks, water refills, the check, some love.

It's not a horrible place, but there are slightly better options elsewhere. A lot of times, my friends and I came to 20/20 because it was the only Korean place open late at night. But now we have Yet Gol (<a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz/yet-gol-silver-spring">http://www.yelp.com/biz/…</a>).
