We went a couple weeks ago. The staff are very friendly. The owner is awesome, but the service is slow.
My mom in laws crab cakes were a little bigger than  walnuts.
! I've never seen such small crab cakes. I had a po-boy that if i was looking closely had maybe 6 average size shrimp, again, never saw such a meager po-boy. Â My husband had the bar-bq shrimp and his shrimp were very average. . Not just us but friends and family have been there and said they would not go back because of the measly amount of food for the prices (NOT AVERAGE PRICES).
I went here to do some reading around 5 yesterday. Â But when I tried to open the door, it wouldn't. Â I was confused and tried again. Â Todd, the owner, came to the door and said, "we're closed, but don't I know you?" Â And I said, "yeah, I've been here before. Â I just wanted to stop in for a drink while I read some stuff." Â He replied, "well, sure, come in, but you're the only customer and you'll have to not mind us cleaning up. Â I'm just glad you're not trying to sell me something." Â Then I saw that the sign on the door with the opening hours said that they are only open for lunch on Mondays and Tuesdays.
So I had two extra-delicious glasses of Chardonnay (it's been unreasonably hot lately) and a lot of laughs with the owner, the new chef, and a guy who works there but I don't know what he does exactly. Â While I pretended to work on some research. Â The chef told me that she and the owner are always there when it's open, and that's why they need to close on Mondays and Tuesdays for dinner, so they can have lives.
I love this place; it's a great neighbor.
