Luncheonmeat Louie's

Luncheonmeat Louie's is a typical West Bank dive.

Located within incorporated Gretna, Luncheonmeat Louie's is one of the more interestingly named bars that I have visited. While the name is very interesting, the bar is not.

The first time I tried visiting this bar it was closed. On my second visit it may as well have been closed as there was only one other customer in the bar.

The bar is very small. It appears that it caters to only its regular clientele and I did not feel welcome. I guess repeatedly asking "where's Louie?" or "why is he nicknamed Luncheonmeat?" were wearing thin, but inquiring minds wanted to know. After one drink I decided I had seen enough.

I am glad I checked it out, but I will probably stick to other fine WB establishments in the future.
