I am a huge fan of dive bars with one condition. I do not like bars where my potential of being murdered is higher than normal. Any bar where a security guard has to frisk you before entering makes me very leery. This is one such bar.

On my first attempt to visit, I decided not to go in once I learned I needed to be frisked. While not concered because I had something illegal, red flags went up that this was a dangerous place.

On my second try the frisker must have been off for the night and I walked right in. The place was completely deserted except for the bartender. The bar seems like it caters to the hispanic community and I felt very out of place. I don't speak Spanish and she didn't speak English.

I am glad I went so I don't wonder if there is a WB gem I am missing out on, but I won't be back.
