I have tried this place both for dinner as well as for lunch. The dinner was on one of the first Fridays of a month and the restaurant was even livelier than the Downtown Bryan area.  A live mariachi band was playing and even the people waiting in a queue for about twenty minutes had a smile on their face. The food was delicious and  fresh. On the other occasion it was for lunch on a regular weekend. The Carne Guisada is an absolute treat there. I however did not like their carnitas. The chicken breast in queso is lovely. This place is definitely way better and tastier than the other pseudo Mexican places in College Station/Bryan area.
Review Source:My husband went there yesterday, 3/3/2013 for the first time. Â It will be our last. Â I ordered the Ricardo's Ranchero, ribeye beef tips sauted with onion, tomato, jalepeno. It came with rice & beans. Â The meat was the size of my pinky fingernail, naturally overcooked, no flavor whatsoever. Probably wasn't even ribeye. The rice & beans were dry, and with no flavor. Â My husband had shredded beef, and gravy. Â It was pot roast with no flavor. Â I can't believe they call this place Mexican because it had no mexican flavors!! Â Nothing had cheese on it! Â I ordered sopapillas to go. Â The oil must have been old. Â They came out dark looking with a slight old oil flavor ..
