Celebration Town Tavern

While the staff  and the Celebration Ale were great, the food was just OK. Started off with the boneless hot wings and they were just average, tasted like they came out of a bag, fried and covered in a generic sauce. Next I got the Fried Combo Platter Whole belly Ipswich Clams, Scallops, and Shrimp (Didn't want Scrod) again not what I was hoping for. The scallops which are usually my favorite had almost no flavor and the shrimp was on the over cook side.

The biggest disappointment came from my fiance, she got the Filet and Tail. Which she said the lobster was OK, the filet was horrible. The meat was tough and flavorless, a real let down.

Overall the environment was great, but the food didn't live up to the establishment.

My wife and I had lunch and it was very good. The chowder is great. Came back later to the bar to watch the stanley cup and drink some cold beers. Had a great time...

The fried seafood and chowder are done right. The fried belly clams were delicious.  Definitely will return for more.
