Stopped in early Saturday evening for a quick meal. Drunken Chicken sandwich, marinated in Irish whiskey, was moist and tender, with a large side of hand-cut fries. Great jukebox and the live music folks were just setting up. Nice folks run the place. Looks like a good sized covered deck outdoors. Couple of dart games. Menu is typical pub food with an Irish twist and the prices are reasonable. I would guess most of the action here is at night.

The Celtic Knot Pub & Eatery is a local neighborhood bar serving lunch and dinner and drinks. Located in the former Stafford's Restaurant and Lounge, the place has a cozy dining room in the front, a pub/lounge area in the back room, and a outside covered patio dining area attached to the rear of the building. The bar area has seating at the bar, high top tables, flatscreen TVs, digital jukebox, and Quick Draw.

The menu offerings include the standard pub fare including burgers, sandwiches, reubens, salads, wings, and several fried appetizers (Irish nachos, Irish egg rolls, fried pickles, Claddagh rings, potato skins, fresh cut fries). Corned Beef dinners are served on Wednesdays. Most items on the menu are $10 or less. Drink/beer specials are offered at the bar.

I stopped in here for lunch recently. I entered through the empty dining room and into the bar area where the action was. The stools around the bar were all occupied, so I took a seat at a high top table. The bartender took my order promptly. For lunch, I ordered the Drunken Chicken Sandwich ($8 plus) with fries. Also, I used the Free Wi-Fi (password req) to check status updates while waiting for my food, which arrived in about 10 minutes after ordering.

The fresh cut fries tasted pretty good, which were deep fried light brown with a soft texture and lightly salted. The Drunken Chicken Sandwich was a good sized, which had a tender boneless chicken breast in an Irish whiskey marinade, crunchy iceberg lettuce, tomato slice, raw onions on a soft Kaiser roll. I only could finish half of my lunch and had the rest boxed to go.

Overall, the food was pretty good and the service was very prompt. I would come back again here for dinner and drinks!
