Beware going here if you are female. There is a regular that goes there that hates women. Last time  I went there I was verbally assaulted by a very drunk big black gay guy who didn't like a comment that I made and proceeded to get into my face screaming obscenities. I left the building to get away from him cause I was scared for my safety. I was confused as I really didn't say anything so terrible to warrant this disproportionate abusive response, especially from a stranger I had never met. Yet he followed me out into the parking lot to continue to verbally abuse me screaming the foulest words I have ever heard. I am pretty sure he would have beat me up if it hadn't been for the gentleman I was with that pushed him back into the building. This gay black guy in a regular there and he is a threat to women there as he is obviously a women hater with deep seeded mommy issues. He is 6 ft, 250 heavy set black male, trying to beat up a 5'5, 150 lb female. This place attracts the undesirables. For your safety, stay away if you are female.
Review Source:This place is a dump! I'm surprised it hasn't been closed or cited for sanitation issues. The interior is dirty and gross. Tabletops look like they haven't been wiped down in ages.
My husband wanted to eat here because he liked the fact that Champs has lots of wide-screen TVs - plenty for sports-watching. I stayed because I had no other choice. My husband ordered their ribs special; they were tender but lacking in flavor. I got a cheeseburger thinking they couldn't screw that up. But I was wrong. It either came from the dollar store or a Sysco truck. Either way it was not worth the trouble.
The only thing this place has going for it is the fact that it is next to a Panera.
Although I am a frequent visitor to this quaint bar, I do not recommend the food here.
The bar is small and intimate, the bartenders are very friendly and accommodating. My husband and I usually receive a regular discount on rail drinks, which is a nice bonus and keeps us coming back :)
The bar, drinks, and staff themselves are wonderful, but I don't think the food here is handled/prepared well. I have gotten multiple things from the menu and had violent food poisoning almost every time I have eaten anything from this place.
I would recommend this bar to anyone who is just out for a drink with friends and to watch a good sports game (although it is insanely crowded during football season). But I would stay away from the food :-P
This must be a Sports Fan's dream come true!
A lot fo sports memorabilia plastered all over the wall. Â Take your pick as which one you'd cheer for. Â I can only imagine how crazy it can get here on gameday. Â
Thankfully there wasn't one playing the night I came in. Â Mainly a sandwich and burger place. Â Of course, they'd have appetizers. Â But definately 4 stars for me becuae there was this awesome bartender behind the counter. Â I forgot his name...but he had introduced me to this bangin' SEX ON THE BEACH drink. Â Never had one like that before, and he was more than happy to let me know what was in it, for the alky in me...
