Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our recent visit to Cheapside. Easy walk from the Hilton. Relaxed environment.
The music on Saturday night (4/20) was really good. Â The food was decent even though they were really "slammed" the service was a little slow but held up. The team held it together and it looked like a successful night.
We enjoyed the vibe so much that we came back twice, once for drinks and once for a night cap both times on the patio. Ciara and Maggie were our servers and both really shined with their interaction with customers, just the right attitude.
Considering we were only in town for 4 nights on business (stretched to allow for some fun) 3 visits is really good.
You're on our list to repeat when next in town.
Thanks
This place is a great spot to go with a group. The menu has something for everyone (burgers, quesadillas, salads, fish, etc) and the outdoor patio has a fun vibe. The servers are friendly and happily split checks. I had a chicken burrito which was good, but nothing to rave about. The portions are big, which is always a plus in my book.
Review Source:The food here is pretty good. We like to come here on a Sunday to get our drink on. The mimosas are made with fresh o.j. and the food portions are huge so consider sharing with a friend or be prepared to taking half of it home with you. I would consider adding another star to this review but choose not to for the sake of their name "Cheapside". Yes, they are obviously located on Cheapside Street but geez, put a little more thought into a new name. The history of Cheapside Street is pretty ugly and should also be renamed as well. Lexington should be ashamed of keeping such an ignorant part of history alive by honoring a street by that awful name. Do your research people! Have some respect and make a change for the better.
