I have currently been to Cheero's twice. I have mostly enjoyed everything my husband and I have gotten. I love the mix of sushi and bar food. The sushi is fresh and tasty with a few specialty rolls that I haven't seen anywhere else. Sure, it's not the best sushi in town, but it's a sports bar. It is better than expected. The appetizers are good and I thoroughly love the randomness of the menu.
The service was decent and the manager did come and check on us, so hopefully they are improving the service based on others reviews.
I must say the Nachos were great. They do have a mix of real cheese and fake processed cheese food, but I personally really love that wonderful cheese flavored 'lard'. But they also had all sorts of fresh veggies and taco meat on them. Tasty.
The food itself was pretty good, but the service was so bad that we'll never go back. Â There were only about 3 tables of customers when we arrived (which was a tipoff in itself), yet it still took the waitress 5-10 minutes to say hello and take drink orders. Â Once we ordered food, it took forever to arrive, and when it did, we had no utensils to eat it and had to hunt down the waitress to ask. Â Also, my meal was completely incorrect, and it had to be sent back and prepared all over again. Â By the time I finally got my food, my husband was completely done with his meal. Â Then the bill came...I had a groupon, which they had taken off, but the bill was wrong prior to that, charging for the wrong and more expensive meal I hadn't ordered. Â I mentioned this, so she fixed but then didn't take the groupon off. Â I complained again, when they finally fixed it. Â Â We were there nearly two hours which was just ridiculous. Â This said, the sushi we had was tasty and well prepared. Â The sushi chef should go to work for a better organized restaurant.
