The food was good though the Italian wedding soup was...different.  what I didn't like though was we got the afterthought table, we had some weird table in the corner next to the window and it wasn't like it was a booth or something it was some table setup bolted to a riser and two old banquet chairs, really uncomfortable.  The service was great, wait times were reasonable, but just felt like outcasts in the off-table.

Everyone here was great but I just couldn't get on board with the food. It tasted too ...I don't know how to describe it...almost like pre-made? The sauce was definitely too sweet on the pizza. Maybe that's what it is that's throwing me. But the friendly atmosphere will definitely keep me coming back when other people in the area are looking for a quick place to go after work. Our server was great. He kept our drinks coming and our food was quick. We had some cheesy bread with sauce and a pizza. Everything was quick and the child that was with us even got some pizza dough to mold and play with while we were waiting for our food; she got a huge kick out of it! All in all, not the best food I've ever eaten, but some quality servers, for sure.

First time here. Teague was our server and she was awesome. I had the thin crust King (signature pizza with mushrooms, onions, peppers, and sausage). It was pretty good.

I thought the sauce was sweet but had a bite to it afterwards. The crust was cracker-like. Not bad. I liked the outer corners idea...my favorite part of the pizza!

Chesdan's will always be the pizza place that I grew up with.  When it was located on Archer avenue, it would always be a special treat after a White Sox game when we'd stop there for some pizza, so for me the place is a tradition.

We were in a couple of weeks ago to try the Reuben pizzas, a St. Paddy's Day special and they were excellent.  Just like eating a Reuben sandwich, but in pizza form!

When we went in the service was extremely quick and any time a drink was emptied it was refilled almost quicker than immediately.

The family feast is a great combo for 4 or so, with the drinks, garlic bread and salads included with the pizza.  Love the peppers that come with the salad!

Hard to go wrong with a place that makes me feel like a kid again when I walk inside.. and Go White Sox!

We go here when we can't really decide on anything else.  It's not spectacular, but you're guaranteed to eat something good.
Had the BBQ chicken pizza.  When I asked the waitress what came on it, she stared at me and said "Uh, BBQ chicken".  I laughed when she walked away.  I think she thought I was completely blonde.  I wanted to know if it came with onions, if the sauce was completely BBQ sauce, etc.  Ah well.
The pizza was pretty good.  I was feeling like having a fat day, and I definitely completed my mission after they had to call a in a forklift to get me out of there.

The sauce is what makes good pizza. Pizza dough and cheese do not vary that much from one pizzeria to another.

The pizza sauce at Chesdan's is too sweet for my taste. Palermo's also has pizza sauce that is too sweet. I wish I knew why they add sugar or what they use to make it taste so sweet.

The salad was a nice size but the salad dressing  tasted like Thousand Island Italian that you purchase at a grocery store. It was too tangy.

My son likes the pizza and sweet sauce. But after two attempts,I told him that he can go eat at Chesdan's Pizzeria with his friends.

We have been going to Chesdan's pizza all the way back to when it was located in the Brighton Park neighborhood on Archer Ave. The pizza is still the best and has remained so over all these years. It's a great cozy restaurant with fine service, delicious food and a good selection of beers. We currently like to order the half baked pizza, take it home and finish the baking in our own oven. This way our whole house smells just like Chesdan's Pizzeria!

My favorite pizza ever. EVER.  Used to go to the Archer location until we pulled up one day and the gate was closed.  Nothing was lost in translation to the new location, and I've been to this new location dozens of times.  This review might seem stereotypical or lacking detail, but EVERYTHING is amazing.

    Sidenotes:

    -The garlic dressing is INCREDIBLE

-The parmesan flatbread is to die for.

I almost had to laugh when the $7 order of cheese fries came out; it was easily the smallest plate I've seen for that price. The pizza we had was bland. Service was fine - there's just better options in the area for the price and quality.

The Lemont car club has a meet in the parking lot of the Sears next door on Saturday afternoon, so we decided to grab a bite. The server was lightning quick the whole time we were there. I must have had 5 Pepsi's because it was so hot out. I ordered the pretzel burger that had sauteed onions and was slathered in cheddar cheese and mushrooms. It was awsome. The bread looked and tasted as though it was made in house. The fries were nice and crispy. As were the onion rings. I wanted a pizza and they looked very good going by. But I wasn't going to wait 25 minutes for one. I will be back for one as it was a pleasant experience.

I remember going to the original Chesdan's on Archer Avenue after a hard night of drinking and loving this place because the pizza had so much gooey cheese, just the thing to coat the stomach and help temper the hangover I'll have in thr morning.

Now older and wiser, I very rarely get the hangovers I got as a new college graduate, but I still love a good pizza.  It seems to me Chesdans has changed little since moving to this new location.  The restaurant itself is new, but still small and cozy.  Probably just enough seating for about 60 people.  There is a tiny bar in a somewhat central location and an outdoor beer garden.  Wait staff was very attentive when I was there.

Pizza itself is the same, thin crust, not crunchy but somewhat tough and chewy.  Lots of cheese and toppings.  Sauce was very sweet though, almost sugary sweet.  Not really what I want in a sauce but it was OK.  Also had some chicken wings and buffalo shrimp.  Chicken wings were classic buffalo wings but they were served with a ranch dressing rather than a bleu cheese sauce.  Buffalo shrimp just doesn't work, the wing spice just flat out overwhelms the delicate flavor of shrimp.  A waste of good shrimp.

The service was good, they kept us supplied with drinks and were very prompt with food.  Still has a bit of charm in spite of it's strip mall location.

The service here is pretty good. Adam was my waiter, and he was fantastic at what he did. With a huge smile on his face, I received my food hot and delicious, just as I expected.

I ordered the chicken and avocado rolls, which were perfectly cooked. crispy on the outside and not too dry on the inside. It went very well with the tangy lime ranchero dip.

I also ordered the Buffalo Chicken thin crust pizza. I'm a huge fan of buffalo chicken pizza, but I fear the lack of moisture with anything involving chicken. The pizza was delicious, and my friend and I ate until we couldn't eat anymore.

Our drinks were promptly refilled right on time, and although there was a table of 26 while we were there, we were still provided with good service.

    Definitely recommended.

This is more of a family oriented place and nowhere I'd go on a Friday or Saturday night. Not the best atmosphere by any means. The food is pretty decent but not my favorite for Italian food. I've had the pizza as well as the lasagna. Neither one blew me away.

What I do love about this place are the Eucharist Cup sized Margaritas! Very tasty and rewarding :)

I was so hopped up to see another Chicago South Side Classic moving out to the burbs. And once again, something got lost in translation. My Archer Avenue pizza spot was not as hot in Homer Glen. The pizza was not bad, but it was not great. The bar is not on their game, you can wait a long time for drinks. The loaded fries are a good concept but could be a lot better.

Ample seating and parking, never experienced a long wait.

Though this place yells *pizza, etc.* ... I have to admit I've never had their pizza. The burgers, however, are to die for and probably a little known fact about this place! Try the Reuben also -- killer! Soups are good - salads are good. Service is never great, but hey, I just walk up and make myself at home there - get my own menu - etc. they are friendly folk!  Food is great - cost is low - I'm not high maintenance! Truly -- check 'em out.

I've lived out in Homer Glen for about five years now and only have been this Chesdan's once in this time. Was I happy about what I had? Not exactly, the service seemed to me less then par, a very young staff as well so I was suprised. The overall everything thing even atmosphere - which to me is a great deal  when eating out - was not a good one. Maybe I caught everyone on an off day, but there should never be a time when everyone is having that at the same time. Good luck in the future, I most likely will not be back..

I've eaten at Chesdans for decades but something happened when they moved to this location, the pizza, normally the best I've ever had, seems to be different somehow these days.  I'd say it's just okay today.  Not sure if they changed the recipies or what, I'm told the original owners are still in charge but something is missing in the flavor, even my mom said so.
