Happy hour margaritas! Along with their famous chips and salsa! Need I say more? You will only find me going to Chevy's if I am craving their chips and salsa! Which was long over due, since the last time I had Chevy's was years ago. No other Mexican restaurant I've been to makes their salsa quite like Chevy's. And if you happen to be in Gold River or Rancho Cordova (the next town over) why not chose Chevy's. Happy hour prices can't be beat! I'm giving this place a 4 star because our waitress was nothing but friendly! She always made sure we were doing ok, and was quick to fill up our chips and salsa if it was running low. Â We ordered their famous chicken fajitas that is mesquite-grilled. It was a large portion for my standard and we were able to share it for two.
Review Source:brought our group family to Chevys in Rancho Cordova, CA on May 28 to
celebrate my daughters Graduation. We had family attend from out of town.
We arrived at restaurant #2027 and right as we seated, our waitress made me
feel really uncomfortable and pressured and demanding a response out of me
when she said 'you will be charged an 18% gratuity, they should have told
you that at the door, so is that ok?" What was I supposed to say? We just
took our seats! All 10 of us, and she is pressuring me about a tip the
second we sat down! We asked for two bills, she said 'You will be charged
18% on both tabs". We have no way to retract a tip if the service was poor?
We were forced to pay 18% times two on one table. Upsetting more, she had
to pressure me, and demand an answer out of me, when I am with my family
from out of town! Tacky, embarrassing, unprofessional. Â We had 5 children
at the table, and order one kids meal which should have been 'free' per
your restaurant promotion, but she said she would have to charge me full
price because my daughter was slightly over 10. The kids meal was a pizza,
and the first time she made it and brought it out, it was too doughy to
eat. She made a second attempt, and it was overcooked and dry, the kids
meal french fries were hard and stale as if to be sitting there for awhile.
We were charged for refills on soft drinks and kids drinks. In my
experience dining out at Chili's or comparable food chain restaurants, we
have never been charged for refills! It was my honest opinion that she was
racking up our bill in order to get that 18% higher! We were in that
restaurant for a total 2.5 hours and .5 of that was conversing while
'actually' eating. We waited an hour for our food, which did not arrive
together, and we waited at least 45 mins for her to calculate and figure
our bill! It was an embarrassing experience for such a special occasion we
were celebrating, and if there was anyway to retract my tip from her, I
would. Â I would prefer not to return that particular restaurant anytime in
my future
I don't know what happened to the quality of the food over the years to Chevy's but I find the food really gross nowadays.  I don't recommend coming here if you don't want to have an upset tummy afterward.  The only thing their good at  is getting people drunk fast because their margaritas and pina coladas are super strong.  If you're goal is to drink then come here. Otherwise beware of the menu items that look like a good idea, but just leave you feeling like you regret ever stepping into this restaurant in the first place.
Review Source:Finally cashed in my loot from the Chevy's Yelp Elite event last year. Husband was actually home from work at a decent hour, so we decided to go out to dinner on a Friday night. My oldest son has been on a quesadilla tear lately, so we decided to go to Chevy's and use the free entree from the event and pick up our bag of chips and quart of salsa. I know Chevy's is a chain restaurant and in some ways is not terribly exciting or authentic, but we know it is someplace we can take the kids and they will be taken care of. Plus, I always like their chips and salsa.
I have to say, as far as kids meals go, I really like Chevy's because they don't just give you one choice for sides, they give them two. This is nice because the boys usually want fries, but they will eat some fruit if it is on the plate as well and this way we are all happy. The boys both got quesadillas, fries and applesauce, along with milk and for dessert a kid's cone of vanilla ice cream. They ate really well and were happy campers. They even gave the boys some masa (the tortilla dough) to play with while they waited for their food. Our waitress, Kelly, was excellent and either must have kids of her own or is just really good at her job (or both) because she was very patient and made sure we had everything we needed without us even having to ask (like extra napkins).
My husband got a combo platter that had four different items on it. It was huge and he took a good portion of it home. He also got one of their monthly special margaritas, which was pineapple coconut and he loved it. Their margs are typically very yummy, I especially love the watermelon ones that they usually have sometime in the summer. I just wanted some tortilla soup and a salad and thankfully they have a deal called The Mexican Hat Trick, which was a choice of soup or small salad, a choice of four or five entrees, including a fajita salad and either fried ice cream or flan, all for the price of the salad (11.99). I upgraded to the shrimp fajitas, which added another dollar or two, but it was worth it for me. It actually ended up being quite a bit of food, so I left a lot of the lettuce behind. I have to say that, aside from the shrimp, the salad was a little bit of a letdown as it was basically just iceberg lettuce. Overall though, we ended up having a very enjoyable Friday night family dinner. We were impressed that they were very nice even when we presented the coupon for the free entree and drink and they did not diminish service one bit. In fact, the manager even came to check on us at one point in the meal. Service was great, the food was decent and we left satisfied.
One of the more spacious Chevy's I've patronized. Â A good place for a meal since the food is pretty darn good! Â Lay off the chips and salsa, unless you plan on it being your only meal. Â Wouldn't be a bad idea since it's free!
The staff were friendly and attentive. Â Provided quick service. Â In fact, we spent such little time here that I noticed we had time to do other things after dinner! Â Shocking! Â I believe it's the closest Chevy's to us, so we'll be back. Â The Crab and Shrimp Enchiladas are calling my name already!
i have been to this location 3 times every single time it has been horable. the first time i went i was sat in the coner and we told our waiter would be right out. he came out asked if we wanted drinks we asked for water, i then also asked for chips, the chips to for ever to come out in fact the waiter even came back before we had them so i asked again now that we had our order placed he said oh yea yea then we finally got them i have been back to give it a chance twice every time its horable customer service and food is adequete. do NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE!!
Review Source:What can be said about Chevy's? Â Is it the best (new) mexican food you will ever eat? Â No. Â Is it good? Â Yes. Â Can you always coun on it being pretty good no matter when you go? Â Yes. Â
We lived in Rancho for several years, and have been to this location several times. Here we have always had good service, and good food. Â Besides as long as they are still serving those chips and salsa (5 star!) and margaritas... They will never have less than a three star from me! Â Although... the margaritas are up to almost $6.50 per now... hmmm.
Came here for lunch today with some colleagues, and as usual, Chevy's did not disappoint. Basically, you can get a decent and fresh-tasting meal here. We all ordered salads, and they were made with decent greens and enough protein to keep us going for the rest of the day.
The service is prompt, attentive and friendly, and the prices are reasonable (especially on the lunch menu).
Nothing to write home about, mind, but not at all bad!
I've always liked Chevy's. The food may not be really authentic, but it's a chain restaurant. I find this place clean, well-kept, and the service is pretty prompt and friendly. Their salsa is awesome, I could probably eat it every day...sadly, they got rid of the tortilla machine, which I loved as a kid. If you want a fun, relaxed, unpretentious vibe in the suburbs, this place is for you.
Review Source:I have yet to find a $4 margarita that is anywhere near this good, or really a margarita this good at all. I usually stick to pineapple coconut, but other favorites include peach, strawberry, and mango (when it's available). The only bad margarita I've had here was pomegranate (although technically at the Arden location), but the waitress knew I was trying it and offered to switch it when I said I didn't like it.
The salsa is perfect. I always go through at least one little bowl of it by myself. Also, they make the chips fresh on location, so those are pretty good too.
My favorite appetizer used to be the half-priced flautas, but then the pricing went up at the same time as the guacamole was replaced by potato chips with tapatio. So now I usually split the nachos grande with a friend and it's always been enough food for two people, which is not bad for $9.
This location desperately needs a bigger cantina. When we arrived last night (mid-December around 6pm), the cantina was full, and we were the first to be waiting for a seat, but two girls came in behind us and flirted with the bus-boy, who opened the outdoors and turned on heat lamps for them. We followed them and sat at the second-warmest table. It really seemed unfair that they didn't have a list going and that they would just let people cut like that. So I guess my point is, if the cantina is full, try pulling your shirt down a bit and applying lip gloss.
Still, the service is usually stellar, and the bartenders in the cantina are awesome, and there seems to be a very low turnover so maybe it's a great place to work. I will definitely be coming back at least until the next time they change their menu unexpectedly.
What happened? Earlier this year right after the big menu switch, I had my mind blown! But the menu options have gone back to subpar in terms of how they're prepared. Hubby and I split the combo shrimp plate. Everything tasted fried.
The table ordered two sides of guacamole, made at the table. It was topped with what tasted like powerdered cheese and it was too much. There was  great deal of lime juice flavor and the avocados used weren't ripe so they they never quite mashed down, but stayed in little cutout shapes.
Chips-- delish, I'll give you that.
Also, the waitress seemed annoyed that we were trying to order, eat, and leave. We weren't rushing her, but she seemed rushed.
Went in today for happy hour/ lunch with my girlfriend and we had a really great experience! We sat in the bar area and were helped by "Heather" who was extremely nice and attentive, and made some great drink/food suggestions. We had margaritas and the fajita nachos and everything was delicious. Overall an A+ experience and with the happy hour prices, everything was under $30 to boot!
Will be coming back for sure! =)
Went here for dinner. The food was much better than I remember, and I will be going back. I have a few complaints about the chain as a whole however.
One, why the heck do I have to pay an extra dollar to have cheese included in my Fajitas? Cheese is a Fajita Staple, and at $15, the dish should include some darn cheese. Just saying. If you want Fajita's, expect to pay too much and not get any cheese.
Next, they have this new fangled touch screen waiter thing. Order drinks, refills, dessert, and pay your bill from this tablet thing on the table. To me, Give me my waiter. Granted I have never worked in the food industry and the wait staff might like their little digital assistant, I don't. It's impersonal to your patrons.
And third, I shouldn't have to remind the waiter about my coupon! I have a hard enough time to remember my coupon, much less to remind him about it....which p.s. the digital tablet waiter do hickey doesn't take my coupon either!
A group of friends decided to come here to celebrate a birthday. It wasn't very crowded on Wednesday so we got a table right away. Seemed a lot of people were celebrating birthdays - we probably heard the birthday song 5 times.
I've learned my lesson from eating here in the past. Split a dish or you'll have a hard to walking out of the place. I love their combo meals where you can choose 2-4 things you want. Yum!!
The food was good here and the service was so-so. They rarely came by to check on us. They did come by to sing a hearty happy birthday though.
I give Chevy's four stars for their Happy Hour, it's pretty amazing. Monday through Sunday, 2PM to 8PM. $3 original or fruit margaritas, domestic draft beers, house wines, and well drinks. Plus, half off selected apps (appetizers)! You can't beat that. The service is always satisfactory. I'm a fan of the bartender, Vic (slight resemblance to Ethan Hawke), he's very friendly, funny, and efficient.
Review Source:All I wanted was a quick, tasty break on the drive home. What I got was neither.
My spidey senses should have tingled when we were told to wait for a table when the dining room was empty except for 2 tables. They didn't. It took over 15 minutes (!) to seat us.
We immediately gave our order and then sat there for another 20 minutes (again, practically empty dining room) waiting for our food. When it came, it wasn't even up to the usual Chevy standards with under-cooked onion & a sprinkling of shrimp, just to mention a few issues. Â
Need a quick & satisfying pit-stop on your way home? Unless you enjoy waiting almost 40 minutes for bad food go elsewhere.
This is my second favorite Chevy's. Â The food is always great. Â The guacamole is made fresh right at my table and the tortilla's are amazing. Â The fried ice cream is super yummy. Â
The only reason they didnt get 5 stars is because the service is always iffy.  Sometimes we get an okay server, sometimes they are horrible.  My husband and I wanted to sit outside one time and it wasnt cold just had a bit of chill in the air.  So we asked the server to turn the heater lamp above our table on.  She said the manager had to do it but she would tell him.  We had to ask her 2 more times, than I went inside and asked the manager myself and he said okay and STILL by the time we left we still did not get that heater on.  The server felt bad but she said only  the manager can do it.  So it was the jackass sitting at the bar who decided to just ignore his paying customers.
**** HAPPY HOUR ****
Been here numerous times for happy hour and don't have one compliant. I have actually never ate in the restaurant.
You can't beat the nachos grande or the selections of margaritas. Great place to get together with friends and coworkers after work however seating is limited inside but they also have an outside section for the bar. Did I mention the salsa and chips are pretty good also.
Some people swear by Chevy's. I swear at it.
Having never been to a Chevy's before, I was really looking forward to a date-night dinner. I wanted to like it, I really did.
A nice hostess sat us in a corner booth, right behind a table of teenagers who had nothing but water, chips & queso (not to mention plenty of volume), in a relatively empty, very cold, dining room.
I had the sizzling steak fajitas -- one of my all time favorite dishes. There were about four slices of steak, all varying degrees of done-ness (one slice was practically mooing, while another was 30 seconds away from being burnt), lukewarm, and tough. And then, oh god, and then there was a hair. In my salsa. I don't even eat salsa, so I just hid it under my napkin and pretended not to notice. Oh but I noticed. I could barely eat another biter of my meal, and made sure to stick to the opposite half of the plate.
My boyfriend had enchiladas, he said they were OK, nothing special. Basically forgettable.
I had a specialty drink while he had a beer, but I was somewhat disappointed that in a restaurant that touts their tequila, my drink may as well have been virgin.
In bullet points:
Lack-luster food
Frrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzziiiiiinnnnngggggg dining room
Small fajita portions
A HAIR!!
I love Chevy's!
Post half marathon run, I finally was able to fulfill my Chevy's craving and get together with some of my Sacramento friends that I hadn't seen since I moved to Indiana last summer. Â The only thing about Indianapolis that I don't like is that there isn't a Chevy's here. Â I'm a creature of habit. Â During my lunch, I received a text from my Indy daughter that said: Â enjoy your fish tacos, chips & salsa! Â Haha...she knows me so well because that is exactly what I had :-)
Chevy's...I'll never leave you for long!!
Came in Saturday for lunch with my girl. Â We ordered a margarita and a specialty cocktail .. some raspberry fizz thing. Â Quite some time goes by ... no drinks ... finally one drink comes out. Â Our server tells us that she is just going to be honest, but their bartender called in and their manager is covering and doesn't know how to make this specialty drink my friend ordered. Â
Okay, so being a bartender, I go up and talk to this guy. Â I ask him if he needs help making this drink or something similar. Â He tells me he is fine but he cannot make this specific drink. Â Next I ask, are you guys looking for someone. Â Seeing as how I am unemployed I figured it might be a good time to fill out an app if they are obviously not prepared for a Saturday lunch shift. Â I mean really, you don't have any other bartender to call to cover? Â Psstttt......
Anyway, the manager (Derek) says in the rudest voice "We have a very qualified bartender who is transferring so the General Manager and I are not interested in your application". Â Wow ... well f you then. Â And btw, it is illegal to not accept applications. Â I wonder if your corporate office knows what sort of things come out of your mouth.
So I go back to my table. Â The waitress comes up and asks if my friend wants anything else. Â She opts for a strawberry margarita instead. Â Something this manager should be able to throw together. Â
Food comes out, it was good. Â
Then the bill comes. Â We get charged for the drink. Â The one she didn't originally want, but the second option. Â And in addition, I asked the server if she would ask the manager if he could comp it. Â She said she would ask. Â
She came back and felt awful but he is obviously not going to make it right. Â Because, well frankly, he looked like he was underqualified to handle a lunch service in Gold River and decided to be a jerk.
I want to remind you that I have been a bartender for years and a manager in addition to my sauce slinging abilities. Â And if someone ordered something I couldn't deliver, I would comp their alternative drink of choice. Â That is what you do to keep people coming back.
And unfortunately for Derek, I won't be back. Â But trust me, I will be calling in regards to his illegal and rude comments to me. Â Because even if you do have someone who is qualified who is transferring, you didn't that day and you screwed up. Â You were not prepared and didn't do your job. Â And to boot you were insulting. Â Your bad.
The only reason this place is even getting 1 star is because our waitress was nice. otherwise this place SUCKS.
My friend wanted to have her birthday dinner here and I haven't been in at least 10 years. We sat at the bar.
1. Tortilla Soup - OK, but I had to ask for silver wear
2. the food runner who dropped my plate of failed to mention that it was scalding and i nearly burnt my hand.
3. i had to remind her that i had sides and where were they?
4. The bartender and co worker were constantly talking across the bar so loudly i couldn't have my own conversation with my friend. "babe this and babe that...." I don't know if they were dating but I don't care.
5. fried ice cream tasted stale.
and overall the food wasn't even THAT GOOD. I can get better Mexican at CHIPOTLE
I won't be back.
Delicious cranberry margarita and complimentary chips with some wacky little sauce to start with. Â Here at about 7:00PM on a Thursday night and the place was not crowded at all. Â That was great. Â We got our drink orders fast, our waitress took our orders immediately and our food arrived quickly too. Â I ordered the chicken burrito with rice, pinto beans, sour cream, guac, etc. I really liked my dish. Â Lots of food, presented very nicely and pretty yummy too.
YAY for those cranberry margaritas!!
The location is pretty convenient, but the restaurant itself has some flaws.
The bar is small, which sucks because I mostly go the Chevy's for their great happy hour! Although they do have outdoor seating. But because it's next to the river, I don't recommend eating outside in the summer evenings because you'll get bit some mosquitos :(
The bartenders are really nice. Always friendly and their drinks are made really well. Servers are also usually nice too, but can be a little slower than most other Chevy's locations.
I've been coming to this location off and on for a number of years. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Ethan Hawke is still bartending here! I told him so, and I think maybe he realized how long he HAD been there, which maybe wasn't a good thing? (Oh, it's not really Ethan Hawke, but his double. You probably knew that anyway.)
So I came here on a Saturday night and the place was packed. Recession? What recession? I actually had to wait at least 20 mins for a table, hence hanging out at the bar.
Chevy's house margaritas are fairly decent and at $6.40 including tax, aren't as pricey as Carmelita's across the river whose margaritas start at $9 (ouch!).
They also have outdoor seating here with heat lamps. And while you won't get a view, if you have noisy kids it's a good thing. They can scream and run around but don't bother anyone.
Food-wise, nothing really stands out except for their addictive salsa. How do they get that smoky flavor? I've even picked up a carton to go for a party once. It's that good.
They also have a decent happy hour from 3:00 - 7:00, Monday through Friday. Margaritas are $3 and appetizers are half off. I do like the flauta appetizers. And you can also find their coupons online, if you don't get any coupons via the newspaper or other mailings. Usually it is like "Buy one entree, get 2nd for $3".
Every time I eat here, I consume a day's worth of calories. The next day I try to make a point of fasting.
Every time I come here, I remember why it's been so long since my last visit. Â I leave disappointed pretty much every time I visit this establishment. Â The service is consistently slow, regardless of the server, and most of the food is just OK.
Like most chain restaurants, Chevy's food is consistent. Â The entrees are average, but the chips and salsa are among my favorites. Â I did notice the chip baskets got smaller, though, and they seemed less eager to refill them. Â A table of four will kill that tiny basket of chips before the server will bring your first round of drinks.
I was pleased to see they brought back the Farmer's Market Quesadilla. Â There is nothing traditionally Mexican about it, except its quesadilla shape and tortilla cladding. Â The contents are a variety of delicious vegetables, including artichoke hearts, and the whole thing is crusted in parmesan cheese. Â Very tasty and not too heavy if you're meeting friends for a social margarita. Â By the way, the margarita menu is fun, and the "super grande" glass is quite "grande."
For me, ambiance can make up for poor service, and the interior of this joint does nothing to help it out. Â With so many hard surfaces, the place can get quite loud, but the dining room is always clean. Â The most charming place to dine at Chevy's in Gold River is the wonderful outdoor covered patio. Â Especially on a warm summer evening, you can get lost in a good margarita and overlook the usually poor service.
At the end of the day, it's just a Chevy's. Â As one other reviewer wrote, if you have been to one Chevy's, you've been to them all, for the most part. Â Don't come to this location if you are in a hurry, but if you are craving the consistent comfort of Chevy's cuisine, I suppose this location is as good as any.
Quickie review of this specific location, since once you have been to Chevy's you have really been to all of them.
Service: OUTSTANDING. Wish I had wrote down her name, she was great, talked to my girls, re-filled my drink probably no less than 5 times without an issue.
Food: Margarita's were STRONG. Chicken flautas were excellent. Dessert was very good also.
The only negative was the chicken tortilla soup. It was very flavorful but extremely watery.
We have visited Chevy's three times in the past two months and found both the service and food excellent. I was impressed by watching the management subtlety walking around ensuring everything flowed smoothly. As causal chain-food restaurants go, I felt this was a well run restaurant and very good food...our favorite spot for casual Mexican. Overall, here is my two cents:
Service = Excellent. Staff is attentive and anticipates your needs. Managers are visible and constantly walking around.
Ambiance = Very good, upbeat & festive.
Food (quality and quantity) = Excellent: Hot, fresh and tasty.
I'm not gonna lie...Chevy's and I go way back. Â We first met in San Francisco and had rendezvous in Denver, Mountain View, Sacramento, and San Jose. Â Recently, we got re-acquainted with one another in Gold River (the elitists like to separate themselves from Rancho Cordova...when in fact they ARE in Rancho...it's the same freakin' zip code!).
Chevy's is not at all that special, I know, but he knows how I like it. Â He knows how I like my salt on my chips, my salt on my margarita, my spice in my salsa. Â He knows how I like my chicken in my flautas and my lime in my Corona's. Â I just like how Chevy's knows me...
This Chevys is a brick... house! Seriously though, it's made of brick.
The chips and salsa were very average. My two enchilada combo was pretty good.
Notorious B.I.G. wouldn't have felt too comfortable at this white trash Chev - plus K-Mart and mobile home parks are nearby. Also, with a name like "Gold River" we hoped for better than non-descript strip malls.
Other random tidbits:
Brendan's cactus chip rode on the car antenna for miles.
The sign for the bathroom had an arm grafted to woman's body. Nasty!... but cool.
This Chevys rocked a new birthday song, "Hit the Road Jack," and sang it with enthusiasm.
We were afraid our disgruntled waitress might kill us in the back shed when she led us back there to retrieve a souvenir watermelon pinata.
Summer of Chev
Stop #3
Chevys #31
Souvenir: Watermelon pinata
I am a foodie....but, man do I enjoy some Chevy's!
I work across the street from this place.
At least once a month, we eat there and while the service is marginal at best, the food is consistent.
That special "something" in the salsa...that's anchovies. My husband used to date a girl that worked there, and she gave him the info.
Fajita Burrito-The bomb.
That corn stuff on the side of the plate- oh so good.
I've been to this Chevys twice in the past two weeks. Â Food was decent as usual. Â
On the most recent trip last Friday night, we were with friends and there was about a 20 minute wait, so we decided to wait in the bar. Â Luckily we got there about 10 minutes before happy hour ended, and ordered drinks and appetizers at the happy hour rate (I recommend the $3 nachos!). Â After a while, I realized that I hadn't heard the hostess calling any names to be seated. Â One of our party went to check the list, and sure enough, we had "missed" the call. Â I guess they don't bother to call over the PA system like they have every other time I've been there.
Service was generally OK. Â They did screw up one order, sending out steak fajitas instead of a steak fajita burrito, and the server did realize it immediately and offered to fix it, but it turned out to be no big deal to my friend.
My biggest complaint is: "what the heck happened to 'El Machino'??" Â If you aren't familiar with El Machino, it was the crazy contraption that rolled the dough, flattened the dough balls into tortillas, cooked them, and then sent them down the little spiral cooling rack? Â It's gone. Â Replaced by some industrial looking mixer thing and a guy standing next to a rotating grill flipping tortillas. Â It's just not the same, and I don't think the tortillas taste the same either. Â They're thicker and more doughy. Â
Oh well, still a decent place to hang out for the happy hour deals, and I think the fajitas at Chevys are still pretty good. Â Three stars. Â (I'd go to 2.5 if I could, just for the lack of El Machino.)
Food gets the three stars and the service is minus one. Food is as expected, of course.
But wow the service is really poor here. We got in and had to wait 15min for a table although a few were empty just not cleaned. Then after we sat we want to know about drink specials and the waitress just said I don't know even before I finished my question and walked away. It took another 15 min before we got fed up and had a little talk with the manager. She assured us that someone will be right with us and apologized for the rude behavior of that waitress, giving us the excuse that she didn't speak English (it gets better). It took another 5 min but someone finally came to take our orders.
At the end of our meal, the bill came and none of the drinks were given the drink specials discount, Â the add-on side dish soup which is suppose to be 2.99 was charged 4.99 and they split our check without us asking for it, then that same waitress walks past and speaks to us in English!!!
Outrageous!!!!! The only saving grace is the hostess of the evening who tried her best to make this most awful experience bearable.
Okay okay, so mock me for doing the chain thing, but we had to pick a pretty casual place near work and since we were farrrrrrr away from the cool options available midtown, we stacked into this local Chevy's for some chips and margaritas.
I have to confess, there is definitely something about their chips and salsa. Â I could eat two baskets if my friends did not tie my mouth shut.
We ordered several appetizers (quesadillas and nachos supreme dish). Â I personally love quesadillas, all that stringy cheesy stuff with bits of moist chicken between sips of a good sweet and not too strong (good for the Asian non-tolerance) and the casual relaxed ambiance made it easy for me to get louder and louder. Â The nachos were so so because the cheese hardened fast. Â
Lots of suits there that night (some sort of project at Intel), so it was fun to hang out and  exchange banter with nice people.  There are other eateries available on the other side of the street (Outback and Applebees...)
