The Chew Chew

I have been here 5 times now and it has ROCKED every time.  I highly recommend this place.  The variety is fantastic; if you are in the mood for a substantial meal or a lite bite, if you have a group with meat lovers and vegetarians - it will work!  Also, they have an amazing drink menu (I recommend the mango mojito).  

They always have a few super unique items on the menu and the wait staff is usually very enthusiastic about the menu and telling you about what is fabulous that night or about the featured items and specials.  

The last time I was there we tried just about every appetizer and they were all fantastic.  I also had the almond crusted rainbow trout with pesto, which was out of this world good (it came with julienne vegetables and basil rice that was to die for).

Went on Good Friday evening.  All the food was very good.  Perch, vegetarian, linguine with scallops and mussels, appetizers, desserts. in fact the artichoke appetizer was great.  The most tender artichoke I have ever had. Nice atmosphere.  One issue: our server not that good.  Never read us the specials until we asked.  This was after we heard her telling the table next to us after we ordered.

I want to love it, but I just like it. They get an extra star because the staff and owner are great and very friendly. I wish they had longer hours and brunch on the weekends. Overall, the food is really good, but I've had some stuff that missed (BBQ pork special stands out). I always love the burger. Not impressed with fish or pasta from there.  Decent beer selection. Great atmosphere,and great people.
