Like many others in the area, I have driven by this dive bar 100 times wondering what was keeping it open year after year. Â I finally was looking on Yelp for some live music. Â When I read so many great reviews I must admit I was skeptical so I went to check it out for myself. Â All of these reviews are correct. Â The bar was huge with plenty of bar stools all the way around and more seating right up by the stage that hosted a VERY good blues band playing mostly new stuff that was incredibly original & catchy. Â I noticed a digital jukebox, a couple of video games (including Golden Tee), and a pool table. Â The walls were covered with posters of late great blues & rock legends like Muddy Waters and Jimi Hendrix. Â I even checked out the two unisex bathrooms which were both amazingly clean for a dive bar. Â That was basically what it was, a very clean dive bar with great music.
Most of the crowd were taking advantage of the inexpensive beers on tap, but I also noticed a full bar unfortunately kept out of sight. Â The audience was a mix broad mix of mainly couples, including just a pair of women, who all just love live music. Â So, ladies, do not be afraid to walk in this place.
Great bartenders and just a cool hip rare place in burbs to see great live jazz or blues acts. They have live music five days of the week. The place is small but the bar is huge with a stage and a pool table. The owner makes sure the regular acts are very talented in their field of music. This is definately a great place to go even with the limited parking.
Review Source:Traveled by this joint over 35 years and always wondered what it was like; finally stopped in. Â It is a dive bar in every great sense of the word. Â Nothing pretentious about this place; just cheap beers, good people and simple. Â I loved visiting and will likely come again when the jazz is playing.
