This is a sports bar that tries to cater upscale people. Please know that generally, most of the employees are kind and the bartenders will do their best to suit you. I guess my complaint is that they let a few "bar" regulars in who chew tobacco and spit in cups when you are trying to eat, swear loudly in front of your children, and have no self respect. If this were a dive bar, then I would not say a word but they seat families so close to the bar, this is a regular offence, and if you complain, nothing happens. I would avoid this place as there are plenty of other better places nearby.

I've been here twice in the past six months and I have not really been impressed.  I'm not expecting five star seafood but when I pay $21.95 for three little crabcakes the size of a golf ball, if not smaller, it's not worth it coming from here.  It wasn't over abundant in crab flavor either.  Both times we did not experience service that was steller and they always serve the entree before you are even halfway done with your appetizer.  It's just too fast of a progression from course to course.  We had to ask for silverware and wipes both times.  I really don't like writing negative reviews but I just think if they tried a little harder it could be better.  Good service is huge for me.  Engage your guests, smile, laugh, be attentive.  Earn your tips!  I know they won't change prices and that is what will most likely keep me from returning for anything other than beer and crab fries.

Was at the original Chuckles and Pete's, no big deal. Not only was the food bad,the service was worse. What makes frozen French fries deep fried and some old bay on them worth $8.00???? Last time I will ever waste my money there!

In general I feel like C&P's just doesn't care. The fact that none of the entrees come with side items, which would be appropriate for a high end restaurant, but the quality of food isn't nearly good enough to be served alone. They also said that the food wouldn't come out at the same time, which doesn't really make sense as a business principle, because it's not like when you get the food it's piping hot. I ordered the crab legs, which were pretty pricey considering the amount of crab meat I actually received. $25.95 for about five pieces of crab meat seems a little overpriced, especially for a place that prides itself on having great seafood. I wouldn't recommend this place if you want a decent amount of food, or seafood.

4 words to best describe: Crab Fries with Cheese.

    Too pricey for mediocre food.

The beer I ordered was ice cold, as it should be. Our waiter was friendly and attentive.

So why only 1 star? I ordered a cheeseburger, and well, I have had better from McDonald's. Seriously. I was very disappointed in the cheeseburger. My son also ordered one, and he didn't even finish it! If my son doesn't eat all of his hamburger, something is wrong!

I don't get the hype about the crab fries - they were average. For what we paid, an overall big disappointment for sure.

Some food is better than others, but the ambiance is great!

This was one of the worst experiences at a restaurant. I can understand a long wait on a Saturday night, especially with a sixers and the flyers on tv. What made my night unenjoyable was that I saw at least 2 people come in we'll after me hug the hostesses and when they sat down, hug the waitresses , and then before they ben ordered their waiter called them by their first name. How do I know they skipped the 75 minute wait? Chicke's & Pete's uses a text message when your table is ready and twice I checked when those tables were sat, my status didn't change. I know there was some sort of manager there because she was out of uniform behind the host stand. Then when I sat down to eat I literally went from appetizer to as sandwich in about 10 minutes and out the door 30 minutes after I sat down. Unacceptable to feel rushed! If it wasn't for our server, this place would get 0 star.

i actually ate here the other night. i got the crab cake sandwich. underwhelming at best. there was plenty of crab in the cakes, but there was otherwise no real flavor. it's served with some sort of dijon aoli that just doesn't work. food comes out as it's ready so my husband and i didn't actually eat together. i'm hoping it was just because we were at the bar? go for trivia, stick to crab fries or nachos.

2.5 stars, not 3. I'd recommend this location if you want to pull up a seat at the bar and watch the game, have some brews and bar food. Good luck though, b/c the bar area is way too small and even standing room can be a hassle trying to hold on to your beer as the waitress squeezes through the crowd. The food is typical CnP (good wings, mussels, crab fries) service is quick, Corona of tap is a nice bonus and so is being within a few minutes from home.

Terrible.  For a sports bar there are very few TV's outside of the bar area.  Beer selection was decent at best.  I had the Goober, I think, and it was a cold shrimp sandwich...like a shrimp lobster roll but with fries and cold cheese sauce.  Ehhh.  Wife had three crab cakes that probably added up to 8oz of crab and cost $20.

If you want a great beer selection, great food, good atmosphere, and LOTS OF TV's head over to P.J. Welihans in Blue Bell.  Even their crab fries are better!

We've just rolled home from our first C &P's meal.  Very good.
He enjoyed the blue claw hard shell crabs, which were ample
and tasty.  I had Chickie's style hot shrimp, savory and filling.
Our server was delightful, attentive without being intrusive.
And, of course, the fries were great.  If you're on a low-salt
diet, you may want to avoid them, they are saltier than perhaps
they should be, but still good.  My only negative is the price of
my Flyin' Hawaiian (We miss you, Shane!) at $9.  Tasted good,
but not THAT good.  Yuengling next time for sure.  We will be
    back.

    My husband and I come here every now and then. We do love the seafood, the service is always fast and the staff is always polite and attentive. Plus my husband loves the sports atmosphere so when he is happy everybody is happy (-;

Bar food that is absolutely sub-par! Even the famous crabfries are a big disappointment...soggy and tasteless. The food tasted like the frozen stuff I can get at the supermarket for half the price... and the quality of service and atmosphere does not make up the difference. This place also claims to be a "sports bar" but it is more like a dance club...the music is way too loud to enjoy any game on TV. Just because you have ESPN running on the TVs in the background does convey the highly coveted title of "Sports Bar." Come on man...improve your food. The original C&P on Robbins is fantastic, but this franchise restaurant in Warrington is awful...start living up to the C&P legacy.

Not a local, but I was visiting and it's one of my son's favorite.

Appearance is a typical sports bar, but I didn't care I was able to catch up on some football :)  Our server was better than average, we were all drinking tea and she brought a pitcher so we never ran dry.

Loved the crab fries, you can't eat just one.  We had the Italian Pizza, its thin crust, mix of cheeses, proscuito, baby rabb and balsamic vinegar was perfection!  I tried the Burger of the same name but it wasn't as wonderful.  I'm very pickey about my bun and the grease of the burger had made it so soggy I went sans bun.

That night they offered a Buffalo Chicken Soup and I was game....glad I was.  Soup was creamy and spicy, with large chunks of chicken, celery and blue cheese.  Was a chicken wing without all the fuss!

My only thing with the service was how the food came out.  I'm not a fan of food not coming out all together.  As a previous restaurant manager, it's my pet peeve.  However, this could be their standard practice,in which case I just need to chill!

I used the QR code to leave feedback about my experience and the next day I received an email from the GM offering to make my visit perfect.  Thank you Bob!!

I'm positive I will return for a another visit.

Nice place to hang out with the guys at the end of a long day at work.  I still think the original Chickie's and Pete's in philadelphia is the best, but this is close to home. Is still the best sports bar in the area.

Great bar in the burbs. So glad we have it! Hands down beats anything else as far as a sports bar. This is the kind of place you go to hang out, have fun, and not have to spend an hour in the car driving home later.

This is actually the only time I have been in a C&P's since I'm not near the city, and I usually just grab it at the games so I was excited to sit down finally. Fries are just epic, cheese sauce, yeah that good. Beer specials for cheap domestics that u can find anywhere, limited craft beer unfortunately. Meal was good, had a pork sandwich, tasty but small, especially for its price. I know you can go to other places and find em in foot long rolls, so it was kind of a bummer, beware the sandwich serving size i guess. My buddy said his burger was good, so I'll have to try something different next time. Good place for the games obviously and some brews, stick with the fries and ya can't go wrong.

This location is small compared to the other Chickie's I have been to but its not too cramped inside.  Its setup pretty much the same as the other Chickie's locations.  I have never been a big fan of their food and this location is no different.

If you are there to have a few beers and app's its not a bad choice.  I wouldn't go here for dinner.

I feel bad to leave negative reviews but sometime they are deserved.  Hopefully management is not too arrogant and will learn from reviews.

This is not a real Chickie's and Pete's.  NOT the same.  Everything was either average or far below average.  Staff was very nice, however, but most of the food was not.  They gave me the wrong beer twice and insisted it was correct.  I think I know the difference between an IPA and some crappy lager.  Muscles, which are excellent at other locations, were TERRIBLE.  No flavor.  We left disappointed.  Fried stuff was good but that's easy.  Seafood was lame.

It was ok. It's a bar with great fries and that's about it...
I ordered the pork sandwich with Au jus and my husband ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. My daughter who is 3 ordered the grill cheese.
Seating was fast, atmosphere ok. Got to watch the Olympics on many screens which is a plus.
Food wise, it is expensive and blah. My pork sandwich was dry and the au jus was grease. Not gravy, a bowl of grease and it was gross. The sand which was ok..bread good.
My husband liked his which was a plus. My daughter loved the $4 two pieces of white bread and cheese.
The ice tea was gross, not fresh brewed, just  out of a dispenser.
Service was good, all of our meals came out differently . My 3 yo meal came out last...
Overall, I wouldn't go back. For $40 lunch, it wasn't worth it...

I don't understand why people go crazy over the crab fries.  They are french fries with old bay on them.  Chickie and Petes is nothing but a chain restaurant  now.  Spend money on a locally owned restaurant where real food is served.

So I was on the way home from a business trip and needed a snack and a cold one.  It was midafternoon.  As I was going by the crab fries were calling me and I whipped into the lot.  I remembered that this location was formally a Ninety Nine but the remodel is quite nice.

I sat at the bar and ordered the requisite crab fries and a draft.  I chatted with a friendly bartender for the short wait before the fries arrived.  Out came a huge portion and they were hot and fresh and crispy and of course they were served with the two tubs of cheese sauce for dipping.  They were too many for me to finish but they sure were tasty.

It was a short visit but it was a typical suburban sports bar experience.

I decided to take my mother here for a Mother's Day lunch. What a disappointment!!! We were seated immediately. Our waitress quickly came by put two forks (no knives) on the table and offered drinks. We went (what I'm guessing was a special) w/ $2 Coors Light drafts. My mother loves seafood, so she ordered the shrimp salad. I ordered the chicken cutlet club and some crab fries. Within maybe 2-3 mins the waitress dumps off my mother's salad. A minute after that, here comes the fries, a minute after that, my sandwich. Would it be THAT hard to deliver the food all at once?! I am convinced that nothing here is made to order. The chicken cutlets were more like 3 small/thin chicken dried out chicken fingers on an over sized roll. My mother's salad was just a pile of romaine lettuce, maybe 4 grape tomatoes, another 4-5 croutons, and maybe FIVE little shrimp! All for the low price of $12.00! And the fries were overcooked to top things off.

My mother looked at me and said this was the worst salad she's ever had. Then she said, we should have went to Longhorn down the street, which I wholeheartedly agreed. I brought her here because that's where she wanted to go since she's never been to the ones in Philly. I'm never spending another dime at this joint again. It seems like they're more about turning tables over than seeing people enjoy a meal.

We've been to other locations and always loved it.  Last night we ordered crab fries (first, with our drinks), a lobster roll and a lb of snow crab legs.  Lobster roll came out first- roll was totally burnt.  I smelled it as soon as the server put it down, but she dropped it and ran.  I asked for a new one (waitress tried to convince me it wasn't burnt, just toasted, but it was black all the way around!) when she came back by a few minutes later.  Next came the crab legs, which were done perfect.  About 5 minutes later my new lobster roll came out with the crab fries.  So much for an appetizer.  We didn't even eat half of the crab fries because we were trying to eat dinner before it got cold, and by then, the fries were cold.
Luckily we were paying with a gift card, so I wasn't too upset about wasted money.

I've been to other Chickie's & Pete's locations over the last 10 years and I always remembered it being pretty bangin so you can imagine my excite when I realized they were opening one in my town. Unfortunately, this one needs help.  The price of crab legs went up and the efficiency of the (rather rude) waitress to deliver them not ice cold went down.  I don't mind shelling out some money for crab legs, I realize they aren't cheap... but is there no quality control to check to see if the food is (at the very least) warm when it hits the table? Yuck.  We did send them back to be warmed up, but still. Should we have had to?  The fries are always good, but most fries at most places are good so I'm not gonna bust a nut over them. There is nothing worse than getting a hefty bill delivered to your table after a completely unsatisfying meal.  Next time I have a craving for crab legs, we will hit Wegmans and make them ourselves. At least we know that the legs won't be void of meat and ice cold. :)  Ok C & P, you can go away now.  We are done.

EXPENSIVE, small portions, left hungry  Good service... $9.00 for lettuce a few grape tomatoes and croutons. Had the lobster special, it was a small lobster and a small portion of arugula salad, not as pictured in their advertisement, husband had the lobster tails which looked like an appetizer when they arrived and nothing came with it?. Anything extra is $9.00 each, 9 is their favorite number. FIRST AND LAST TIME......MISS NINETY NINE THEY HAD GREAT LOBSTER ROLLS AND MOHITO'S. Left hungry and made something home. BEWARE notice on the online menu no prices? That will be your clue, stay away from this place. We were told our food will come out different times not together? Never heard of this policy, strange? Only thing good about this place was our server.

I went here for lunch with a group, it was my first experience at what is, apparently, a seminal sports bar in the greater Philadelphia area.

    The good:
    - They were very accommodating for the group
    - Service was prompt, attentive, but not overbearing
    - Everyone loved the crab fries
    - Tons of TV's everywhere playing everything sports related all the time.

    The bad:
    - Expensive for what it is.
    - If you're going with a sports fan, expect them to be distracted.
    - Food was only so-so. My burger was nothing to write home about.
    - Beer selection was pretty uninspired.
    - Everything tasted extra salty. I get that that's to some people's taste, but it wasn't to mine.
    - If you're not into seafood half the menu is irrelevant.

If you're with a group of sports loving friends who don't care about salt and want seafood (especially crabs) Chickie & Pete's is your thing.

As many others have said - the service was great and fast and our food also came out at different times so you'll have to put your good manners aside and not wait for everyone at the table to be served before you dig in.  Beer selection could be a bit better but we all found something to have.  The atmosphere is kind of lacking, they didn't do much to change it up from the 99 that was there so it has that sterile mass produced restaurant feel. Of course we shared crab fries which is good because their sandwiches do not come with any sides (for like $9.00 they could give you something).  my husband got the mussels which were *huge* - we took enough home to make a whole second meal out of!  Definitely a good value on the menu.  With all that good sauce it came with he said it would have been nice to have some bread for dipping though.

For a late lunch this place was hoppin (day of the Penn State Bowl game)!  Fast service. Great place to watch a game --lots of TVs with an amazing sound system. We had the crabfries, buffalo chicken cheese steak, and Magooby.  I ate the Magooby and would certainly recommend you try it out.  I would best describe the Magooby as a shrimp PoBoy.

Summary:  Fast Service, Good Food, Great place to watch a game!

First of all it was warm and cozy inside and the service was fabulous.  Faster than fast food. My hubbie has the clams with white sauce. Excellent ! Not too garlicky but just enough. Plenty of broth for dipping. Lobster roll for dinner was jam packed with lobster , celery and a little onion. very tasty in the roll , otu of the roll , and even dipped in the calm broth. btw they had no problem making everything without pepper as my hubbie is allergic.
I had a veggie pizza with no peppers but added tomato sauce .
They had no problem changing the menu . Awesome pizza. Thin crust , perfectly cooked . And I am a pizza snob but thumbs up to Chickie and Petes ! We will be back

Stay in the bar area if you are there for a game - the general seating areas have less TV's, and the scene just doesn't feel right - you feel like you are missing something. I recommend the bar seating if it's only a few people. Food was OK, crab fries are always delicious. Service was pretty bad and I've heard similar from others. Manager refused to turn on the Penn State game in favor of a Flyer's 3rd period blowout no one was clearly watching, then tried to move us to another table an hour later when we were comfortable lol. They are clearly still trying to get the hang of things in there - props for opening up a Chickie's in the area though, great idea!

Great new local Chickie's and Pete's. Came here with a large group of friends for food and drinks. My friends had a buffalo chicken cheese steak, a buffalo wing sandwich, a bleu cheese burger and a large order of C&P's famous (and always delicious) Crab Fries. Cheese steak fell apart immediately, but everything was tasty. Had fun with friends, but the location is poorly laid out for a C&P's (which are normally very crowded), parking took forever, and the staff there were very rude. On a Saturday night they had no drink specials, and paid $9 for a "Flyin' Hawaiian" (ode to my favorite CF) which tasted like kool-aid, and barely had a splash of coconut rum. Definitely not worth the $9. Will go back at another time to see if anything changes, but I recommend going for lunch or early dinner. Has the biggest bar I think I've ever seen, too bad there were no specials to compliment the extremely large array of liquor.
