I am not sure how in the world I have missed trying this relatively new place, I understand that they have been open for more than a year now.
First off I was pleased by the amount of off street parking that they have available, for me, this is a big plus right out of the gate.
In any event, I feel that Chill is a great after work or late night destination- a large menu of specialty cocktails, wines and beers is featured. A new and exclusive drink is the Marilyn Martini which the ladies tried; they said it tastes like a strawberry cheesecake dessert. :)
Food is really not their thing, but they have a small plates menu with a few items to help take the edge off of any hunger that you might have.
Chill has a couple of cozy conversation areas with plush seats as well as the usual bar and high-top tables that you would expect. Supposedly there is a private party area available but I didn't take the time to check it out.
A new feature is the gaming area which is why on the door there is a sign saying "21 and over only". Personally I am happy that some bars are now 21 and over since it seemed like we were running out of "adults only" establishments.
On the weekends they have live entertainment; the particular night that we were there, Gina Gonzalez (an up and coming local singer) was performing some pop and folk numbers with just the right vibe for a Friday night.
I felt the service was better than average and the place seemed staffed just right which is certainly a welcome change.
There is one high-def TV above the bar which is good for those folks who are interested in keeping one eye on the game of the day.
Overall I had a great time with friends here at Chill- I'd certainly come back and enjoy the hospitality again. I'd recommend Chill to anyone who wants to have a nice and relaxing evening out.
