I really enjoyed this place. The service was what made it outstanding for me. The food was great and NOT your traditional "American" Mexican food joint. They really tried to distinguish themselves from other Mexican Restaurants. A lot of the food was unique and they make many things in house. You definitely do not get anything out of a can here. HIghly recommend and appreciate everything about this place. It was a little chilly when we went there so be sure and bring a jacket!
Review Source:This is a nice restaurant for good Mexican food in a more upscale atmosphere than most local Mexican places and worked great for a date night. We enjoyed the Matamoros and Mexico City dishes and thought their poblano rice was much better than the normal Mexican rice you tend to get at a Mexican restaurant.
Review Source:The food here is amazing! I loved everything we ordered. The margarita was mixed really well and strong too. Just how I like them. Ha. The ingredients in each dish we had were super fresh and crisp. I have no complaints at all about the food. The only drawback are the white lights in the evening. They are too cold. Need a warmer bulb. Would be five stars otherwise!!
Review Source:We loved the food. I had the flank steak tacos and they were very tender and tasted great. My husband had a margarita and it was one of the best he has ever had. He also said the refried beans were very good. Not soupy at all as the other reviewer  listed. Services was great. Our waitress was very helpful in suggesting menu items and our food arrived quickly. Our food was very fresh and hot when it arrived. Some reviews say they charge for the chips and salsa which was not the case. Ours was free and brought as soon as we sat down. We had several refills at no charge. The prices were very reasonable.
Review Source:My husband and I love mexican food. Â We prefer authentic but will try anything new since the only thing we seem to get in Springfield is the mandatory "drown in sauce and cheese with no flavor" kind of mexican food. Â We went Saturday for lunch to give this place a try. Â
When we walked in, we were under the impression the owner was trying really hard to  give the restaurant a clubby, big city feel.  There was even an annoying dance music loop playing overhead. When we sat down, our server brought the obligatory chips and salsa.  Chips were the standard bagged kind. Salsa was a weak tomato sauce with flecks of cilantro.  My hubby asked for a hot salsa, which was actually quite tasty.  Roasted, garlicy with a kick.  Margarita's were on special.  $5.00 for their house margarita.  Nothing on their cocktail list was inexpensive.  Martini's and margarita's were running around $10-$14.00.  I must say, the margarita was good.  It didn't taste like that horrible sour mix that some restaurants use. This was smooth and was served in a nice big goblet.  My husband orded the tamales, which said on the menu, that they are only served on the weekend (so must be fresh, right??) I ordered 3 chicken enchiladas (the guadalajara).  Our food came out pretty fast, since we were one of only 2 tables at 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon. My enchiladas were not quite cold but somewhere between cool and warm (luke warm??) they were corn tortillias dipped in red sauce then had dry pulled chicked wrapped up inside.  The rice was formed into a decorative pyramid shape and was a bit too salty.  The refried beans, however, came in it's own dish.  It was more like a refried bean soup, with not a lot of flavor.  My husbands 2 tamales were also luke warm.  They were ok, a little dry and the chicken inside was a little too spicy.  Again, he also got the pyramid rice and refried soup.  WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what we got.  I checked out the website before we went, and am always suspicious when a restaurant doesn't want to list their prices. We won't be going back.
