I wish Yelp would allow me to rate this with less then one star...The food is terrible, staff is clueless and Management is incompetent.. Â My 7 year old ordered a kid burger and it was was junk,...I complained and sent back (NO Manager visit?)...& we waited 22 min for the replacement (told them to make it to-go).
Waitress dropped the check & ran; when I reviewed the bill, they charged us for both burgers?...The Waitress said "My manager told me to bill you" . Â I immediately called the manager over and he denied instructing the waitress to double bill us (for the disgusting burger my son was initially served) and he acted like he was doing us a favor by taking it off our bill...total disregard to customer service. Â I ordered a cod sandwich on a guacamole ciabatta...sounds good right?...GROSS!...the bun was soggy, about 2.5oz of heavily battered cod that tasted VERY bland...Wife & Mother-in-law split a beef tip/penne dish...the beef had some weird artificial taste and 1/2 of it was not even eaten. Â
I get it... it's a bar...& the beer selection is excellent....just be sure to eat before you go there!
From a suggestion of one of my clients, we met at CK Diggs in RH and it was exactly what I was looking for. A great sandwich shop with great service, and if it was later in the day, we could have enjoyed a frosty cold one while we were on the patio taking in the sights and sounds of the corner of Auburn and Crooks. We started off with the fried calamari that the other half of our two-person party ordered, which turned out to be delicious, but a tad heavy on the garlic and cilantro but enjoyable nonetheless. I will have to say I altered my sandwich from the standard due to my love of the combination. I also suggested they add it my way to the menus, which of course were ignored. I ordered the classic Ruben but instead of sauerkraut, I substituted it with coleslaw. These combinations are just wonderful. In addition to a great sandwich, it was huge and had to struggle to finish it. So big in fact that we ate at 1:15 PM and did not have to eat for the rest of the day. I will definitely be back for the great "Steven" Ruben, especially since my new office is down the road. Where is my frequent flyer card CK Diggs because I will be racking up the hole punches? Â
Oh, and good prices too.
I have been visiting this establishment for over 10 years now and I must say, I cannot remember when I have had a bad experience here.
Starting off with the beer selection (41 taps) and over 100 bottled beers, you can get a sense that this is not your average local brewpub. The atmosphere is decorated in an eclectic style, with several TVs posted around so you can watch your local sporting event.
The food is good and certainly does not disappoint with quality and portion size.
