The Palace Of Auburn Hills

I went to the Palace with my daughter to see One Direction.  Parking is good, but that's where it ends.  The concert was scheduled to start at 7:00.  We were kept in the lower area like a herd of cattle, elbow to elbow.  Standing on a hard floor until 6:20.  I feel sorry for the vendors inside.  They could have been selling food and other merchandise for at least two hours earlier than when we were let in.  
   At the time we were allowed to go in, there were know gates to go through. It was mass hysteria.  Merely a small fabric tape on poles with 1000's of people behind it.  The hand full of staff members and their upc readers were like a 5 person police force at a civil rights riot.  You could tell they were trained to handle no more than a K4 bus load at the local put put golf.  At this point, anyone could have walked in without a ticket.  They attempted to check purses and bags, but any beginner terrorist could have had a field day at this venue.  They had no control.
   This was by far, the worst run, least policed and poorly staffed venue I have ever been to.

I've been to so many great concerts and basketball games here! There's honestly nothing like this place and I've had some amazing nights here!

OMG, when I went to the palace to catch my 1st pistons game; I couldn't believe my eyes at how big the palace was. To me, it felt like an airport. This was a belated birthday gift. We went a few Novembers ago with my sister, her friend Katie and my brother-in-law. We played the Oklahoma City Thunder, but lost 90-92. The seats were fantastic, the view was good. The PA Announcer John Mason did a great job, the players had tons of energy and here's the odd part, while the thunder was trying to produce a "storm of points"(no pun intended), they'd play no music and when the Pistons were shooting, they did pump ups. So get down to a game if you haven't already, The food was also good.
