I went to the Palace with my daughter to see One Direction.  Parking is good, but that's where it ends.  The concert was scheduled to start at 7:00.  We were kept in the lower area like a herd of cattle, elbow to elbow.  Standing on a hard floor until 6:20.  I feel sorry for the vendors inside.  They could have been selling food and other merchandise for at least two hours earlier than when we were let in.
At the time we were allowed to go in, there were know gates to go through. It was mass hysteria.  Merely a small fabric tape on poles with 1000's of people behind it.  The hand full of staff members and their upc readers were like a 5 person police force at a civil rights riot.  You could tell they were trained to handle no more than a K4 bus load at the local put put golf.  At this point, anyone could have walked in without a ticket.  They attempted to check purses and bags, but any beginner terrorist could have had a field day at this venue.  They had no control.
This was by far, the worst run, least policed and poorly staffed venue I have ever been to.

I've been to so many great concerts and basketball games here! There's honestly nothing like this place and I've had some amazing nights here!

OMG, when I went to the palace to catch my 1st pistons game; I couldn't believe my eyes at how big the palace was. To me, it felt like an airport. This was a belated birthday gift. We went a few Novembers ago with my sister, her friend Katie and my brother-in-law. We played the Oklahoma City Thunder, but lost 90-92. The seats were fantastic, the view was good. The PA Announcer John Mason did a great job, the players had tons of energy and here's the odd part, while the thunder was trying to produce a "storm of points"(no pun intended), they'd play no music and when the Pistons were shooting, they did pump ups. So get down to a game if you haven't already, The food was also good.

Went here for the first time for the Ke$ha and Pitbull concert about a month ago.

This place is HUGE.  We were up in the nosebleeds, but I have to say it seems like there isn't a bad seat in the place.  We could still see just fine.  For $20 seats, it was a great deal.  Glad I brought a jacket- they definitely had the A/C cranked!

Thought it was weird that I couldn't bring a water bottle in, even though it was sealed.  Also didn't like that we were forced into paying for parking; there are no other parking lots/spaces even remotely nearby.

I've been to several sports venues across the US and I can say there is nothing like The Palace of Auburn Hills.  There is a reason this building holds so many kinds of events, it's because they host them well.

Did you know that The Palace is the 2nd oldest arena in the NBA behind Madison Square Garden?  It sure doesn't look that way!!!  The architects were beyond their time to introduce so many suites and provide state of the art amenities that are still the NBA standard.

I've seen basketball, soccer, ice hockey and concerts here and I never have any complaints.  Any addition or renovation they have done to the arena has added to it's charm and character and fits into the existing design.

If there is only one complaint I have, it's the location.  Oakland county traffic is a mes to begin with and having the game day flow just adds to the congestion, I always feel like I have to leave way earlier than say a Tiger's game and I'm still rushing to get there on time.  Also being where it is, there isn't a sense of game-day.  Sure Great Lakes Crossing is right there, but nothing too walkable from the arena.

Needless to say I can't count the location against the building itself, I hope when they build the new arena here in Vegas, it will take the cues from what the Palace laid down more than 20 years ago!

I've been to the Palace for Disney on Ice shows and Pistons games, going tonight for Disney on Ice, actually.

Parking is usually $10 like people say below, sometimes it's $5 but rarely. Snacks are usually expensive too and they check your purses (women) when you go in, so don't try smuggling in any water or snacks.

    Overall an okay venue.

We have been here on three occasions now, most recently Sunday February 2nd 2013 when my Lakers were in town!!  Access to the arena is great and parking is straightforward. It was interesting this time because half of the arena had Laker fans, it was almost like a home game! The atmosphere is really good despite it being a bit of an older arena, the sidelines are good but seating a bit cramped.  it is a great time for families and all walks of life, despite a bad reputation it is very safe.  I would rather go to a basketball game then any other sport, the action is non stop and we love our annual trip to the Palace of Auburn Hills.  If you go to this arena make sure to check out Great Lakes Crossing Mall, and the Union Woodshop restaurant in nearby Clarkston.

If you're going for an event, odds are good you're going to have a good time.

They're renovating all of the suites, and have recently opened up "Club 300", which is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge party suite way upstairs...and you might think that would suck from a view perspective, but you'd be wrong.  The way it was built affords you a great view of any performance taking place, whether it's a game, concert, or something else.  Plus the two private bars up there make it really easy to get a drink.

However...it loses two stars for simple reasons that are easily correctable, should they choose to do so:

    1. The concession prices. I realize that you've got a captive audience, but that's really no excuse to charge $8 for a Bud Light, or $10 for a slightly better (but still not great) beer.  I just truly hate this practice, and I will continue dinging venues for this until they change their practices.

    2.  Groups.  This place needs to get a hell of a lot easier and more user-friendly for groups to organize events at if they're serious about wanting to attract them.  Had a group event that got all snafu'd due to a customized purchase link getting shut down earlier than expected, which led to a lot of frustrated people who couldn't buy tickets for it, and that's just not a good experience overall.  Plus, the refund process seems to be overly time consuming and slow...also not a good customer service experience.

Like I said, both of those are easily correctable...if they choose to do so.  And I hope they do, because I'd really like to be able to come back and update this review with a better experience down the road.

Of course everyone knows food/drinks r expensive but at the monster truck show they offered bottomless popcorn for $5.50 (salty) and bottomless drinks for $6 - that's an excellent prices especially if u have a lot of littles ones.

Slightly chilly so u might want to bring a jacket just in case.

Parking is usually $10 at EVERY event unless ur ticket say different.

I've seen both basketball games and concerts here. Both were great. The bathrooms were surprisingly nice. I've always been close to the stage/floor here, so I can't really comment on the top views.

I saw Rammstein at The Palace back in May with a friend. Great venue! AMAZING SHOW!!! Our seats were in the 110's section but the view was still very good. Volume was PERFECT- loud as hell for sure, especially given the act, but the sound was mixed properly and I didn't leave the concert with a splitting headache, unlike my experiences at places like The Fox and in Windsor. The pyrotechnics component of the Rammstein show was incredibly awesome in the venue.

Beer was $8 for a large cup. Expensive, but I'll let it slide because this was a show I was so looking forward to. The lady behind the counter who served me on both occasions that evening was a sweetheart. I can't recall her name, but she told me her daughter and I share the same first name...

$20 for parking was steep, but that's to be expected I guess. The seats were a tight fit so I didn't spend very much time sitting down before the concert started. Anybody over 5'5" take warning, you won't be comfortable sitting down!

I saw AC/DC here when I was like 7. It was awesome. I fell asleep in the suite we were in and  I woke up to hear them play Money Talks and there was money confetti falling from the roof. It was sweet, and now I tell everyone how  I fell asleep at an AC/DC concert. Good stories...

Just waking up from seeing Van Halen at the Palace last night.  What a show! Anyways, I wanted to share some quick tips from last night that may be useful to others attending concerts at this venue.  First off, we tried to go to the Post Bar across the street about one hour before the concert- yeah right.  No parking spots and a 2 hour wait for food meant we were not staying there.  We decided park at the Palace (15 bucks isn't all THAT bad) and see if there was anywhere to eat and drink inside.  Boy, am I glad we made that decision.  It was about 45 minutes before the opening act was supposed to go on and we basically got front row parking.  We were able to leave our coats in the car and walk to the door in less than a minute.  Once inside, we could choose from a food court type eating area with Big Boy, BW3, Hungry Howies, etc.  We could actually sit at a table and eat without a huge wait.  By the time we had a drink or two, it was time to go to our seats.   The restrooms were clean and I am thrilled to say I never had to wait in line to use the ladies room the entire night (too bad I can't say the same for the men's room).  As far as the seating is concerned, our seats were in the center of the top tier, and there were no issues seeing because of the huge video screens. The seats are way too close together to be comfortable for dancing (especially as compared to seeing a show at DTE), but we still were able to move around a little without the scorn of the show goers around us.  All in all it was a great night.

Went there to see Gun's N Roses on Dec 1, 2011.    $15 for parking for an event that we had already paid $110 for seemed a bit much for me, but you would get that anywhere.   The seats were very uncomfortable.   The staff was fairly unfriently.  Many of the ushers were older and seemed a bit cranky.

Other than that, the bathrooms were clean and the parking are was well lit.   There was plenty of security and teh vendors were somewhat friendly.

Four stars as a place to watch an MMA match.  Great seats, great facilities and nice staff.  Bathrooms were clean.  Only bummer was the restaurants weren't open. Limited food for 4-5 hour event.

Let me preface this by saying that, before I had ever attended a concert here, I was told, "Holy crap, the Palace is HUGE!". Now, I live in Ann Arbor. Less than 2 miles from Michigan Stadium. I was worried. I thought to myself, "Oh great. I'll never get out of that parking lot."

I've seen 2 concerts there so far, and I've had mixed experiences, so I'll explain the 4-star review. The first concert was Britney Spears - I won tickets from a radio station, and took one of my BFFs to the show with me. I'm not gonna lie - I sang my heart out and had an awesome time. Nicki Minaj ROCKED it, and listening to Britney was basically like listening to the radio. But that's okay. We all know Britney lip-syncs. Our seats were in the 200-somethings, and we had a great view of the stage, which surprised the HELL out of me! I was impressed. We left before the encore was over because we parked out in BFE and didn't want to wait an hour to get out of the parking lot - smartest move we made all night.

The 2nd concert I've seen there was just last week. My fiance and I went and saw the Foo Fighters there. AMAZING show, AMAZING seats, and totally worth the lack of sleep I got before work the next day. I had a bit of a run-in with an intensely drunk Jersey Shore-esque girl that I almost laid out, but that's beside the point.

The venue's surprisingly well laid out, for holding over 20k people. My "crappy" seats for Britney were actually really good, and our seats for Foo Fighters were freakin' awesome. The sound, sometimes, was a little off, but it wasn't enough to make me hate the place.

My biggest issues with the place are the following:

They need to have some sort of system to cut people off who are too drunk. Seriously. Call me a prude, but if you're only gonna be at a show for 3-5 hours, max, your liver can't process 4-8 drinks. Deal with it. It's called physiology. You shouldn't be drinking that much, then driving home.

And would someone PLEASE explain to the management of the Palace that they need to figure out a better exit system for the parking lot? Holy shiza, that's an absolute cluster. There's no reason Michigan Stadium, which holds FIVE TIMES AS MANY PEOPLE, can get people out in a matter of minutes, but the Palace has people sitting there forever. I actually saw someone get rear-ended. Man, people in this state can't drive.

Anyway, be prepared to pay high fees (Ticketmaster, yenno) for the tickets, and be prepared for the parking exit issue. But otherwise, it's a great venue for one of the massive arenas. Don't pass it up just because it's big!

The only real con for the Palace is that its super far from Detroit but its a straight shot up 75(freeway). Its a great facility overall they have put a lot of money into it. So its plenty of food, a couple bars, and a great place to take kids for Piston Games, or any other event.

Another thing I do not like about the Palace is the suites located all the way at the top of the arena are a waste. You cant see anything from up there but banners and retired jerseys.

Its a great place to attend a concert,or  a basketball game. Make sure you take some spare cash because your cost can add up. Usually, its a charge for parking but it also depends on the event. Alcoholic refreshments, concessions, and souvenirs can add up too.

    So be prepared.....

Once I came here for a Pistons game and accidentally drove into the VIP parking area right by the door.  The guy asked me if I had a VIP pass and I said no.  He just sort of shrugged his shoulders and was like "whelp" and just let me stay.  It was such a good trip I actually kept my souvenir cups to remember that day.

    Two words: Glee concert.

Oh, I can't get away with just those two words for a review? Okay. Well, this was a very clean comfortable, spacious theater/stadium. The pros? GREAT selection of food and drinks; clean bathrooms; great customer service. Cons? Getting in and out of there was a NIGHTMARE! I think it took almost as long to get out as it did for the entire duration of the show, I'm not kidding.

The sound was super loud. That could be a pro for some and a con for others. But I definitely had that ringing in my ears later that night.

This place is amazing and blows the United Center AND Soldier Field out of the water.
How you say? Well first and foremost, they sell stir-fry and freshly made sandwiches! AND the $5.50 endless super buttery popcorn!
Took my bf here for a Pistons game (which they won in overtime!! WOOT WOOT) and it was amazing. No wonder he loved coming here so much.
Also parking for only $10?! That's awesome!

The Palace will always hold fond memories for me.  I saw Sting perform here in 1988 right after it opened and two days before I moved to Washington, DC.  It was a great venue back then, and still is.

Parking is a not too pleasant experience.  You need to be aware as to where you park because at some points they will only let you exit one way and it may not be in the direction of I75.  $10 to park isn't cheap, but all the venues around the US bilk you this way.

We saw the Pistons - Bulls yesterday and they didn't suck too bad!  Pistons only lost by one lousy point in OT.  The game was exciting and the play by plays were great.  They know how to keep you entertained.   I love the Kiss Cam and Hooper, the Piston's mascot.

Yes, food is expensive, but what's one $8 beer?   A large 8pc  pepperoni pizza from Palace pizza will set you back $16, but it will save off your hunger during the event of your choosing.

I think if I had to pick a favorite Detroit venue for a concert or game this would be it.  The Comcast Center in College Park, MD is  a lot like this, only parking on the campus is a lot easier to escape from after a basketball game.

Back in my younger days, in the interest of full disclosure, I used to be a "parking cone" here.  Those eager faced high school and college students full of hope and dressed in orange taking your money (for meager wages, usually ignored, and risking life and limb as drunk drivers nearly hit them) as you enter the parking lot - I was, sort of, one of those (I've never been very eager about work).  But I was also fired from the job (turns out they don't like you totaling trucks and not reporting it) so I'm hardly biased in favor of the company that runs this venue.

That being said, The Palace is truly an amazing venue for concerts and, especially, DETROIT...BASKETBALL games.  Having lived in Chicago for over a decade, I've grown sort of used to the United Center's utilitarian presentation and typical amenities.  The Palace transcends these into an experience like few I've had.

For example, the Bulls have their bucket boys.  The Pistons have got a full drum corps that play in-between quarters and at some timeouts.  Chicago's got Benny The Bull as a mascot.  Detroit's got a crazy horse with a multicolored mohawk.  The United Center has fireworks.  The Palace has mother-f'in flames of death behind the backboards with heat that you can feel in the upper deck!  And, since the Pistons are, well, kind of awful, there are bargain tickets for a lot of games.  My brother and I got $15.00 tickets for the first row in the 200 section on Black Friday.

But, even in the "reduced price" seats, the sound and sightlines here are brilliant.  There's a reason so many artists choose here to record live albums (including The Cure; whose "Show" I was at).  The acoustics are brilliant!  The smallest squeak of sneaker can be heard in the rafters.  And the drunken idiot yelling (not me, I was the sober idiot yelling) can probably be heard on the court or stage.

However, it's the food that wins me over completely.  Concession stands?  Yeah, The Palace has those but it's also got a Fox Sports Bar, a hot dogs of the United States place (with a "Coney Dog" *and* a Chicago-style dog), and, most fascinatingly, a Big Boy with authentic, reasonably priced (at least for a stadium), burgers, shakes, and fries.  We can't even get a Big Boy in Illinois - let alone in a sport stadium here.  I think the strawberry shake was worth an extra star all by itself.

Parking is a little bit of a monopoly since the venue is out in the far north suburbs (though very easy to access off of I-75) and at $10.00, it's almost twice the price of when I worked there about 15 years ago - but still cheaper than for a Tigers game downtown.  And, hey, it helped put me through college (or at least gave me "walking around money") so maybe I'm a little immune to the price.

Now let me start by saying the only reason i didn't give this place 5 Stars is because of the drive...it is a 45 minute drive directly north on I-75 from downtown Detroit. So while the Palace is a great arena it is quite a drive to see a basketball game...but for a Pistons fans like myself it is worth it. We you arrive in Auburn Hills the stadium is right off the expresssway...the off-ramp winds around and to the right and then u go under an overpass and make a left into the spacious parking lot.

It cost about 12 bucks to park...buses and RV's cost more but all in all the parking is not to expensive. When you enter security will check you out and make sure you don't have anything your not supposed to have...LOL. If you want to buy some pistons gear the team store is directly to the right when you enter...then when your done there take a climb a couple flights of stairs...and boom your in The Palace of Auburn Hills. Now there are pretty good seats everywhere...but only great seats in certain areas.

The Stadium is clean and well maintained though and of course the a must see is the world famous public address announcer for the pistons....yes i said the public address announcer he is great. DEEEEEEEtroit  BASKET-BALL is his famous saying when the pistons have possession of the ball...and of course the Intro of the players...unmatched my friends wohooo. So if your ever in Detroit make the drive North and check out the Palace of Auburn Hills it will be worth it. Eat, Drink, and be Merry my friends!!!!

over the years i've seen no doubt, alanis morisette, sarah mclaughlin, bette midler, madonna and others here.
even when I had 10th row seats for bette midler, i wasn't very impressed with this place or the sound.  i found madonna to be much better at ford field.
this review is prompted by our recent visit to see the ringling bros circus.  the circus itself was awesome and was definetly worth the ticket price.
the venue and its workers were the worst ever!
first i walked in and asked for a ticket and the lady behind the counter just kept asking me if i wanted one, over and over.  i said i want a ticket.  she said just one.  i said i want a ticket, a ticket implies 1 ticket.
our friends were getting tickets from another lady at the same time. one of our friends happened to know the lady and she gave us a discount (that's one of the stars).
while we were buying tickets from the other woman the original ticket seller said "i didn't want to help you anyway".  excuse me?  is there any reason for you to say that?  is this not your place of employment?  i just looked right at her and said "listen, there's no reason to be such a bitch" and walked away.
so we proceeded to buy popcorn and candy and hot dogs and 20$ swords that light up and went to our seats because there was supposed to be a pre-show.  we were told not to miss it by the ticket seller.  we get to our seats and all i wanna do is sit down because my 2 yr old nephew wants to eat his hot dog.  if you've ever had a 2yr old that wants a hot dog you understand.
another woman cleaning the bleachers tells us that we must leave.  i asked if we could just sit while my nephew ate his freakin hot dog.  she yelled at us and kept asking why the others workers allowed us up in the seats.  nobody stopped us when we went to the seats.
we were sent down to be corraled into an area roped off until they were done.  now if you have to clean up and you need more time, why did you sell us tickets?  why did you let us come into the show area?  why did the vendors sell us all that food and merchanise?
so i went and sat at some tables and let my nephew eat.  we were again told by many different employees to go into the roped off area.  and many time confirmed with gritted teeth that my nephew was gonna eat his god-damned hot dog.  thank you very much.
    not the best experience ever.
    love, juston

I used to come here a lot when I was little.  Back in the days of the Vipers and such.  I have some great memories with this place...such as the guy who would sell you these icey lemonade serbert things and he'd give you more money in change than you gave him in the first place....or the time I was like 6 and wore all my "jewelry" because we were going to a basketball game and I wanted to look fancy, but instead some of my rings fell off into the gentleman's drink under our balcony seat...ah there are so many more.  Great landmark to bring visitors to...and good events to go yourself.

Gotta love the Palace of Auburn Hills, although after visiting other arenas around the US, I must admit it can be better. I came up here a couple of weekends ago to attend a Shock game. We ended up with court-side seats and literally sat right next to the basketball rim. It was a great experience being so close (although I am not necessarily a fan of the WNBA). Being court-side, service is also pretty quick as well. I didn't have to go out to the concessions...they came to me. I kind of felt like a celebrity! LOL. Overall, I enjoyed my experience...and I know for sure the Pistons games are even more fun.

The Palace of Auburn Hills is definitely a great venue for whatever the event; Pistons or Shock game, concert, children's entertainment, etc. The Palace offers tons of parking and is extremely clean compared to other venues that host such events. There is plenty to purchase from the concession stands and there's even a store that sells Pistons gear specifically. They have the cutest baby tee's for women. I've got one that says "Chauncey Billups is my other man". The Palace (when they are hosting a Piston's game) offer special family packages. While every person won't be able to afford floor tickets it's nice to know a family of four can still enjoy an evening of sporting spectator-ship at a reasonable price.

The Palace is definitely one of the best places to watch a basketball game.  It's set up well, it's clean, and it's a fun time.  Even in the upper bowl, you can still have a pretty good seat.  I've sat everywhere... from the last row (we quickly moved to open seats towards the front of the upper deck)... to a number of suites on different levels... to right behind the Pistons bench on the court (one of the perks of working for Fox Sports).  Obviously a good suite or court side is premier seating, but the Palace still offers an enjoyable time to those who cannot afford such luxuries (or those who just haven't gotten lucky).

Not only is the Palace a great place to see the game, but it's actually a good arena for concerts.  Yes, it's more fun to watch a concert in a smaller, more intimate venue, but for a "blockbuster" concert, the Palace is actually a good venue.  Again, pretty much any seat in the house is at least pretty good, the acoustics work, and somehow it just all works well.

My last comment is that not only do I like the inside of the Palace, but also I love the building.  It's especially beautiful when all lit up at night.  It's really quite the sight.

    deeeeetroit basket-ball!

I love going to the palace... I just wish it was closer and a drive up 75 wasn't necessary, but I guess it's worth it to see the 'stones.

For being a sports arena, the Palace is a pretty clean place. The seats are squishy and comfortable (well the lower deck ones that I've sat in). We also had a waitress that brought us food and drinks-- I love when places promote laziness! It did take awhile and I almost gnawed off my left hand, but that's the price I pay for not getting up and getting it myself.

My favorite part about the Palace.. they have DIPPIN' DOTS! I don't know what it is about space ice cream in banana split flavor proving it to be one of those things that make you go mmmmm.

Parking isn't bad-- in a sense where no matter where you park, you won't have that far of a walk. I just wish there were cheaper parking options close by.

Reader beware: this review is biased due to this Yelper's obsession with all things Detroit Pistons. Should such admissions deter you, gentle reader, from reading, such risk is one happily accepted by this Plebian Elitist.

It is v. difficult to separate one's impression of the Palace vs. the experience of attending a Pistons game on their own floor. In my humble opinion, they are one and inseparable. But for those who want to know about the venue itself, here are some deets to keep you happy.

The Palace is located in Auburn Hills, a suburb of Detroit. There aren't too many ways to get there so subsequently the traffic is horrific. Expect to pay $10 in cash for parking (it didn't look like the dudes took credit card). Despite the huge influx of cars, parking was plentiful and we had but a short walk, rather than be loaded onto a bus and driven what feels like miles.

Once inside, it's your typical sports venue - big crowds, acceptable restrooms, overpriced food (sigh). Even in the very last row (as we were - double sigh), we had a good view of the court and the Jumbotron filled in when the folks in front of us stood up from time to time. There also seems to be more security here than other venues but given the fallout from the Malice at the Palace, that isn't really much of a surprise.

And now, the game. Ahhh, the game. The Pistons have an incredible player introduction with one of the best, if not the best, announcer in the league, Mason. He has a unique way of introducing the players and when each member of the starting lineup is announced, flames come shooting out of the top of the baskets. Mason will also let loose periodically with things like "Deeetrooot basketball!" but has the good sense to do it only when it's appropriate, and not ALL frigging game long, which is more than I can say for some announcers. The game I watched was against the Spurs, and the atmosphere was positively electric.

    Yay, go Pistons!

(Note: this review was written prior to the untimely end of the Pistons 2007-2008season, which resulted in the firing of the coach and a promised blowup of the team by Joe Dumars. This Yelper will now reserve a moment of silence and frustration for this very unfortunate turn of events.)

My first memory here was when I got perfect attendance in middle school and got to watch Kriss Kross perform out on the court with a then ailing Pistons team.

Then another year I got to see 112 open for Janet Jackson in some good seats.

I also saw.  (ahem) barenakeladies (ahem) but let's not talk about that...

My favorite time is when I got to see the Pistons beat the Cavs when I was pregnant last year.  Brewed a little Pistons fan in me!  I get why they call the Pistons a fourth quarter team, though.  The fans were not hype at all during the first three quarters.  You could hear the Cavs fans louder than the Pistons fans.  Now that's a shame.

I've been to the Palace quite a bit, and it's a great place for a variety of events.

I've seen the Pistons there a dozen or so times and have always been pleased with the facility. The seats I remember were the only thing I wasn't happy with; down near the court, we always got folding chairs instead of the sort of theater-style chairs in the upper deck. Little did I know then that the folding chair seating was actually the more expensive of the two. Go figure!

I've also been to multiple shows here. There's a few things I can remember about them:
Get main floor above all costs. I mean, who wants sit in a seat and watch a show when they can be on the main floor? It's so much worse in these big arena scenarios. Also, their security is pretty beefy, and though you may think you're slick enough to sneak by... you're so not. I know from experience.

I think the bands bring their own sound and also plug into the house sound system. If you've ever been to a Pistons' playoff game, multiply that 10x and that's how loud it is. Bring ear plugs!

Drinks, like games, are expensive. Get a friend with big pants to bring some.

I remember security using laser pointers to pinpoint people smoking... whatever they were smoking. Leave it at home!

That's all I can say, really. My parking experience was just fine - so much better than DTE. If you see a show here, good for you. It'll be a good time for sure.

We traveled 13 hours by car to see the Boston Celtics defeat the Pistons in Game 3 of the 2008 Eastern Conference Finals.  I was impressed by the Palace at Auburn Hills.

This clean, classy, fun-pack stadium has much to offer with food, drinks and entertainment. That's more than I can say for Pistons fans.  A+ Stadium, C+ fans.  If you're a fan and your team is still in the game, you don't leave the stadium in herds with 8 minutes to go.

Support your team and enjoy the Palace.

I came to the Palace to watch a Pistons game. Thank god I was not driving because the parking seemed very chaotic! But we found a spot and made our way inside.

It was really clean and nice, even with the crowds in the general areas. We had nose bleed seats and I was disappointed that I really couldn't see the game or action from there. Not only that, I felt like the whole area around me was sticky.

If I came to watch a game again I would have to get closer seats to make it worthwhile. I would hightly recommend that to anyone. Or else you can just go to a bar and get a very good view off the television.

There is plenty of accessible food and beer here, so if your hungry don't worry. Also they have plenty of people coming to your seats to sell beer.

After the game leaving the parking lot was not so painful as I thought. They directed the traffic out pretty quickly.

i have been here for concert and the Detroit Vipers games witch no loner exist, for a big venu it has good sound, the bad thing is i payed like 45 or 50 bucks for the who to sit in the way back where i could hardly see them , so unless you get good seat thats cost allot  you wont be able to see that well unless its awesome band like Eric Clpaton and the who to name 2 bands i have seen there.  or someone i have wanted to see for a long time hardly ever come to town i avoid going to concerts here i like small venues
