I flew into New York from Florida to see my cousins and we all decided to go to an up-and-coming Hookah bar. The hookah itself was average but the environment was less than uncomfortable. The employees/owners were too close-to-comfort with us. They kept hitting on me and my cousins with shameless pick-up lines such as you have "a sexy complexion." Â We just wanted to have a good time, not have 30-year-olds hitting on us. We had just met them, yet they had the gall to ask minors out and offer them rides. Before we left for home, I stayed awhile longer and I could see the same guys that were talking to us, were exchanging phone numbers with other girls.
And the place was completely empty at first, but around midnight-it was swamped with St. John's students. Which makes sense since, the bar is a 5 minute walk from the school. I told my friend, a student at St. John's, about it and she told me that she had seen the same Cloud Nine employees passing out flyers around campus while flirting with girls. After she told me this, she frequently saw the same guys take out different female students who were usually naive freshman girls. This place is anything but Cloud Nine, the place is run by a bunch of swine. If I could I would give this place no stars.
