My family went to O Lavrador for my birthday and loved the place. Â I think it was our first time in a Portuguese restaurant. Â
The food, service and atmosphere were excellent.  The only caveat is that we had a <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2FRestaurant.com&s=0aab4cbd731f3d3b0d1453050d3abc56a8c80bd214e25469c7555b750dca8a51" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://Restaurant.com</a> gift certficatate and could not order the $20 price fix specials and had to order a la carte.
My wife and I shared one of the seafood paellas, while my son and his girl friend each had a grilled steak with ham and egg.  We all started with grilled calamari appetizers. Â
A pitcher of peach sangria was shared by all of us.
We are certain to go back.  We have to try the $12 lunch specials.  Of course, we can't use the <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Frestaurant.com&s=c5fe485af4df376130bee54f875814d79c4d7913e1258123b1206d2bdbf4873b" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://restaurant.com</a> certificates.
This is a stylish and genuine Portuguese restaurant, with a great selection of iberian and latino dishes and drinks. Â The staff was charming, kind and helpful, with special mentions going to Ms Chica and Messrs. Caesar and Raimundo. Â It's close to JFK and a great place to spend a delightful last evening before flying on.
