DO NOT RECOMMEND
If you absolutely are passionate about dancing and that is all you love to do (and not just drinking) . . .plus like being a part of a good looking crowd
- DO NOT COME HERE!!
If you like to get your money's worth for a night out
- DO NOT COME HERE!!
On the other hand . . . .
IF YOU ARE A WALLFLOWER (BOY OR GIRL) and ONLY LIKE STANDING AROUND AND DRINKING LIKE A LOSER, YOU ARE LACKING IN CONFIDENCE, AND/OR YOU ARE UGLY AND LIKE LOOKING AT OTHER UGLY PEOPLE - WELL COME RIGHT ON IN! - you will feel right at home.
WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN! Â THEY SUCK! Â They used to not charge a cover charge and that has changed. Â My husband and I had not had a date night in years and this was our attempt at trying to get that going again. Â He unfortunately suggested this place. Â As we got to the door the guy just quietly under his breath muttered something about $10 to my husband, almost like it was a secret, so I was like "what?" and before I knew it my husband handed him a $20, so I was sure he was going to give us $10 back in change, thinking there was no freakin way they were charging $10 per person. Â This was already at 1 am on a Saturday night and of course lo and behold just my luck there is almost no one dancing on the floor, just like 4 people in a corner who are in a small private party. Â Â I got all dressed up for this s**t?! Â This freakin' place should pay me to come in there! Â I have been here before a long time ago when there was no cover charge way back when and the atmosphere inside was still LAME. Â I'm serious they really should pay people to come in - they have no business charging anyone.
I love to dance and I mean I can really get down, and really was looking forward to doing that. Â You can't do that at this place without everyone just staring at you like you are crazy or completely drunk. Â People don't dance like that here, plus the place does not have that many people there at any given time. Â You just can't simply blend into the crowd and get your groove on because
THERE IS NO CROWD! Â NO PARTY ATMOSPHERE. Â
I kept waiting for it to get more crowded and it never did. Â At any given time there were like 6 people max dancing and other than that - it was just me on the dance floor. Â Some people may like being the center of attention, but I just wanted to be a part of a crowd of people having a good time and you will not find that here. Â Also do not understand why the music is so loud. Â Its is such a small place and there is no need to blast people's ear drums. Â You can't carry a conversation in here at all. Â So you can't dance, you can't talk, and for those that are looking - there is not much to see, so what can you do here? Â Nothing - you are better off at home in front of the TV. Â
I'm sorry my husband mentioned this place to me, it was an attempt just to get back into going out again slowly without completely immersing ourselves in a heavy too young club crowd. Â This place really was a waste of time. Â We didn't order any drinks because I refuse to give them another dime of our money. Â After seeing how upset I was (and still am) my husband knows better than to ever mention this place to me again! Â Waste of a night. Â Â
Why, you ask do I hate them so much? Â To summerize, It is not a party atmosphere inside, very dull for a Saturday night, completely lacking in every way and they should not charge to come into a place where there is nothing to do.
I sorely dislike hanging out/partying in Queens and this is another shit-hole of a bar. I guess I would only come here and go out of my way to visit family/friends who desire going here just to hang out.
The service is pretty good and I really didn't have to wait long for a drink. However, if you're your really bored of the atmosphere because of the wanna-be DJ's that they have at these bar/lounges, then it's really not worth your time. There is a bar/club/lounge on practically every block in the South Ozone/Richmond Hill/Jamaica area, so this definitely not the place to be.
