Air Bar

What a great add to the travel experience!!   This tiny little bar next to the Airtrain has great service with a smile, nice music, great drink selection, and interesting clientele.  I love popping by here if I have an extra 20 mins or something before the next LIRR train home to the city.

I had no idea this place was open til about a month ago. I think I complained in my Jamaica LIRR review that there wasn't a bar to go to and drink while you waited and duh this place has been open over a year now. This is located in the Air Tran terminal, not inside the Jamaica LIRR wait room. There is also a cafe right next to it. Both are open very late at night but I'm not sure if its 24 hours.  Prices are decent but don't expect any prize winning drinks. The bartenders seemed bored and it took a while for one of them to take my drink order. Again this is a huge upgrade over sitting in the wait room or platform for your train. So I can not complain.

Great place, especially in the area. Prices are a little steep, but the portions are huge. Nice staff. Definitely be back when i'm in the area.
