One late Sunday afternoon, we stopped by to check this place out and have a beer. Â It's a small basic bar. Â Mexican soccer was playing on the TV and they had a small selection of beers (Mexican and American light beers). Â The best part was that two mariachi players arrived and played while we were there. Â Definitely liked the uniqueness of this place (under the 5 freeway in a neighborhood filled with industrial buildings, Mariachi players, and interesting clientele. Â Plus it's pretty close to where I live. Â I'll give it a try again, maybe to watch a Tijuana match and practice my Spanish.
Review Source:Wow well what can i say about Club 13 it's everything you would expect from looking at it from the outside. A small dive bar, with a couple of characters sitting at the bar and cheap drinks!
A friend invited me to Club 13 for the first time a couple of weeks ago to celebrate her mom's bday who happens to work there... It was interesting to say the least, that night on a Tuesday i believe they had a DJ but i think it was only for the special occasion. The juke box had a really good selection of music in Spanish like Mana, Jaguares, and a bunch of rancheras... I like my rock en espanol so i really enjoyed it.
There's some parking in the back, the few times i have been here i always seem to find a spot. It doesn't seem to get super crowded... Down sides...lol there's only one restroom and they don't take plastic, they do have an ATM machine inside and all they serve is beer no alcohol, bummer. But the beer is cheap like 2.50 or 3 bucks pretty good deal.
The times I've been here i have gone with a few friends... I'm the kind of person who can have fun any where i go especially if i go with friends. Â I like this spot for what it is a dive bar. If you go in here expecting anything else you might leave disappointed...
