Cluckers -- makes you want to crow like a rooster or cluck home?
While I haven't tried the individual meals, the family meal made me want to cluck home.
We got the whole chicken, side of potatoes and beans. It seemed really expensive for what we got.
It's not that the food was bad. It was average. Nothing blew us away. And for the price, I can get an $8 turkey from Jewel and some quick sides for a fraction of the cost.
This place seems more suited for an individual looking for lunch or dinner. And I'm not ready to write off this place. I'll come back and try an individual plate and report back. But as far as feeding the family, they're asking for way too much money for what you get.
My wife and I live right down the street from Clucker's and finally figured that we'd try it last week. Â We ordered a whole chicken, mashed potatoes and red beans and rice. Â All for about $22. Â The chicken was awesome and the red beans didn't even need rice. Â I could eat those beans all day. Â
We ordered online and the food was to the house in about 35 minutes (but, like I said, we live right down the street). Â I will definately be ordering Cluckers again.
