I been going to Crystal since 2008 maybe earlier. Always have fun. Live latin bands then switch to Dj for new music mature crowd, no ghetto ppl. A lot hot women. never seen a fight or drunk people. is the place you go to have fun, or intimate in a dark corner.
they have 2 bars, alot tables, couches, and a nice space to dance. last time I went is just $10 Â men.
Big parking too
Great Friday Salsa Night! Â Though they played a little bit of everything but mainly Salsa. Â I like that ladies are free before 10pm bc money is a little tight right now... Â Men are $10. Â Pitchers of Sangria are $30 which seemed reasonable but I make it better (I always say that). Â The reason why I liked C's so much is that it wasnt crowded and the age range seemed a bit more 30-40's which is a mature crowd.
Review Source:In a weird twist of fate, I went here for New Years, so this is strictly from that point of view. Â I get into the place and head upstairs. Â I take a look to the left and see some old school carpeting and a 70s type look and feel. Â Looking to the right I see some pretty big ballroom that seems nice enough. Â I hook a right and walk in. Â Everyone is about 50 years old and there's also maybe 10-15 kids running around playing power rangers or some other tribal battle to the death game. Â I couldn't really tell. Â Some of em were crying though. Â I head back to the hostess thinking i've made a terrible mistake and give our group's name. Â There was a little mixup with tickets that took a while to sort out, but no biggie. Â It turns out we're actually in the other lounge area. Â
I get a better look now and there's a huge dancing area and tables cramped up on top of each other on a terrace. Â The crowd here is also late 30s and early 40s. Â That's okay. Â To the bar I go. Â Bartender must have seen the look on my face cause she poured a murderous drink. Â Anyway, I wound up having a pretty good time. Â They had a good food spread and they were on point with the open bar drinks. Â Going with an entertaining group also made it fun. Â Strictly from a salsa dancing perspective, I can see this place being a fun time if that's what you're looking for. Â The crowd is definitely older (mid to late 30s with some rando 40+ creepers). Â So don't drag this down too far if you're into salsa dancing. Â It will not disappoint. Â If you're not specifically looking to dance salsa all night then there's no real reason to come here and you should avoid.
i was there with a group of friends last saturday night. from the outside it doesnt look much cause is under construction. we decided to early around 10 cause they close at 2am and it its website states drink specials b4 11pm and it wasnt true. spoke to server about what the site said and he said hasnt updated. the music was great and even though the crowd we had a good time
Review Source:Love this local spot. A good salsa spot in Jersey is hard to come across. An added bonus is the live band! Even if you don't dance, you could enjoy the crowd. Great for people-watching, and lots of seating for a lounge-y feel. Drinks are cheap ($4 for a cocktail/liquid courage), and they offer table service. What I appreciated best was 1) when the band is on break, the DJ plays top 40 & dance music which caters to those who don't dance salsa. 2) my first time coming here, I was reluctant because I'm not Hispanic (but I can salsa!), but there was not a single ounce of judgmental sentiment. I've since brought friends who've brought their friends, and everyone always walks out with aching feet and smiling faces
