Pretty crappy experience even for an airport. Â The place is huge and the service was slow even though it was a quarter full. Â The food was a step below mediocre but edible hence the two stars. Â I had a Buffalo Chicken sandwich. Â The chicken tasted like those Buffalo Chicken strips you buy in the freezer section at the supermarket and the bun was many days old. Â The fries might have been okay. Â I would definitely avoid this place. Â There has to be somewhere better to eat at O'Hare.
Review Source:Left a $1 tip on a 30 dollar bill. Got there around 9 pm and there was about 5 tables with customers. This lady waitress messed up my order, did not fill my water not once during the hour I spent there, did not respond to my multiple thank-you's n simply walked away everytime.
I dropped 30+ bux in that place and I wouldn't be this upset if at least their food would have been good. The buffalo chicken sandwich was stale and soggy and their spinach salad was flavorless n the opposite of fresh. If you have the money to spend here, do yourself a favor and go to chillis down the gate hall.
Nice alternative to waiting to eat at Chili's or Wolfgang Puck's when waiting on a flight in Terminal 3. Â They have a variety of Summit beers to save you from the average tap swill. Â Recommend the Chicken Peach Panini sandwich; the first bite immediately brought me back to summers as a kid when we'd cook canned peach or apple pie filling in between two pieces of white bread over a campfire using those little cast iron pie makers. Â The bartendar was attentive and getting a beer and food was a quick process (as once would hope for in an airport).
Review Source:I could've swore the waitress gave me the finger.
I only ended up here during my layover from Vegas to Michigan and I was completely hungry and I wanted to check out the latest Tim Tebow segment on Sportscenter. So I just saw this place and took a seat.
I originally had an older gentleman who gave me a menu, but then a couple minutes later a pretty distraught woman in her mid 20's just seemed to be disgusted by my presence in this facility ended up being my waitress. Â I don't think she spoke English well, or just didn't want to bother helping me out with an order, but I ended up paying $10 for 3 pieces of french toast and some fruit. Â The service was insanely slow and I literally watched my whole Tim Tebow 13 minute segment without getting any attention from the waitress in a near empty restaurant.
I won't be coming here ever again, just thinking about this place makes me grinds my gears.
This wasn't even that much of a review, but rather a rant. Â Eff that woman and the horse she rode in on.
I've only been here in the early morning (before 8am), but their mimosas are always delicious, food is great and service is outstanding! All airport food is pricey but this place is actually decent. The only drawback: in the morning they only have a few staff members working so wait during the rush after big flights can be annoying.
Review Source:Looks better from a distance. Had some time to kill and hungry and didn't want a fast food option. Bar keep was on older fella and a bit grumpy. I don't do grumpy and actually asked him why he was grumpy  and that was the last thing he ever thought would come out of his mouth. His attitude changed after that. I have issue with restaurants/bars who service guests that they most likely will never ever see again. The service level really seems to drop to that of the Department of Motor Vehicle.
Anywho, I digress. Ordered a burger and asked for a better option than a starch and grumpy suggested a Caesar salad which was nice. Salad came out in like 90 seconds which was nice but wasn't tossed which I don't like. Burger was decent and bun decent as well, but nothing to write home about.
Meal sufficed but a burger, beer and glass of wine for near $40. Eh, your in an airport and like complaining about an $8 beer at a NFL game - it is what it is.
In Terminal 3, my wife and were deciding between Chili's and O'Hare. We opted for O'Hare. We sat down at a nice table next to the window and reminisced about our 2 1/2 day trip to Chicago. (Awesome) I ordered a Budweiser to start while we ordered and chatted.
I ordered the chicken and pear panini and a side Caesar instead of the fries and she didn't charge me extra. Plus one. Our server was super nice and checked on us often. My wife got the vegetable soup.
After about ten minutes they came out and I quickly chomped on the pickle spear. Man, I love pickles, good stuff. The Caesar wasn't too goopy with dressing and had plenty on shredded Parmesan on top. It was iceberg lettuce, but what are you gonna do?
My panini was lightly buttered on each side and had plenty of chicken and the pear flavor was pleasant, not overwhelming, but I could tell it was there. Nice size sandwich that filled me up since I had one McDonald's parfait in the morning and a can of sardines I had left over from Walgreen's for breakfast. About 300 total calories and we walked about 5 miles since we had breakfast, and after 40 minutes on the elliptical machine at the hotel, so I was running on fumes and getting sleepy from lack of calories.
I ordered a second Bud to compliment the second half of my sandwich and it made for a great airport lunch. Very relaxing and overall a great lunch.
My wife loved her vegetable soup bowl, it was pretty big for $5. For the two of us, it was $41 for 2 big beers, my sandwich, and the soup and tip, and tax. Not bad for an airport lunch away from the hoi polloi while we waited for our flight.
On a side note, American Airlines sucks. We arrived 2 hours early and there was a flight leaving when we got there in a half an hour that would have gotten us home 1 1/2 hours early and they wouldn't even let us wait to see if the flight was full and we could sit in 2 extra seats if they had them. The gate attendant didn't want anything to do with us to help us out. They wanted $50 a piece just to get on the earlier flight. So you had extra spots obviously, but we couldn't wait around on standby? Man they suck.
I would hit this place again, but we did notice a Macaroni Grill closer to the gate we would have gone to if we had known about it.
I fly in and out of O'hare quite a bit and always find myself killing time at the O'Hare Bar & Grill. Â It's a nice open restaurant. Â If you get a table by the window you can watch the planes go in and out & get loaded. Â It's always so refreshing to see baggage handlers tossing around luggage like it's a football, warms my heart really. Â The service is always very quick and the bar & grill. Â On my last trip this week I got the jumbo shrimp cocktail and the shrimp were huge and very fresh & good. Â This is prime spot also for people watching, which I'm quite a fan of. Â "Oh she looks like she's in a hurry" "what in the he!! is he thinking wearing those"......come on I know i'm not the only one. Â Ok so back to the Bar & Grill. Â The food is really good, typical pub fare for the most part. Â The prices are "eh", not the cheapest but they're for sure reasonable for being in an airport. Â I'd recommend this to anyone and I'm sure I'll be back soon.
Review Source:There was a point between my first drink and my food where I think the server just forgot about me. It was about 15 minutes, that's pretty unacceptable. I saw her look at me, do the "oh shit" look, and go to the kitchen window and ask where my panini was. It magically appeared right after that.
Sandwich was dismal, sounded good (chicken with pears), but it definitely had two halves of a bartlett pear from a can squished in (not even sliced). The chicken was dry and overspiced. Fries were ok.
For $15 for a sandwich, fries and coke, it's not in the "cheap eats" category.
Overall, pretty disappointing food, and absolutely unacceptable service.
Food and service are average, the TVs are terrible (it's 2010, upgrade to flat-panels already) and there are no pa speakers so you can't hear gate announcements. Poor planning on O'Hare Bar and Grill's part as well as American Airlines (the worst airline on the planet, by the way).
I have yet to find a stellar meal at any airport...my search continues.
Would I come here again?  Yes.  Yes.  Yes.  And since my first review, I've returned 5 times despite my less than average opinion of this place but it's growing on me!  Why?  It's easy to access, located on the corner with access into the restaurant on each end plus 2 sit down bars, plenty of seating tables, and an "order to go" booth where it literally took 7 minutes for my omelet to be in my hands.  For airport food, this place delivers and let's face it, where else can you  get an omelette like this at O'Hare?
Review Source:Sucks. Flat out worst location if you have food allergies. I asked our waiter if the soup had dairy or gluten in it. He rudely said he didn't know. I said I have food allergies & asked if he could ask the cook. He was even more annoyed & acted like I was asking if I could have his car, house, and first born. At that point I said never mind & ordered fries. BTW, they were not busy. My daughter who has no food allergies ordered a quesadilla. She liked it. Kinda hard to go wrong with that, no? The knife she got was dirty. Fries were served hot and ok.
Review Source:Long layover and opted for lunch here vs. one of  the many chains available.
Tried the greek salad, and was a first to have one with canned black olives vs. kalamata.
I had planned to spend some time after my salad with a couple beers but was told by the waitress that she had to clock out and could I please finish up.... I would suggest looking elsewhere for a beer and a bite.
OK...as far as places to eat in airports in general I usually always decline. But considering that I usually am always delayed in Chicago due to my final destination being Marquette, MI. I would have to say that this place has excellent food for being inside a airport, granted the staff could be a little bit more courteous...maybe I was a bit bitter because the  bartender was more googly eyed over the hottest chick at the bar then making sure my drink was tended too...and Christ I was only drinking corona's. But besides that...I mean I was checking her out too...this place is a good place to stop get a good meal and descent service in between flights or on layovers.
Review Source:For an airport restaurant this fills a niche. A very simple breakfast menu of about 8 omelets. Omelets about $8-$10.
Weak coffee. Tables and seating with a real waiter.
All eggs come with potatoes. No rye toast, just wheat or white.
Polish immigrant waiter was kind to but he was half-asleep.
$36 for 3 people with two coffees, after tax but before tip.
