So this is my local bar so understand that I may be partial. Â From the outside this place looks like a run down place, gravel parking lot, and very small driveway. Â Do not let that fool you. Â The wings and food are amazing, the beer selection is actually decent and i think there is roughly 20 different TVs setup around the bar to watch just about every game available. Â The staff is great and are pretty easy to talk to when the place isn't crazy. Â If you want a seat go early, otherwise expect to wait as seating is first come first serve
Review Source:This place blows. There drafts are always good beers... But they don't know how to take care of there kegs. Shit beer. Flat. Always. There bartenders are rude. Ignorant. And for some reason on Fridays they won't accept my GOVERNMENT ISSUED identification. So if your lookin for a night out go to stadium in Andalusia. There bartenders are hotter and there service won't leave you waiting for a drink for thirty five minutes
Review Source:Much better experience then the State Rd location. The location is better, staff is friendly, service is faster.
Went here for their Wednesday night wings with some friends.
The wings came out in just a few minutes and were great. Our waitress was on top of our drinks and clearing our plates.
Would def go back here again.
The only thing good about this place are the wings. I don't even eat wings, and I still thought they were good. The bartenders are HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! The meanest in Bensalem.
I could give you many stories, but to keep it short I'll mention only one. My wife and I went there after our wedding (It was down the street from the ceremony) as an after party idea with some family and friends. I was in my tux and my wife was in her dress still. We get to the bar (excited), and the bartender says "what can I get you?" Â Â I respond with "we just got married!!" Â I know it was obvious, but I was excited dammit. LOL Â The bartender responded "Well I hope you guys don't expect free drinks"
I didn't even ask!!!! Â
P.S. They do have one live band that plays there (I think on Fridays) that's really good. They play great covers and originals. They're called Dirty Robots.
The original Curran's is on State Road, in Tacony. Â This Curran's, on Bristol Pike, opened up in 2007. Â Now, as someone who loves dive bars, this is not anywhere in that category. Â I'm just a frequent customer when it comes to this place because I live so close by.
The place doesn't have a huge bar. Â Don't get me wrong, it's a long bar. But they could have layed out the bar better, maybe a wrap-around bar, to accommodate more stools. Plus, the bar has 2 video game machines on it, which kind of eat up a little room.
The beer prices are pretty decent here, better than you'd expect. Not a huge selection on tap, but most of the customers drink Coors Lights or Miller Lites, especially the regulars. I've never ordered a mixed drink here, so not sure about those prices.
When it comes to the food, they've got some winners. Â The wings are very good - especially the garlic wings. Â You have to ask for them, they're not on the menu. Â And another tip - I'm not a fan of their steak fries, so be sure to ask for curly fries, or shoe string fries. Â But, they have a solid selection to pick from, otherwise. Â And, the bartenders and wait staff are all cool to deal with.
Overall, it's a really good spot. Â Like I said, I'm a bigger fan of dive bars, which is why I gave this place 4 out of 5 stars.
