I love this place. It's not much to look at but it's clean inside and the food is fantastic. Best Chinese food in Ronkonkoma. The servings are enormous.
We just LOVE Dah Lee. Â We have been eating there for about 7 years now. Â Cute little place for a cozy sit down meal or quick take-out. Â We find that they never make mistakes on orders. Â Everything is always in the bag on take-out. Â I would give them 5 stars, but some of the dishes can be a bit bland, although most I've tried are pretty good. Â Their eggrolls are okay, but could stand to be crispier. Â Soups are pretty good. Â The plus is that the dishes are never oily. Â I like that a lot. Â Average in price. Â Fast service. Â Always friendly. Â They serve alcohol, too. Â Overall, a lovely little place.
Review Source:I've lived in Ronkonkoma for 14 years and always drive past this place. Finally went there for lunch today and it was a great. A throwback to what Chinese restaurants were when I grew up in the seventies. Not many Chinese restaurants left that aren't buffets or primarily take out. This place has real waitress service. Â The food was great for $7.25 for lunch you get Won Ton soup which was excellent, an egg roll, main dish and rice and ice cream served in the silver bowls like I remember in my youth. Â Highly recommend this place if you are looking for an old school Chinese experience.
Review Source:I just moved to the neighborhood and saw Dah Lee around the corner from where we live. We ordered delivery. They came in 17 minutes. Which was great. I had the sweet and sour chicken and my boyfriend has the general tso's chicken which he usually gets at any chinese place. The meal was great, not oily or too anything. I recommend it. Not to expensive either.
Review Source:Dah Lee Restaurant of Church Street is a fine place for a quick glass of the spirits: Dewars, rocks. Â And Crab Rangoon. Â They have a designated cocktail lounge with a bar that sits about eight, a great scene with the locals picking up their take-out orders. Â The food is pretty good too, it used to be my regular spot when I lived in these parts.
My companion was impressed, and told the man at the bar: "Now that I know you are here, I'm gonna come here again. . .. " Â Ha!
