Well well well.. Here I am finally posting about Momo's Sport Bar in Holbrook. What can I say except... I love it. Again this is a location we found from my girlfriends http://restaurants.com coupon deals via her job. Â We decided to give it a shot. Krysta and I are from the Smithtown / Kings Park area so this tends to be a little out of our way but we gladly take the 15 - 20 minute drive at least once ever week or two to enjoy this place. From our first time we came to see that the employees are happy and welcoming, making sure to ask you your names and get to know a bit about you. Â Very much a current "cheers". As you would expect from a sports bar plenty of televisions and places to sit. Has Murphy's Law garage door entrance to allow plenty of fresh air in and expand its seating to the side walk. Â Now that first night there we immediately met the owner, who was cheery and welcomed us into his second home. Recommended meals and drinks, even provided us with free drinks and shots and samples. We started off with the wings.. Fabulous.. Unlike many sports bars on long island they have all switched suppliers and are going with the smaller and less meaty chicken wing which is usually very disappointing. Greg, the owner, explained he refuses to change them as a wing fan himself knows the benefit of happy customers, and even uses them for his bars wing nights. We had the Garlic Parmesan wings... Excellent crispy and full of flavor but not greasy or overcooked. We followed up with the recommended MoMo Burger. Â Which was large and delectable. They even had tater tots which I have to admit was a quick return to my childhood but still oh so delicious, air-y and crisp. Â Excellent taps and drink specials. It has quickly become our favorite place to come and relax... They even have a bartender who looks surprisingly a lot like Amanda Seyfried ( Dumb blonde from mean girls or more recently the female lead in Les Miserables ). Â Overall this place is a must visit for all sports fan or people who are just looking for a good night out with good people.
GO GO GO!
Also they have frequent customer type card that earns points per dollar yields coupons and even sporting goods... How cool lol..
The bartender was great, she came around and greeted us took our drink order and gave us time to look over the menu.
The Order: Nachos, Three ap sampler, The Lundqvist.
The food came out a bit slow, but there is a lot going on so you dont really notice it.
The Nachos are big enough for two and so full of flavor, a little spicy but so good. The three ap sampler is also very good, we threw in a wrench ordering potato skins and two orders of fried ravioli, this was fine with the bartender, and the food was great. Potato skins had a good amount of cheese and bacon on every skin. On to the burger WOW. The best burger I have ever had at a bar!
The service was great everytime my sprit got to the half the bartender filled it, mind you with a busy bar!
I will be back 100%!!!
