Nice outside seating but it goes downhill from there. Â It wasn't even that busy but taking forever to get drinks. Â Our first appetizer took over 20 minutes and it was the wrong one. She took it away and eventually came back and told us that was the appetizer for a another table. While waiting for the correct appetizer another waitress came by to deliver the food for another table that we didn't order. She went table to table asking. Almost 30 minutes later our first appetizer arrives. Not too bad, but spinach dip shouldn't take this long though. The raw oysters and fish sandwiches were good too. It continued to take at least 10 minutes to get our drinks each time we ordered. Â There seems to be real issues with putting in orders and getting food and drinks out to the correct tables at this restaurant. Â Also despite the name change and new sign nothing has been updated in years at this place, but grungy is what I remembered from my last visit 4 years ago so it wasn't unexpected. The kitchen made decent food but with the service being so slow I won't be going back here unless I am really craving frozen daiquiris and sitting around a bunch of drunk people smoking cigarettes for hours.
Review Source:Pleasantly surprised. Â I came here for dinner and a few draught beers on a random (rather slow) Thursday night in April and was pleasantly surprised . Â If you're looking for swanky decor and culinary innovation, then find yourself a different divey beach bar. Â If you seek surprisingly solid bar food (grouper sandwiches, mahi mahi tacos and jerk chicken specialities) and cold beer at a reasonable price with swift service, then you're in luck.
Our server was prompt and from eats to libations, the price was right. Â 4 stars.
This is a very interesting bar. I like a lot about it- the jukebox, live bands, the pool tables and games, the premise, the deck. Even the staff is alright, but it's not the GREATEST bar I've been to, but definitely not the worst.
The daiquiris really are tasty if you're into empty calories.
This used to be the Daiquiri Deck, but they changed the name. I've never been here before so I couldn't tell you why the name change. Anyways finished the night out here for my best friends birthday and must say this is a fun spot. We sat out on the deck and had a blast. If for nothing else go here to just people watch. All kind of different personalities show up here.
Anyways on to the drinks. I'm not normally a frozen drink kind of girl, but these drinks were awesome. Its very rare for me that when I order a drink it taste like the description, but these did for sure. The prices are pretty good as well. Oh then we ordered the white pizza and it was one of the best pizzas I have had in a long time.
I wish I would have gotten our waitress name cause she was awesome. This place is about a 45 min drive for me, but I wouldn't mind the drive again.
Gave it a shot based on yelp reviews. Place looked beat up, crappy outside tables with dirty old ashtrays. BUT. Had a great burger as well as nicely seasoned peel and eat shrimp. Had the diesel daiquiris 2 for 1 at happy hour. Prices were average. We did  the burger, dozen shrimp, daiquiris and the buffalo chicken tenders (they were ok) for round 50 bucks. Definitely worth stopping
Review Source:This is a great place for Happy hour. 2 for 1!!! Not a big fan of the late night stuff here because it gets so crowded and there is a cover charge. There is no smoking inside but there is a patio and tiki bar outside. Its not on the water but across the street. The waitstaff are friendly, the drinks are yummy and I can walk there from my house!
Review Source:I have to admit that my first thought was that the Daiquiri Deck would be trashy yet fun, but I ended up really liking it. Â The service we received was incredibly friendly and expedient. Â We sat on the patio, blissed out with frozen drinks under the stars. Â They have 32 (yes, I counted) recipes of frozen drinks on the menu, although about half seemed to be mixtures of two or more of the other half. Â I got an Electric Lemonade, good although not sour enough (a couple lemon wedges fixed that.) Â Boyfriend got the Mandango, which was more strawberry than mango and sweet as sin.
The menu is also pretty expansive, with lots of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, and plenty of fish. Â They also serve oysters and peel-n-eat shrimp, neither my thing. Â We ordered chicken nachos and were served a massive mess of a platter that was yummy, crunchy, and spicy, with house-made salsa. Â We also ordered chicken tenders with wing sauce. Â I am something of a buffalo sauce connoisseur, and I give two thumbs up to both the sauce and the ranch. Â
Our bill was reasonable at the end of the night, perhaps because the drinks were so strong we didn't need more than one each. Â Also, the place wasn't very loud and there wasn't a cover, so I guess they don't do live music every night. Â They were playing 80's music complete with videos, though, and Boyfriend loves cheesy 80's shit, so bonus there.
As a final note, I have to commend this place on their ladies' room. Â Bars aren't known for their pleasant bathrooms, but this one is all tile borders and fresh smells and - say WHAT - a Koala Care changing table. Â With extra-private stalls with walls that damn near touch the floor. Â Seriously, if you're a dive bar and you want to win the hearts and minds of your female clientele, a nice bathroom is the way to do it. Â Snaps for Daiquiri Deck.
So my travel companion was hankering for "one of those GIANT tropical drinks" so he could take pictures and send them to his buddies who were freezing their butts off back in North Dakota. Daiquiri Deck was the right choice!
There are three seating areas: the main bar inside downstairs, a second bar outside (partially enclosed) with a sandy patch of "beach" in front of it to play drunken games on, and an upstairs, outdoor patio area where they play live music. We visited all three areas.
If you like frozen drinks, this is the place for you! They have about 12 'standard' frozen concoctions to choose from, then about 12 more 'blends' of the standards mixed together into heavenly creations, then on top of that you can customize your own. We both opted for creations off the menu in their GIANT-sized souvenir cups (see pics). Our servers (both downstairs and upstairs) were friendly and helpful. The drinks were DELICIOUS. We had a great time. I recommend giving them a try.
P.S. The food looked good, but we didn't order any.
P.P.S. If you sit upstairs on the deck, keep an eye out for these teeny tiny orange-colored bugs (aphids? mites?) that seem to love the white tables and canopy around the perimeter of the deck, at least when we were there in late-February. These little buggers (haha) were EVERYWHERE -- on me, on the table, in my drink(!!!) I kept myself busy fishing them out of my daiquiri, so as not to swallow any. Most ppl may not even notice them, as they are sooo small... but a bug is a bug is a bug to me. That was the only single drawback of our visit.
P.P.P.S. If you plan on getting hammered, avoid the upstairs deck. The stairs going back down are S-T-E-E-P!
I can't deny that there's something about beach air that makes it ok for a burly, bearded man like myself to enjoy a fruity frozen drink time and again. Daquiri Deck is a great place to have a few of them. My favorite is the Patriot. 2nd place for me is... I think it's called Deck Diesel? Jet Fuel? I don't remember. Not because of bad memory though, just a side effect of drinking a couple of them. The drinks seem weak at first, but complain about the wussyness of the drink AFTER you stand up. The wait staff is fairly chill, but beware of the salty vets that hang out at the outside bar. Definitely go if you get the chance. Get sloshed, have a 7eleven sandwich, and go to the beach and chill.
Review Source:Cheap, loud and tasty.
I've been coming to the Mad Beach area for years, and this place is always in the rotation. It's great for a tasty lunch with a cold beer or cocktail, and everything is reasonably priced.
At night, it gets loud. Uncomfortably so. But I've still gone with friend and had a good time, you just have to be prepared for the experience. Overall, I prefer it as a daytime beach bar.
Music was very loud to where it's hard to hear/talk. There is a cover :(
The frozen drinks were pretty tasty, but that's about the only thing this place has going for it. It's way too loud to here anything and too big, imo, to mingle. It's really a place to eat and drink with friends, at night at least.
Good food, friendly young staff, great live music, good place to watch sports games, good place to go have drinks and dance with friends! Amazing daiquiri menu, the diesel fuel is awesome!! Extensive food menu, theres something for every taste- everything always tastes good and not bad prices. I live right down the road and go there often!
Review Source:The name made me think it was going to be a fun, beachy sort of bar but it was just an ordinary dark, stuffy bar. Â The inside didn't really flow so I always felt like I was standing in the walkway. Â I did have one of the frozen drinks- the electric lemonade, I think and that was really good and surprisingly strong.
Review Source:Great bar to watch games, eat, and drink. Good beer selection but ya gotta go there to suck down the frozen stuff. The only danger is the infamous brain freeze if you drink to fast., Huge menu so you have a lot of choices. Hit the website and you will see what I mean. Â I highly suggest a designated driver.
